Rude General Manager

by Rude Management on 09/20/2019

Currently in negotiations with MCS. Salesman PKis very nice but then that's his job. However PK what's going to be out of the office the following day after my initial visit so when I called in to talk with them about my financing I was told by the guy who answered the phone that he would immediately pull the information on my cosigner and take it to Nubian and that I should call back and he would have all the numbers for me. On my break I did call back and had the most rude experience of my life. I was frustrated because he did not seem to know anything about it. That was not my fault. So he wants to start from scratch but first he tells me I was not approved at which is explained that I know that but I was told to get a cosigner which I did so again he tries to start over from scratch because clearly he doesn't have a clue what's going on and I don't have time to explain everything because that's what should have been done before I called so I told him that I did not feel well and he told me that maybe I needed to call back when I felt better because he didn't like my tone, the tone of a frustrated woman who has very little time to explain the entire scenario for the third time. In any event I told him that I did not need to call back when I felt better because now is when I can talk so I said he could let me speak with someone else. He said that's exactly what I should do because he's trying to help me and then he hung up the phone. When I call back the receptionist was equally as rude as if she had some personal relationship with him she explained that he was the general manager I told her how he was being rude with me and she hung up the phone so needless to say I won't be doing business with them. One thing I believe is that you need to have a good and trusting relationship with any salesman when you're talking about spending that kind of money. They don't have the only car lot in Georgia or even in Marietta for that matter. They're salesman saw me test driving a car from a different lot and asked me to come and check out their cars. I didn't go in search of them on my own. I can go back and get the other vehicle. It was cheaper it was just as nice although it did not have all the features it's not something that's going to kill me whether or not I have a backup camera and navigation. It had the main feature that I need it which was hands-free. So Marietta Motors can just hold on to that car for another 57 days.

Run AWAY

by Tink423 on 07/02/2019

Please read you should run away from Marietta Auto !! I would like to start by saying everyone was very friendly and helpful. The glove box was broken and they agreed to order a new one. After I purchased the vehicle the salesman kept asking if I did the Google review while I was still waiting for my car. I was reluctant, but went ahead a did a quick review. However, it has been a week and this is my new review. With that being said I would never recommend Marietta Auto Sales ! I bought a car from them on Nov 23 2018. I drove it home to Chattanooga . The next morning I get in it and the due for service light comes on and check coolant light. Keep in mind I was told the car had been fully serviced and check out completely. I texted the very nice guy that sold me the car and literally got the cold shoulder. A few days later I was looking to check the oil just to make sure things were okay and I found that the dip stick was broken off it the hole. I instantly called Marietta Auto sales and asked for the Manager, whom was not available. I texted my sales man and to my surprise, he told me I should have check all that out when I bought the car and I should have told them if the dip stick was broken before I purchased the car. I explained I had no reason to check for a broken off dip stick. I was told it had a complete service or they would not have been able to sale it. He also stated that their cars are "as is" and that I will have to deal with it on my own. The agreed to fix the glove box and that was expense enough. He also suggested that I could have broken the dip stick and there is no way to know if it was like that at the dealer. He also said it was not the dealers problem that the car was due for service because the day I purchased the vehicle it was not calling for service, it was not their problem it needed service the very next day, cause it didn't require it just the day before when it was purchased. If that even makes since. After several back and forth text I asking him if that was the official response of Marrietta Auto and he responded YES! Which, I have copy of our texts..... For that reason, I would never buy another car from Marietta Auto and if you must purchase from them I would make sure you check ever cap, every screw, and every hose, cause once you drive away its your problem!! Their words not mine ! UPDATE>>>>>>>>> Toby, Thank you for the reply, However I have tried to contact you several time and I have left MSG for you on Nov 1 and Nov 5. Each time I am told you are busy by the person that answers the phone, they take my name and number, but I get no return call. That alone tells me what degree of concern you have! Even Chris the salesman was suppose to get the answers to my questions 3 days ago and still no response.. You have my contact info if you are truly "concerned after the sale as we were before the sale" you would have returned my calls ! Update 2--------> Spoke with Toby and he promised to reimburse me for the repairs and he would set up an appointment to have my glove box installed here in town to make it more convenient for me, However, I have not had any follow up in over a week. On top of that I took the car for emissions so I could get my tag and it FAILED !!! At this point, I own a car that I can not even get a tag for, so at this point I am at a complete loss and I will be contacting my lender since Marietta Auto is one of there platinum dealers.. I am just amazed and shock that they would sell a vehicle that you can not even get tagged !!!! I have called and left TOBY a msg, Let's see if Marietta Auto stands behind their car.... Update 3---------> as expected empty promise...... So its been about 7 months since I purchased my car from Marietta Auto and I can say that it is the absolute worse decision I ever made. [non-permissibl content removed] The only promise they followed through on was mailing me my glove box, no install of the box, no refund of all the $$ I spent just to get it to pass emission. Over 8k in repairs so far, radiator, oil leaks, senors, 4k just on diesel senors alone and the car is still in the shop today. They promised the car was top knotch when i bought it, that is why they would not negotiate on the price. [non-permissible content removed]

