Go See Walt for Your Next Car

by ceeyalater on 03/20/2017

Really enjoyed working with Walt as my salesperson during the recent purchase of my 2015 Mini Cooper Convertible. Walt and the team at Sandy Sansing Nissan worked with me to get me the car I wanted at a payment that I could afford. I was in and out fairly quickly and not left sitting forever throughout the process, waiting on so-and-so to approve, etc. which was important to me as I was on my lunch when I came in to test drive the vehicle. Looking forward to many days spent driving around Pensacola with the top down!

Crooked Sandy Sansing Nissan

by rigs3319 on 11/16/2016

I have been waiting to buy a Nissan Titan XD for 2 years. After waiting for the first year model to get the bugs out I decided to shop for Titan XD. I went to Sandy Sansing Nissan to price out a Titan XD diesel. I met with Aaron and repeatedly told him I needed Titan XD because I use it for towing only. After reviewing recent Youtube video review of the diesel I decided to change to Titan XD Gas Platinum Reserve. I told my salesman Aaron and he gave me a price for Titan XD Gas in the $59K range. I felt it was too high and shopped around 2 major cities, Dallas and Atlanta. As I suspected I could buy Titan XD Platinum Gas in both cities for around $52K out the door. So I finalized the details and was planning to go to Atlanta at Nalley Nissan to purchase a 2017 Titan XD Platinum Reserve Gas for $52K out the door price. I called Sandy Sansing Nissan to tell them I have found a dealer in Atlanta that will sell 2017 Titan XD Platinum Reserve Gas for $52K out the door and would like to work with them if they can match it. They stated it was $5,000 loss for them. So I ended the call and prepare to go to Atlanta next day to buy from Nalley Nissan. Half an hour later Sandy Sansing salesman called and said they will do the sale at $52,900 out the door for 2017 Titan XD Platinum Reserve Gas. I was pleased that I didn't have to drive to Atlanta and was willing to pay little more for a local sale. I told Aaron I would be there next day. Aaron insisted it would be best to come right now. I didn't see no problem with it so I went to Sandy Sansing to purchase the truck. They rushed the papers and wanted to sign so they can go home, everything looked fine. I paid for it and check out the truck. Everything look fine. Found out later Titan XD and regular cheaper Titan looks the same, except the towing mirror. Titan XD heavy duty tow ball for towing 5th wheel were also sitting in the seat of the new Truck. Tow ball only fits a Titan XD. What I didn't know was a new model came out which was 2017 Nissan Titan none XD Gas. It looks exactly the same inside and out except the towing mirror and a small XD label. Aaron the salesman was in a hurry to go home and didn't spend any time showing me the features of the truck. So I drove it home and parked it to check out all the features. First thing I did is to pull out the side mirror as my older Titan slides out for towing my RV. It has to slide out so you can see the side of the RV trailer and who is coming behind me. I noticed it would not slide. So I called Aaron to ask why won't my mirror slide out? He said it was regular Titan not an XD for towing. I told him again I can only use the Titan XD because it is built for towing. He has repeatedly push other models when I kept saying I use it for towing and need Titan XD. He stated this was the only models he had and I should try it out. Because he were reluctant to take it back I agreed to try it. Few days later I towed my RV and could not see the side with the side mirrors. I immediately order clip on mirrors to extend it out for towing. Few days later after they arrived I tested them and it was impossible to see well. The mirrors were small in size compared to my old Titan towing mirrors and the objects were so small I could not make out what was coming. Following Monday one week after purchase I call the manage and stated the salesman purposely sold me non-XD to get the price down. When I saw their advertized non-XD price for 2017 Titan Platinum Reserve it was exactly same as what I paid for. The Sales manager stated he would call back and see what they could do at 10am. At 5pm no one called. So I called and the sales manager had gone home. I told to another manager who stated I was sold the right model for the price and would talk to the General Manger and would call back. She did not call back. Few more request for call back never were followed up. I realized that the salespeople purposely rush through a less expensive regular Titan to make the sales. This is my 3rd purchase from Sandy Sansing Nissan. I will never buy from them again. This is terrible way to treat a senior citizen who has been loyal in the past and wanted to stay local. They are truly [non-permissible content removed]! I bought the truck to take a long cross country trip but had to cancel. Selling the truck at a lose to buy it from a reputable dealer.

Very dishonest, or illegal if I had taken pictures during negotiating.

by LHinPens3 on 10/27/2016

I negotiated the 2017 Armada Platinum parked in the show room with the 2nd row captain seat package, but they replaced the captain seats with bench seat. Good thing I checked it out before I signed the final paperwork. The manager swore that it's impossible to change the seats out. I did my research before I went to the dealership. I knew they are interchangeable. It takes approx 20 minutes to swap the seats out. If you have to buy from this place, be very careful. Back in 2004, they removed the bed-liner on the red new Nissan Titan pick up truck, so I left and bought the truck in Mobile, AL. Twelve years later, They did it again with the captain seat. I went to Mobile, AL again and the bought the 2017 Armada platinum with captain seat and illuminated kick plate for $1300 less.

