We bought a car 5 days ago. Sales man and manager were fine to deal with. Now the car is rattling. It sounds like there is grinding metal coming from under the car. Let's see what they will do about it

Don't buy a vehicle from here if you want to be treated fairly. I bought a vehicle from here, with a trade in. I have been in the automobile industry in Florida for most of my life, so I at least have some idea of what I'm dealing with and what to expect when I walk into a dealership. I paid nearly a premium for what seemed to be a quality vehicle. Here's the kicker - when I took the vehicle out on the highway after the deal was done, I went to turn on the cruise control which was clearly listed in the ad and to my surprise, NO CRUISE CONTROL! NO TILT STEERING! An options package worth about $1,000.00! Ok, fine. But when I tried to return the vehicle with ad in hand to exchange for the proper vehicle, no dice. No refund, no rebates, no unwinding the deal, no alternate vehicle, customer satisfaction or mention thereof. Basically, their attitude was "You bought it, now get out of here." When I showed up back on the lot 5 minutes after leaving, the Sales department wouldn't even speak to me - completely ignored. I had to go in to the customer service department and ask to speak to a general manager. My advise is that there are plenty of other Ford dealers out there, or dealerships in general for that matter.

I always make my auto purchases at plantation ford, I get good service from both the sales staff, and the service dept.. A very comfortable place to visit, regardless of the occasion.

Wow, how refreshing to deal with an intelligent, well spoken and patient car salesman. I went to two other dealerships and got frustrated with being hassled and not having my questions answered. I live in Miami Beach but I called every New Ford dealership South of Delray Beach until I was lucky enough to speak to Rick Olsen at Plantation Ford. I asked about the 2011 Ford Fiesta (not available yet) and he took his time to answer everything plus he told me lots of information I didn't know about the Microsoft Sync system. He promised he would teach me everything about this complicated, advanced system. He was very efficient, calling me Monday with the information about what models were due to come in (not the exact one I wanted). So, we discussed that I wanted the SES Hatchback in Lime Squeeze Green with the 301A package (Intelligent Access push button start). My husband and I drove an hour to meet Rick, he greeted us at the door and had a surprise... he pulled a few strings and ordered my dream car! It is due to arrive in two weeks, a lot faster than the 8 weeks it would have normally taken. We were happy to sign the purchase papers and leave a deposit. We didn't even have to haggle with him, he gave us an honest price with a great discount. I highly recommend this family run Plantation Ford dealership and consider Rick Olsen the best car salesman I have ever had the pleasure of buying from.

Firstly, I have to say this review is not a reflection on the NEW sales department by any means as my only experience with this company has been with the USED sales/service department. I recently purchased a truck from this company with an AS-IS contract. When I was in the process of the purchase, the salesman and his manager were seemingly very pleasant and helpful. However, the next day that I owned the tuck, it over heated. I called them to see what they could do. After I persuaded them to do "something" to help me as I just bought the truck the DAY BEFORE. I had the truck towed to them so they could inspect it. Their service department claimed it was a "bubble" in the radiator, so they flushed it out and replenished the fluid. Needless to say I was pretty grateful that thye had actually done this in good faith. However, 4 days later, the truck over heated again. I brought it to a shop near my work and was told I needed a new radiator. This is AFTER Plantation Ford's Service department claimed they fixed the truck. $500 later, I now have a new radiator, and HOPEFULLY a sound truck. When I called the Used Sales manager I dealt with to explain my disappointment, he claimed there was nothing they could do...when I said I'd file a report with the Better Business Bureau he said "I already know what they're going to ask; was it AS-IS?" To top this all off, they told me when I purchased the truck that my plates and registration would be included in the price, just to find out 30 days later when I came to pick up the plate and registration...it was another $230 out of my pocket. So, be aware, this company will sell you anything to get you out the door; but don't expect ANY service once you've left the lot!!