Beware

by mercedes43 on 05/05/2018

The facts: -On Sunday, April 29th my wife, two little kids, and I drove up 75 through lots of traffic to Marietta Auto Sales to test drive a 2015 Mercedes GL450. -After a pleasant conversation w/ a sales guy, we loaded in our car seats and went for a drive. We then sat down and talked for 30 minutes before heading back into town. -On the way out of the office, I let the sales guy and finance officer know that I noticed that that the price on the car was different on their website and other online marketplaces (about a $3K difference). The finance guy made a joke about it and the sales guys said, yes, we know, and will honor the lower price. I took a screenshot of the price. -As I spent HOURS finding a great loan rate, researching warranty programs, and researching the service history of this specific car, I was texting w/ my sales guy everyday to keep him in the loop. -On Thursday night, I literally ran out of work to make the drive from downtown Atlanta up to Marietta so that I could pick up the car and drive it back down into town through lots more traffic to drop off at my mechanic for an inspection. -Friday, I Ubered to work... Again, literally ran out of my office so I could Uber to my mechanic (who gave the car the thumbs up), paid for the inspection and to have a tail light bulb put in, dropped in $25 of gas, picked up my kids from school, and drove up through Friday afternoon traffic to buy the car. -As soon as I sat down w/ my sales guy, it was clear something was up. I asked how my trade-in would impact the $33.9K sale price and he asked where I saw that price. I said I saw it on autotrader, as we discussed last week. He said he couldn’t find that price online. Fortunately, I had my screenshot, which I showed him. He was clearly uncomfortable with the situation and went to talk with the finance manager. He came back telling me how the new price, $35.9K, was such a great deal. I let him know it wasn’t about how good a deal it was or wasn’t; it was about that fact that you can’t last minute raise the price on someone. Again, he went back to the finance manager and came back to say that that was in fact the price last weekend but it must have been a mistake. Despite his comments, it was clear that everyone knew this was a thinly veiled lie. -Here’s my read: they lowered the price at the end of the month to hit a number. Now they have another potential buyer and/or a few more weeks before the end of the next month so have increased the price. -All that would be fine if they hadn’t promised to honor last weekend’s price and/or would have indicated that this was the case sometime this week -- so I wouldn’t have wasted HOURS of time preparing to buy this car. -But instead I went through all this work to only sit down and get the bait-and-switch. So I explained to the kids we weren’t bringing a new car home to mom, took the car seats out of our new car, and headed back into traffic. -Beyond all the wasted time and money (over $250 for the inspection, Uber rides, gas, light), my wife, kids and I were all really excited about our new car. ‘Daddy, why aren’t we buying the car?... But I love this car, Daddy.’ In sum, this experience reinforced all the warnings your hear about buying a used car from an independent and (apparently) shady used car dealership.

