2013 Ford Escape Sel

I like this car overall but the mileage is not that good for a subcompact car. I called the dealer and spoke to the sales manager in regards to my concern about the poor gas mileage. He was rude and talked over me while I was trying to express my concerns. He had very poor customer service and seemed as he just wanted didn't want to be bothered since I already purchased the car. The manager asked how many miles were on the car now. I told him. There was a 320 mile difference from the time I drove the car off the lot, two days earlier. I have driven the car maybe 220 at the most. He insisted that the mileage was good, the car had been serviced properly and I had put 320 miles on the car. I concluded that the odometer reported on my contract was different than the actual reading, by about 100 miles. Unfortunately I didn't realize that until after a couple of days.

We were looking to replace my wife's car, and saw that Cherokee Ford had several 2014 Fusions and decided to have a look. The helpful salesman showed us his list of what was available, and we selected a couple to test drive. One was already sold (darn), but the second choice was what we bought. Thank You Craig and Cherokee Ford!

Was looking to purchase 2015 F-150 XLT Super Crew for my dad, I knew exactly what options I wanted on the truck down to the color which was hard to find. Do to my busy travel schedule I stopped in one Saturday about a month ago and was met by Craig King in sales. I explained my situation to Craig and he told me he would start working on finding the exact vehicle I was looking for, now for the kicker....I was out of town the whole next week so this entire transaction took place via phone and text! Not only did Craig come through finding the vehicle, we were able to agree on a price both I and Cherokee Ford were happy about. Needless to say, when returning to town, Craig had everything ready to go and the transaction was seamless. Craig was great to work with, Friendly, No Pressure and communicated extremely well. My hat goes off to Craig and the entire Cherokee Ford staff! P.S. When returning to the dealership 3 weeks later to pick up a ordered bed mat for the truck, a used vehicle caught my eye. After returning home, I called Craig up to discuss purchasing that vehicle, within 20 minutes Craig was calling me back after discussing the deal with his G.M.Steve Ferenczy and again, another transaction was completed! Exceptional trade-in value & new car pricing

It was a no-pressure environment. They knew I wasn't trying to jerk their chain (something I would normally have to do to level the playing field working a car purchase deal) and they treated me with respect. I'm sure they still made money on the transaction, after all that is why they are in business, but we walked away with a paid off trade-in and a very fair out the door price on a 2015 closeout. Mason Race and Steve Ferenczy were great to deal with and they've been standup guys after the sale as well with a minor paint issue discovered in daylight the next day. If in the market for a Ford or a used vehicle they have in inventory, I'll definitely check them out and will refer others to do the same.

My Nightmare with Cherokee Ford

I recently purchased a used vehicle from Cherokee Ford Woodstock. I have taken to this review to warn prospective buyers about the nightmare of an experience you may face if you go through this dealership. I opted to purchase a vehicle through this dealership even though I had found the same vehicle with less mileage for a lower price nearby... I made this decision BECAUSE I felt SAFE purchasing from a Ford dealership and was assured time and time again by my salesman, Harvey, that the truck was in "great mechanical condition". Throughout my sales experience I received awful customer service. The salesman tiptoed around discussing price, I received aggravated responses when asking questions, and was extremely rushed through the financing process. However, my issues go far beyond that of a rude salesman and finance manager. After leaving the dealership, I made it SEVEN MILES before a red light illuminated and read "check charging station" The next day I brought my vehicle back to discover that the alternator was bad and would need to be replaced. To their credit, the dealership did replace the alternator.. However, there was no excess of apology or extra courtesy extended to me to ratify the situation. I was not even approached by a manager. It also should be noted that the "courtesy vehicle" I was given from the dealership was the oldest Ford Edge on the lot and the gas tank was on EMPTY!! (So in addition to the gas spent on the 50 mile drive to and from the dealership I also payed to put gas in the courtesy vehicle). I picked my vehicle up from the dealership, and two days later a yellow check engine light comes on.I called and left a voicemail stating that i had another issue and it was urgent! No one returned the call. So,I called again until I reached someone and informed them of the issue. I expressed my EXTREME disappointment, and made it clear I would like to speak to a manager when I arrived at the dealership. After arriving, I was told I'd have to wait a few hours to have my truck looked at by Harvey. ( still no manager to be found or seen) Instead of waiting, I decided to take the truck to autozone to have them run a diagnostic and discovered the light was due to a gas cap Issue (PHEW!). The dealership first instructed me to buy an aftermarket gas cap and they would reimburse me. They then changed course and informed me that an aftermarket cap WOULD NOT WORK and that I needed to drive BACK to the dealership. At this point I was worried I had been sold a "lemon" and I honestly wanted to return the truck! When I returned to the dealership, I mentioned a few minor issues I had noticed on the truck to my salesman, Harvey. These were small details such as a faded ford emblem on the grill (the emblem retails for $25), the lack of a spare key, and a small crack in the windshield. I assumed that the dealership might offer to cover these things to compensate for my experience.. WRONG! I was told to buy the items and was brushed off. Here's the best part.. My salesman also throws in " YOU BOUGHT A USED TRUCK, WE COULD HAVE JUST TOLD YOU SORRY, ITS SOLD AS IS" Excuse me for expecting better service after purchasing a $20,000 vehicle (sarcasm). This could have been a perfect opportunity for them to change my experience, but instead, I received my gas cap, and was sent on my way. Did I mention I was still NEVER APPROACHED BY A MANAGER? even after requesting to speak with him multiple times. What a nightmare! I WAS BLATANTLY LIED TO ABOUT THE CONDITION OF MY VEHICLE by this dealership and treated like a second rate customer. I hope you do not experience the same service.

