Look for a CPO elsewhere

If you are looking for a quality Certified Pre-Owned car, please, look anywhere but Porsche Atlanta Perimeter. After a nationwide search for CPO 911's, I found the perfect match at Porsche Atlanta Perimeter. The sales process was great and the deal was closed quickly. I flew to Atlanta and drove the car back in-state. When I went to get my state inspection performed, which is required for registration, my local Porsche dealer said there was something very wrong with this car. I was completely flabbergasted, as the car seemed fine to me, and drove exactly like the day I bought it from PAP. The technician explained that there was an uncharacteristic vibration in the car. Unfortunately, since this was my first 911 (and in fact my first Porsche) I did not notice the issue. The tech then put me into another 911 (same year & transmission) that they had on the lot. The difference was shocking. The car I was sold was very clearly not a car that should have been a CPO. It's not a car that any reputable dealership should have sold at all. To date I have owned the car for 12 weeks and it has been in my local Porsche dealership for the last 9 of those. They have not yet been able to identify the underlying issue, and I don't expect to have it back anytime soon. The general manager of PAP, Eric M, has been completely unsympathetic and refuses to accept any responsibility. The situation, in short, has been a complete nightmare. At this point, my only hope is that this review helps save someone else from the frustrations that I'm going through. If you are in the market for a quality CPO, please take my advice: avoid Jim Ellis dealerships in general, and Porsche Atlanta Perimeter in particular. In my opinion, they are abusing the Porsche CPO program and tarnishing the Porsche brand.

Worst experience of my life

Bought 2014 certified and had faulty brakes. Called 15 mins later to return as we were returning to Fl and Im disabled also to make sure they would take us to get rental car and was lied to as they stalled for over 2hrs and were closer to Fl. Was promised imeadiate repair by Florida dealer and said I should have just turned around. The sales person Duffy kept stalling. Now to bad. I hate my new car. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT TRUST. Also the repairing dealer could not understand why problem was not found in certification process and it had another open caimpaign and other fault codes.

Poor customer service

Car not registered I purchased a new car from Jim Ellis Porsche on June 7 2014 and the car has still not been registered to me. I am left driving on expired license plates. The Company has said it is because I needed to pay my personal property tax in SC where I am registering the vehicle and I did pay them. After seven weeks I was told today that it will be another four weeks til the car is registered. I am left with no choice but to drive with an expired 30 day temp tag. Its very easy for them to blame the customer but they did not live up to their responsibility as a new car dealer to register the car in a timely fashion.

Highly satisfied - Trade-in and '14 Cayenne purchase

My wife and I purchased a '14 Cayenne Platinum Edition and had the pleasure of working with Michael M. and Ryan M. The entire experience from test drives to trade-in to purchase was fantastic. Super Happy Jim Ellis Porsche Customer

Well, I first became a Jim Ellis customer in February 2012 with the purchase of my 2012 Audi A7. I traded it for a 2012 Porsche Panamera and worked with Michael M. He is, hands down, the most professional and kindest person I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He took great care of me and got me into the car I wanted. Fast forward to just last weekend, I decided I wanted a Porsche Cayenne and Michael (along with the assistance of Duffy) once again made me a completely satisfied customer. Working with these guys and Jim Ellis as a whole has set the bar for all other dealerships. Professional, pleasant, kind and they treat you as a luxury car buyer expects to be treated. I could not be happier with my purchase or with my experience. It was fantastic!

Relaxed Car Buying Experience

I was looking for a Jaguar XJL. Jim Ellis Porsche happened to have one in stock. I reached out to Steven Dooley and Michael M. and they did a fantastic job of listening to what I wanted, answering my questions, and most importantly - acting patiently and professionally. The entire experience was relaxed and I purchased the car not only feeling happy about the vehicle, but the buying experience.

Great Porsche Dealer

I purchased a 2011 Porsche Panamera 4S. I found the vehicle via autotrader.com and contacted Michael, the Internet Sales Manager via phone. Michael was very helpful in describing the vehicle accurately to me. I was very impressed with his professionalism. He volunteered to do a walkaround of the vehicle and take pictures of any imperfections in the finish since it was used. We exchanged several emails, confirming details about the car and settling on a price for the Porsche as well as trade in value for the 2011 Mercedes that I was trading in. Once a deal was reached we arranged for me to drive down to Atlanta from Indiana and mutually inspect the two vehicles. Michael had to be out of the office for training and arranged for Brian Westbrook to demo the car and walk me through the rest of the purchase process. Brian was VERY thorough in walking me through all of the features of the car and building enthusiasm for owning my first Porsche! He answered all of my questions and helped to make the purchase an enjoyable process. He also is an established automotive professional. Finalizing the paperwork was a breeze. Quick and painless! Several friends questioned the wisdom of purchasing a car from a dealership more than 400 miles away. I am very pleased with the buying experience and absolutely love my new-to-me Porsche!