UNIMPRESSED

by ALLISOBLE on 03/30/2018

The only good experience i had was the initial sales guy, CHAUNCEY. He took care of me and answered all my questions. Very polite as well. However, the customer service beyond this was horrible. It took my almost TWO months to get my tag sent to me. This was with over 10 phone calls and speaking with 3 different people. They did not make me feel important or that i was an sort of priority. I paid for a service that they did not reimburse for and I have had to call over several weeks to have someone do anything. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED by their lack of care for me and I will never recommend to anyone to use them for anything.

Outstanding

by Aziz on 03/21/2018

I had an incredible time at Marietta Auto Sales. I was very satisfied by the service provided by all of the employees, especially Greg, he was very thorough in the way he handled my case and made sure that all my demands were met. I ended up walking out with a brand new car that I absolutely love. Would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a great car.

Bring a mechanic

by 2010JEEP on 01/18/2018

3/31/17 Purchased $30,000 vehicle and a $2400 extended warranty. Check engine light came on after one week. Took it to a reputable dealership and was greeted with a $4300 estimate for repairs that were needed. Finance guy lied about warranty and told me it covered the already existing suspension lift etc. Took it to Marietta Auto sales because I was assured that all the issues would be fixed. Wrong....another lie. I paid a $100 deductible and left vehicle to be fixed. A couple weeks later I picked it up to only have the check engine light come on and emergency brake not work when I got home. Almost a year later and 100’s of phone calls my Jeep is back at Marietta Auto Sales where it has been for two weeks and was made aware today the only thing they are fixing is the emergency brake. My vehicle sat on the lot in the same spot for days before they even looked at it. Also told me the other dealership was over estimating the cost and number of issues they found. Can’t wait to let that dealership know they were called liars by Marietta Auto Sales. Also, the first time my Jeep was at Marietta Auto Sales for two weeks someone damaged the rear passenger corner. I have before and after pictures. They have yet to acknowledge that it happened or a solution to fix it. They’re favorite say is “ you bought a used car so you should expect issues.” Unfortunately for them.....they don’t know how stubborn a Marine can be. This is down to principle and just good business practices at this point. Be very careful when dealing with this place.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

by Katie8Kelson on 11/19/2015

Here is my experience with Marietta Auto Sales: If I could give them zero stars I would! We drove 2 hours to purchase a 2010 Toyota Highland with 46K miles. We've had it for 5 weeks and the engine blew bc someone put stop leak in the radiator (which stopped the radiator leak for a short time). Now I have a blown engine and radiator. We bought the extended warranty through our bank but because stop leak was in the radiator they consider that the car was tampered with and they won't pay to fix it. I have negotiated them paying $3200 which leaves us paying $5600. Not only has this happened, we purchased the car and we had to go straight to the gas station because it was on empty. We realized we didn't get the key fob. The dealership had already closed so we called them Monday morning. We were told that it didn't come with one. When I mentioned that the ad said the car had keyless entry and alarm system, which can neither be worked without the key fob, the sales man said ok let me talk to my manager and call you back. Of coarse no one called back. I called again he said we will pay half for it (it cost $250) I argued and they offered to get me one. Which 5 weeks later I still haven't received. The ad also advertised that the car had power passenger seats, power hatch and memory seats which it has none of these! I'm putting this out there in hopes that this NEVER happens to anyone else!!! I talked to the floor manager today about the engine and he said "well what do you want me to do?" I said "I either want you to take the car back or help me get it fixed" he said "ok well neither of those are going to happen". Buyers BEWARE!!! Even if we had taken it to a mechanic to get it checked out they would not have found the problem because at the time the stop leak was covering it up! I'm contacted an attorney and I've contacted the local news to do a story on them. Have you had any luck getting your issue resolved?
