Avoid this dealership

by Chris Allen on 08/16/2022

I recommend staying away from this dealership. I did not have a good car buying experience. The only reason I purchased a vehicle here was because it was in the ballpark of the vehicles that I had been searching for. The issue I have with this place is that they try to con you into a deal. They are not straight up and transparent. Here is my advice if you choose to deal with this company. Check their website for dealer fees, also hidden fees, they offer options that are not really optional. If the car is priced low they are just trying to get you to their dealership to raise the price when you get there. Watch out for their salesman and what deals they offer you. They want to lock you into a bad deal if you are not aware. They will present monthly payments that are high to get you to offer more money down even if that’s not what the bank or the finance company recommends. They don’t show you any finance options or how they came up w/their offer. They talk to each other or their managers like they are really trying to help you but it’s their con artist tactic. The funny thing about the price of the vehicle I got from them was that if they didn’t try to con me with the fees the price wasn’t bad. It was still in ballpark of the vehicles I was looking for. They just priced it lower and tried to make it up with all these fees and vehicle options. Also, to give me a crazy monthly payment so I can pay them much more on the backend. I’m fine with anyone making a profit but trying to take advantage of people is very low. I shouldn’t have bought the vehicle from them off principle but I did my own numbers game and decided to buy a vehicle that I wanted. It had nothing to do with their customer service or the car buying experience. My advice is to stay away but if you do go to this dealer just be aware they are [non-permissible content removed] and they will try pull the wool over your eyes- Best of luck

Horrible service dont go there

by Marcinchy on 08/16/2018

DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brought my new nissan maxima there 2 weeks ago got there early at 8 am for oil change at 10:30 I asked how much longer seems they forgot about so I waited an hour longer. Next day my wife took the car to work I opened the garage and there is huge puddle of oil on the floor they had to tow the car from work parking lot so they call my wife and tell her that the oil drain plug broke while changing the oil. On the work order they put that it was due to worn out drain plug gasket IT WAS THE FIRST OIL CHANGE!!!! When I finally pick up the car Nicholas Ruffolo the service manager finally admitted the the tech didn’t tighten it back and told me this happens a lot they were supposed to clean my garage floor but no call from them or call back on the messages i left. VERY BAD SERVICE WONT EVER GO BACK I DON’T RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They really went out of their way to help me

by Anonymous on 07/20/2018

I just purchased a used Jeep from Arlington Nissan. Trevor, Jessie and Mike all went out of their way to get me into that Jeep. I have horrible credit and they took the time and worked with several lenders to get me financing. Even after getting approved by one lender, they shopped around and found me better financing. I had been to several other dealerships and after about 5 minutes, they all said they could not help me. I highly recommend Arlington Nissan and will not hesitate to go back when I need another vehicle.

by Debra on 03/06/2018

Awesome dealership, This dealership is the nicest dealership I’ve been in as well as the nicest people in the service dept. I needed a key fob for my sons car and Nick worked with me! He is honest and understanding! Both Nick and Vince were friendly as well as helpful. When I need to purchase a car I will definitely purchase from this dealership!

by cubbiesfan1 on 08/29/2014

Sales and service bad experiences. This dealership defines the sleazy car dealership. Service repair done in 2013 where they told me they replaced something, only to find out in 2014 they lied and patched the wires. Took e-mailing the corporate office to get resolution. Went in for end of year event, told on the phone by sale man they are offering $5-7000 above KBB to buy car, arrived and was met by rude salesman who didn't show me a single car, and returned with my keys saying they would pay me $3000 below KBB for my vehicle. Replied to customer service survey from GM with issues, only to get the email returned with the address invalid (from hitting reply which the letter stated to do). Do not spend a minute at this place, they don't care about their customers to sell to, and don't care about their customer service. The WORST sales and service experience I have ever had in 30 years go buying cars.

Won't refer this dealer to anyone

by viv7 on 05/12/2014

I won't recommend this dealer to anyone. Recently I went there to buy a vehicle. I entered the dealership around 6:30 PM and was there till 10:00 PM and they forced me to make a deal -- which was very crappy for me. They persuaded so hard that it almost felt like 'YOU HAVE TO BUY THE CAR TODAY'. All numbers they gave (like Invoice price, MSRP, etc.) were all incorrect. They lied on the face about price AND won't honor the price offered over phone or email. At the end it was pathetic experience. They forced delivered the vehicle around 10:00 PM!!!! Never go there, they will fool you with fake price and add bunch of warranty/coverage to inflate your price.

