Best no hassle car buying experience...ever!

I've purchased many vehicles and dealt with many salesman and dealerships over the years. I've been looking high and low for a 2023 Chevrolet Colorado. Due to the current strike, part shortages etc, I've been having a devil of a time finding one that does not have an insane dealer mark up, or one at all with the options I wanted. After going through many dealership that are sold out or "in transit" meaning...usually spoken for or stuck at assembly plant due to strike), I came across a fully loaded Colorado LT below MSRP! I did want the Z71, but they luckily (and smartly) loaded this particular stock order LT. Other then vented seats (not a deal breaker), was exactly how I would have ordered the Z71. And, this was easily $8-9k below a similarly optioned Z71. Yes, the Z71 interior is a bit nicer and it has more off-road chops, but, again, they make nice stock option choices, and this upgraded LT is nice inside and out! Anyway, I called first thing Monday morning, and it was still available! My salesman Scott L, put the vehicle "on hold (no money deposit asked for)" as it was a 3.5 hour drive from my home, and promised they would not sell it even if someone came in before I arrived at the dealership. Upon arrival the Colorado was up front with a big "hold" sign on it (and it was a beauty!) Scott was a no pressure salesman. There were no "junk fee's" such as that worthless "window etching", "prep fees" or other things many dealerships try to add on. And, the price was exactly as advertised (again, unbelievably below MSRP as this truck is a hot seller). My initial trade in offer was below what I wanted (expected). I countered, and to my surprise, they gave me what I was asking for without the usual back-and-forth, and I researched in detail what the trade in for my particular deal should be. The finance gentlemen (always the hardest part on a dealersip sale) only pushed an extended warranty, I declined. The contract (and I went through it line-by-line) had no hidden fees. This was a first for me! Final outcome, I got the beautiful truck I wanted, $2k below MSRP, no pressure, fair trade in value, and polite staff (even the Sales Manager! Lol). It's one of the few times I've left a dealership not being a bit irritated with the purchasing process. If all salesman at Kendall Chevy (Nampa, I.D.) are like Scott, and the buying process is the same, one cannot go wrong! For the first time, I would highly recommend a dealership!
