Cherokee County Toyota - Great Sales Experience

by 4RunnerFan on 08/21/2018

I tried several dealerships with regards to vehicle selection, availability and honest price negotiation. I had never heard about Cherokee County Toyota until a colleague mentioned that he bought his car there and would go there again.I went online and found the exact vehicle that I had been looking at with other dealerships. I inquired about the price and heard back within a few minutes. The price quoted was reasonable and fair, so I set up an appointment to go there the next day. When I arrived, I received a warm greeting and was put in touch with the salesperson. The car I inquired about was on the lot as promised. After a short test drive, I asked about the price. The pricing was the same as promised and did not contain any mystery charges. I purchased the vehicle and am very satisfied with it and with the overall sales experience. Joel, Tony A., and Mike were great to work with. I would definitely buy my next car there as well.

Wonderful!

by Frankie84 on 01/03/2017

Ronnie at Toyota Cherokee took fantastic care of us and actually made the car buying experience pleasurable! We went to 2 other larger dealerships closer to Atlanta and had a terrible experience. So glad we drove an extra couple of miles to Cherokee! We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a car!

Cherokee county Toyota

by Cheryl222 on 09/26/2016

I wanted to buy at Cherokee because my Father, Mother and Brother had all purchased there in the past and had good things to say about the experience. I have been using service department on their recommendations and love Gary Price. I had an offer on a Tacoma from another dealership and brought it to Dudley(the rep recommended by family). Dudley was very approachable and helpful in making the deal. I had not met the GM Joel but a friend had told me how great he was and said to ask for him. Joel listened patiently to my needs and explained why one request couldn't be met but offered a workable solution. I appreciate all Dudley and Joel did to help me get the truck I wanted and not break the bank!

Very Pleased

by donba127 on 07/11/2016

Cherokee County Toyota made purchasing a new vehicle fast and easy. I'm 73 years old and have purchase more than a few cars in my lifetime and have experienced some of the most dishonest and deceptive car dealers who are there to bait and switch and play every game possible to bilk you out of every cent they can get. I did a lot of shopping before meeting with Cherokee. I went to them based on a recommendation from my nephew who had dealt with them before and was very pleased. I think that they were honest, friendly, and their quoted price was the best deal and beat all of the other prices I received even for lesser equipped vehicles. My Internet Sales Representative, David Wheaton, was courteous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable of the entire buying process. He had complete knowledge of the vehicle that I was buying explaining the options and packages and spent time showing me how to set up and use some of the options. I would highly recommend David, and Cherokee County Toyota to all of my friends and family.

Returning Customer

by lindaga1 on 07/05/2016

We have been purchasing vehicles from Cherokee County Toyota for years, having just purchased our fourth vehicle. The dealership is a long way from our home and we pass many other dealerships to purchase from and have service performed at Cherokee County Toyota. The fair treatment with purchases, the friendly people and the exceptional service department are what keeps us coming back year after year. We highly recommend Cherokee County Toyota.

New 4Runner purchase

by cory175 on 07/05/2016

Today, I purchased a new 2016 Toyota 4Runner from Cherokee County Toyota. I found the staff at this dealership to work very hard to make the car buying experience stress free. Furthermore, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our CCT sales representative, Tony Ahumada, who was courteous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable of the entire car buying process. I would definitely recommend Tony, and Cherokee County Toyota to all of my friends and family.

Great Buying Experience

by Dukethenuke on 06/24/2016

My wife and I were greeted like royalty and seemed to become almost like good friends over the ensuing couple hours. It easily was the quickest and most straightforward car buying experience (22nd car) we've experienced. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and professional--with no pressure applied at any time, and none of the back and forth negotiating you expect when you buy a car.

Horrible Experience

by AmyCast on 05/07/2016

Our family visited this dealership to look at a car that was listed online. The price was listed $4000 over what was listed online. We would be able to understand however the manager did not even have the courtesy to come an apologize. They also did not offer the option of looking at other cars within our budget. We were very disappointed to have been treated the way we were. The service is only as good as the managers so I guess we shouldn't have expected much. WE DO NOT RECOMMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!

Love My New Avalon

by klaird on 03/04/2014

I purchased my 2013 Avalon Hybrid last fall. It now has 3000 miles on it. I traded a 2008 Camry Hybrid for it. got a very good trade -in value and great price for the new Avalon. I noticed a broken seat back after I had it for several months. Parts were ordered and then installed perfectly. I have been getting my Toyotas serviced there since 2008 and will continue to have my Avalon serviced there also. I couldn;t be happier with a dealership. do so

Description: I came to Cherokee County Toyota and was approached by Bob G. to try to sale me a vehicle. I test drove a 2002 Toyota Highlander. The vehicle was pulling to the right. I made that statement, and Bob told me to let him know WHATEVER was wrong with the vehicle that he would need to know since the car had not yet been through their inspection. I told him the only thing that I noticed was it pulling to the right. Bob said Whatever it is, we will fix it. Its probably just an alignment issue but whatever it is, we will fix it. I want to make this deal right, well fix it. The next morning we made a deal on the vehicle, and I waited for the vehicle to be fixed and cleaned. Three (3) hours later I drove it off the lot it still pulled to the right. I took it back immediately, and they kept it; because, I didn't want to take it home not fixed, i knew they would never fix it. Bob had forgotten to tell the service to align the car. The next Monday, Bob delivered the car to me at my work. I test drove it. It was still pulling to the right. I kept the vehicle and Bob told me to bring it back Saturday to fix it. Saturday i went back to the dealership, They aligned the car again, and it was still pulling to the right. I test drove this car 4 times, and all 4 times it did the same thing. When we got back, they advised me they would not be fixing my car. If it took new tires, they were not going to replace them. After making me wait for 45 minutes, the used car sales manager decided to talk to me. He stated they were not replacing the tires; They would lose too much money and they couldnt do that. I advised him what Bob had said to me and he said Bob didnt have the authority to promise me that. I advised this manger that wasn't my problem. I expect a man to keep his word. He asked me if I wanted to pull out of the deal and I told him yes if they didnt fix it. They replaced two (2) of my tires and it fixed the problem. But, they let me leave the lot, unhappy and with two different set of tires. I wouldn't even give Cherokee County Toyota one star...but it makes you give a least one.