Never again

by PaigeLambeth on 02/27/2014

I walked in the door and no one asked if they could help me. The minute my husband walked in behind me, sales people flocked to him. After a long process, we ended up purchasing a vehicle from Arlington Nissan. I still was never sure who our sales person was since we kept getting passed off on to numerous sales people. When we went to financing, I noticed there was a discrepancy in the final amount of the vehicle. There was a $7 difference in the dealership's favor. I asked for it to be changed since this paper asked for a signature. The sales manager was so rude and made it to be a complete inconvenience on his part to change the final amount. Never an apology. Just rude comments under his breath. I should have walked there and then. Stupid on my part. We were never shown the service area or introduced to a service manager. Nor did anyone go over the vehicle features with us. Granted it was late when we left but that is no excuse for poor service. And our 2013 trade in...well, it's sitting in your lot waiting to be sold not in the back waiting to be put in an auction as you stated, since you said the car was a "piece of crap!" I had to come in to pick up additional paperwork and again, a female in a car dealer can never get any customer service. We purchased an extended warranty to cover the vehicle from "bumper to bumper." Sales said we could not go there for service. Never will I recommend this dealer and I guess I will be unable to take the car that we purchased from you for service either. That's probably for the best anyway.

Worst in memory and I'm in my seventies!

by Timewasted on 07/26/2013

Zero or negative stars would have been overall rating if that option had been available. I will not provide a chronological summary of our tiring and troubling experience except to say that it was a complete waste of four and a half hours over two days. Including lengthy waiting periods for managers to provide promised information which was never provided. Nothing wrong with the sales person, but the conduct of two different managers on the two different days was absurd. Previous reviewer's observation that they must not want to sell is obviously incorrect. They do not want to deal with intelligent buyers such as himself, but must believe that a sucker is born every minute. For example, unsolicited, repeat unsolicited, documents and information to provide the dealer's actual net cost of the auto was promised by the assistant general manager. Never delivered after over a half hour wait. Bogus numbers which bore no significant relationship to the terms of a normal leasing agreement were then presented. We could not leave as quickly as we wished because we had to obtain our car key from the assistant general manager. It is not a matter of buyer beware, but legitimate buyers avoid at all costs.

Rohrman Arlington Nissan doesn't care if you buy from them or not

by doctormabuse on 03/16/2013

Worst car shopping experience ever. No salesman came out to the lot, once inside we had to ask for one. Test drove a 2011—that’s right, a car that they has been on their lot for more than 2 years. He said that I might get up to $5000 off the sticker just to move it, and that they had a 0% financing program. Kept us at his desk for several 20 minute to half hour periods while he went to talk to the sales manager, only to keep asking for the same price--the invoice price they paid two years ago. No negotiating on a car that has been deteriorating in the sun and snow two years, but huge gaps of time just to tell me that they won't negotiate--not even an attempt to talk me into an alternative car. Oh, and the 0%? That “ended last week.” I was offering $10,000 down and have excellent credit and they let me walk out wondering what is wrong with them, what kind of business they think they are in, why they don't want to sell a car.

HORRIBLE! Don't buy or service your vehicle here!

by jtuman67 on 08/30/2012

I purchased a new Nissan Murano at Arlington Heights Nissan when my current Nissan Maxima had to be towed there unexpectedly as that was the closest dealership to work. It was towed at 3:30 PM on a Tuesday. I had to call at 10:30 AM on Wednesday to see what was wrong with it. At that time, they told me it would cost $3,000 to get it fixed. I asked to speak with a Salesmen, and I was put in touch with Sam Barcham. I explained the situation to Eddie that I wanted to purchase a new car rather than putting the money into an old car. I told him my car was in their service department and what vehicles I had seen online that I would like to look at. I told him the loan terms I was looking at. He talked to his Manager, called me back and guaranteed me at 11:00 AM that day that they could in face meet my requirements by paying off my old car, repairs included, and I could finance one of the two cars I had been looking at for the terms I wanted. My husband, 4 year old daughter, and I went there that same day at 5:00 PM, 6 hours later. They had not even looked at my car yet, and Eddie explained to me the cars I was looking at were too expensive to meet my loan terms. I told him I had run the numbers, and they were in fact within my loan terms. He explained they had not factored in the payoff on my old car yet, even though he had told me at 11:00 am they had. I was livid. We proceeded to test drive two cars, and then we began the horrendous negotiation process. He and his Manager, Eddie Reyes, played the game “we have to go look at your car” at least twice, even though they had had my car and knew my intentions since 11:00 AM that same day. They then told me they could not meet my requirements, and asked me what they needed to do to “get me into that car”. My husband was livid, and told them to just fix the old one, and we were leaving. We were stuck, because my car was undrivable and in their shop. We did not want to pay for it to be towed again to another dealership. After an hour of back and forth, during which I had been called “honey” and “sweetheart”, they finally met my exact terms I had stated at 11:00 AM and again at the beginning of the negotiating process that evening. It took them another hour and a half to get the car and paperwork prepared, during which I had to call for my own payoff, and then Sam asked me to give him all 10s on the Nissan survey I would receive via email. 10 days later I received a “Maintenance Plus” agreement in the mail from Arlington Heights Nissan with no explanation at all. I called Nissan, and the confirmed it was a maintenance agreement for 2 years as I had read it. I have gone to a separate Nissan dealership twice now, and the agreement was never processed or paid for by Arlington Heights Nissan. The other dealership has now paid for my maintenance twice due to Arlington Heights Nissan’s incompetent service. I will never purchase nor service a vehicle at Arlington Heights Nissan again. I would highly recommend you avoid it. Rosen Nissan Gurnee, on the other hand, is incredible!