Stopped in on a Friday "just looking" bought a new truck on Saturday morning in large measure due to the sales person, Mason. Also pretty impressed with the finance manager too. Really like my new F250 Diesel. Have already recommended to a couple of family members.

Would not do business here

I tried to buy a car. We arrived at $28k after trade and before taxes. I was sent to the business manager who put an invoice in front of me for $34k!!! All the doc fees, wrong price to start, etc, etc. I spent an hour trying to get the price we agreed on. They would not do it! And they even had to go to NC to get my car. I called the NC dealer who said they never received a call from Wdstk saying they wanted that car! All this turned me off so much that I put off buying a car for two months. Then I went and bought a Jeep. I'm happy now!

I was quickly responded to and the online salesperson worked with me to find my new car and negotiate the right price. I spoke with other dealerships around Atlanta, but none could not compete with their price so I decided to go into Cherokee Ford Woodstock. Their in-house sales where friendly and helpful, we test drove the car and made our purchase.

Great Ford Products. Poor Post Purchase Service

I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape for my wife for Christmas. They didn't have the color she wanted in stock, so they had one delivered from their sister store in Alpharetta. The car did not come with the owners manual, a second key fob and the valet keys. A week and a half later and we're still getting the run-around about the second key. First they tried to "track it down" from the other dealership, but it seems to have gotten lost. Then I was told by the manager to just come into the dealership and they would just program a second one for us. He said, "come on in, it will take us about 20 minutes." I dropped everything and went straight in. After waiting nearly an hour, the Service person advised that they didn't have the key fob in stock and would have to order it. He advised it would take a couple days to get in and he would call us when it arrived. Four days later and still no call. I finally called back and the part is still not arrived. On top of that, I was advised by the service tech that this particular model doesn't have valet keys. I'm sure it does, but didn't want to argue. Still waiting on the key fob. Let's see when it actually arrives. And don't even get me started that we're still waiting to hear about our window tinting appointment. This is the second Ford we've purchased from this dealership this year! We had a few hiccups with the first one too, but didn't much worry about it. The sales guys are always very nice and pleasant to deal with. It's the post purchase service that really falls down.

I found a deal on a car in Stone Mountain but I didn't want to drive that far so I called Cherokee Ford and told them the situation. They were able to work the deal on a similar car and get me the same great deal. Took me less than an hour to purchase the vehicle. It was a great buying experience.

Won't buy another car here!

My family has purchased 3 vehicles over the years from this dealership. Once a customer is able to find a salesperson the process of purchasing a vehicle is pretty cut and dry. Finding a salesperson is not so easy. There seem to be a lot of personal conversations going on by phone or among a few salespeople that are more important that a possible car sale. Amazingly, the service department is even worse. The service manager seems to have a prepared speech straight from Ford to share with any customer who has encountered a problem with their vehicle whether it be brand new or six years old. While the dealership is convenient to my home I will never consider this dealership as a place to purchase a new vehicle again.