Great Experience

by chunt5 on 02/15/2013

I have purchased 2 cars from this dealer. I was very pleased with both sales. Good prices and no "hidden" or dealer fees. Both times I dealt with the internet sales. Had the prices before I arrived and every thing went smooth as silk. Dave W. was very professional and great to deal with. I love my new Camry.

Very good experience.

by cameralization on 05/18/2012

I am very pleased with the overall experience. I had an internet price which was better than other dealers and then i was able to negotiate a better price when i arrived which i thought was a very decent deal. From test drive to driving out with my new Camry was less than 2 hours. I would loved to see more inventory on the sales floor. Not as many choices as seen at other Toyota dealers.

Not the Best Experience

by quantum2 on 09/06/2009

I visited this dealer because the price I got on the phone was $1100 lower than the cheapest I got from any other dealer in the Atlanta area (I simply called the numbers listed on the Web sites and asked for their lowest price on a car meeting my specifications that I had previously determined that the dealer had in inventory). When I arrived I was asked to fill out a credit application; I replied I was not planning on financing through them. I thought I was then told that it was a requirement of the Patriot Act that I had to supply my Social Security number (SSN) in order to buy a car--whether I financed there or not. Then again, perhaps I misunderstood my salesperson. I later researched it and found that there's no requirement to divulge one's SSN for such a purpose. Later we got to the point that I was with the closer--as far as I knew, the price I'd heard on the phone was still going to be honored. It was my impression that the closer told me I had to either write a check for the full purchase price of the vehicle or fill out a loan application, because otherwise they couldn't close the transaction. I did not want to do either: I wanted to leave the car with them; get a purchase order; finance it another way; and return with a check from the lender. That they would not accept, so I left. Perhaps I misunderstood what the closer was telling me. I bought elsewhere and would not consider this dealership again for a vehicle purchase.

[violative content deleted] dealer on planet

by nashmore on 08/03/2009

Cherokee and its sister dealership, Cobb County Toyota, owned by the same [violative content deleted], are probably the most [violative content deleted] dealers I have encountered in 40 years of car buying. I had a host of issues with these dealers but the best example of their behavior was when I was trading in a car as part of the Cash for Clunkers program. I told them I wanted a Highlander. They called me back and left a message saying the Highlander did not qualify for the Clunker rebate BUT they did have a Camry they would sell me. As if I shopped for a Camry by looking for mid-size SUV's. Their lie about the Highlander was particularly egregious since I was looking at the Toyota web site when they called and it specifillay said the Highlander was eligible. Six other Toyota dealers had also told me it was eligible. It was obvious that they were willing to tell any lie to make a sale. Also, these two dealers are the only ones I have ever encountered that will not do dealer transfers and will only sell you what is on the lot. Another example of their incompetency is when we told the sales rep at the sister dealership that we wanted to drive one of the Highlanders that had the separate rear glass hatch in the lift gate. The sales rep swore that Toyota did not offer this feature and that he had eleven years of sales experience with Toyotas and knew that my wife did not know what she was talking about. Boy, didn't he look dumb when she walked over to a Sport model and pushed the button that opened the separate rear window. [violative content deleted]

Treated fairly

by slumberdog1 on 07/27/2008

Bought a new corolla here. Got a good deal, about $50 over invoice buy buying at the end of the month. Salesman said that was the only reason I was getting this deal. Salesman was knowledgeable. After the sale he took the time to go over all the features of the car to make sure we knew how all the features worked. Got a fair amount for my trade to boot.

Be Careful..They Do Not Stand Behind Their Customers

by unhappytoyota on 06/10/2008

Take this for what it's worth but I would go somewhere besides Cherokee County Toyota or Cobb County Toyota(sister dealership) Buying experience was good. Like you somewhat expect, you take a back seat when you sign the papers. The Internet Manager is a [vioative content deleted] when you're trying to buy. In my case, he misrepresented an important feature during the buying process with the Bluetooth Phone System. The Internet Manager made an assumption and was totally wrong(he said the phone system could handle 1000 names when in reality it could only handle 20). I am in sales and this was a big feature for me. Once this was pointed out it was total back pedal and see you later mode. They basically said this is what you bought and we are done. The Internet Manager got nasty then when I got there gave the the fake car salesman grin. The GM there was total nasty. Basically was ready for me and said what I bought was mine and we were done. He was not the kind of guy you want to argue with either. We could talk about the $1500 repair their Service Department tried to get me to do because some computer code showed up..(drove another 20K miles and sold the car..no further problems). ...But I think you get the idea Go somewhere else!!

Sales Assembly Line

by radmad on 10/26/2007

This dealer is much more interested in selling you a car vs. customer service. Once you have purchased a car the salesmen are no longer interested in customer satisfaction. I purchased my car and never received any follow-up via email or phone. I have bought five new cars in my life time and I've always had my salesmen to follow-up to make sure everything was alright. Since purchasing my car five weeks ago, no one has follow-up. I had an issue with my car which required repair so I worked with the service department to get it corrected. The finance manager that closed our deal was very good. He very quickly put together a plan that fit into our budget.