STAY AWAY!! FIND ANOTHER DEALER!!

by teds1515 on 03/25/2012

I had the most unpleasant experience here. I had no problem with the sales rep, Rob, but as for the sales manager Eddie Reyes, forget about it. He was cocky, arrogant, overbearing, loud, and just plain BAD. He tried to low ball my trade, it was insulting to say the least. Needless to say, I went to Martin Nissan in Skokie and purchased my new 2012 370Z from them.

Arlington Nissan Has Deceptive Advertising

by dalon on 12/13/2011

I feel so bad for the sales guy so I won't even say anything about him. I went to this dealership b/c they put down 17,200 in a newspaper advertisement 2 times for the 2011 Nissan Rogue. Sure, I knew that was for the base model with FWD but I figured that the next option, which is the base model with AWD would be about $1300 more, so I figured, hey, let's try and ask for 18,500 BASED ON THE ADVERTISEMENT. They were completely unwilling to do this. Then, I show them the truecar price quote for the car, which is around 20,100. They were willing to take this offer but not a dollar below even though a couple of other dealerships(who had no advertisements) were willing to be a bit more flexible and let down the price a little bit below the quoted price on truecar. These are the biggest [violative content deleted]. Russian sales manager, Alex Levkovitch even admitted to us that the newspaper advertisement is a way to get people to come in, then they sucker people into paying higher prices than they normally would. This is a very deceptive, yet legal strategy. They got some fast talk sales managers who try to confuse the hell out of you but in the end, they fall way short of what they advertise. Then, when we left, they didn't care, they just let us leave without asking us back. They knew we were too smart for them and they knew that we caught on to their games. That's okay, they will get plenty of bad advertising from me for a long time to anybody that I come in contact with. Arlington Nissan is full of false advertising and false hopes. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. You've been forewarned. If you put in an advertisement, you expect the dealership to honor it, not screw around. By the way, they don't include the added destination fees in their small print. This fleet manager was trying to tell me that the 17,200 didn't include destination fees and he couldn't show me where it was on the ad. [violative content deleted].

[violative content deleted] incompetent and arrogant sales manager

by raima18 on 08/30/2011

One of the most horrible places with the most arrogant sales manager i have ever met. They wasted 3 hours of my time. They never give you the right price in the first place. We were ready to buy a brand new car, but when the sales guy gave us the final price it went way over our budget, so we backed out. So then the school going age sales manager comes in a suit and a tie and says oh no problem we have used ones in your budget for $13000 look at that. We spent another hour test driving the car and checking it out, then we come in to make an offer. And the manager said so the price is $14000 and after taxes it will be $16000. I swear both me and my husband heard him say $13000 before we went for the test drive. He plainly lied saying he never said that. And then giving me some stupid examples of going to a store and buying lemons and just got up and shook my hands and said why dont you go to some other place and buy a car. I just could not take it anymore. We got up and left. I may buy a nissan from any other dealership in chicago but never want to come back to this place. The place is run by amatuers. Don't waste your time and money at this place, They are [violative content deleted].

Stay away from this place!

by scottkirch on 02/16/2011

I called the sales guy I was dealing with, and told him that I had a qoute from another dealership and wanted to see if they could beat it. They said could and told me come on in. Not only did they not beat the price the price but when they gave me there price for the car it was more than what the other dealership offered. Also they made my family I sit around for 2 hours. We have 6 and 2 yearold. After we walked out the sales manager called me to try to convince us to come back in. His selling point was that Arlington Nissan price will be only $6 dollars more per month. I told him that if it was only $6 dollars more per month than they should cover it. He had no response. If you like getting jacked around go to Arlington Nissan. Other wise I would recommend staying away.