Misrepresented the product

by funkhouser1 on 08/21/2015

Do not purchase from this dealership, they do not stand behind the product they sell. They misrepresented their product and its features and when I addressed these issues with the general manager (Who was extremely rude) he pretty much told me that I needed to call Nissan and complain and refused to take responsibility for selling me a vehicle that did not fully function as advertised. I purchased a 2015 Murano Platnium Edition and none of the Nissan Connect Apps work on the vehicle except one. Not once did anyone ever mention to me that this issue existed in the vehicle prior to my purchasing it. As a matter of fact the technician stated that those apps would take some time to load from my phone. After doing some additional research on line, this is a known issue with that vehicle and its been an issue since Dec 2014.

Disapointed and Trapped

by NickH33 on 08/17/2013

We went looking for one vehicle and came out with another. Worse part, had I had the knowledge I do now. I would have never made the deal. a 2013 Nissan Maxima is listed in the mid to high 30K range. Off the lot. 21k Max. I hate the car, and I want out of it. I tried emailed Sandy Sansing online sales about my unhappiness and got 3 seperate we'll get back to you shortly emails. Its been a month and no one has emailed me. The longer I'm in the car the worse it gets. Im not asking for a refund. I just want out of the car and they are the only ones (Sandy Sansing in general) that can give a decent trade in value, because its there car. No wonder this dealerhip has gotten such bad reviews. They trap you and dont care once you've signed the dotted line. As you can see by the 2 star service review too. Like I said. Disapointed and trapped.

Dishonest and then some

by medikitten06 on 03/06/2013

Sent from my iPadI had the displeasure of sitting with a used car rep at Sandy Sansing Nissan on Feb 28, 2013. The first thing he did when I showed up was try to get me to test drive 2 totally different cars from the one I emailed him about, both costing significantly more than I was able to afford. I finally talked HIM into us driving th done I came to look at. He then proceeded to try to lease me a brand new vehicle which would require me putting down significantly more money than I was able to that day. After convincing him to stick to selling used cars, he discusses with me my finances and what my needs are. I am a special situation as I have graduate school loans on my credit report which limit the number of lenders willing to consider me despite my income and profession. I stated specifically to him that I just wanted to see what my options would be if I applied. I did not want my credit report dinged too many times with inquiries. I asked him how many lenders he would need to submit applications to. He said "only three." Long story short, I get him to agree to sell me the car at a significant saving after he did everything from bring his manager in to talk to me, plead with me about needing to recoupe his advertising fees etc. All the while they are going back and forth and clearly displeased at the fact that I am a shopper looking for a good deal. The snide remarks were flying despite the fact that I was sitting in the open and could hear everything they were saying in the manager's office. Finally I got tired of feeling disrespected and ganged up on, I walked out on this great deal. The manager was in a huff and stormed off. Come to find out that in the process of exploring my options they submitted applications to 10 lenders!!! After I specifically told him no more than three. I call the manager a few weeks later to find it what happened and his response to me was that I never put that request in writing and that they do what they have to to complete a sale. He showed no remorse, compassion or kindness. I had read the horror stories about this dealership, but I have to say that nothin gprepared me for this. Steer clear of these [non-permissible content removed]. Buying a car is an enormous venture and the experience that should be handled with the utmost sensitivity. This dealership does not care about earning your business honestly or building a relationship with you, it's your money they are after.

Be Warned

by ajcinque on 11/30/2012

Unfortunately the used sales team failed on all levels during my purchase experience this summer. I guess they really "got me" because they have my money now anyway. I purchased a used 2007 pathfinder on 28JUL12. They owed me $1,000 dollars on my trade in, a check I did not receive until 3 months later on 14NOV12. The dealership claimed they didn't have the Title of my trade-in and wouldn't finalize the deal until they had it in hand. As it turns out, it was sitting in their office in a desk drawer. Additionally, the tires on my pathfinder turned out to be bad because speeds in excess of 60mph resulted in violent shaking. The assistant used manager Donny cut me a discounted price on a set of new tires a week after purchase when I brought the car in to have the tires checked out. The discounted deal magically was erased from all records and the used management team forgot about it by the time I got the $1000.00 check to be able to afford the tires. What hurts the most is my salesman Kieth remembered the deal himself and the management team still wouldn't stand by their original offer. Regretfully, my day ended in a verbal disagreement with the manager where I was educated on "how the real world" works, I was also accused of making up the discount agreement in the first place. As a side note: My experience with Stephanie and her office was pleasant and professional.I'm a young guy that learned the hard way. Trust no one and get everything in writing. Especially at Sandy Sansing Nissan. There is no honor or respect here. Cant imagine business practices at the other Sandy Sansing dealerships are any different. There is a dealership in Mobile, AL. It is only 40 minutes away. I recommend you try there if you must purchase a car from a Nissan dealership.

carrot and stick tactics

by bigmacdaddy on 03/25/2012

Given a price on the lot that was nice, sat for 1 hour in the show room and given a price $7,000 above what got us to even come in the door. Went to leave and they came back another $1,000 off, but, not near what was discussed outside. Why is it a person has to go through all the haggling to make them feel like they got a good deal. Thumbs down, bad carrot and stick act to get us in, terrible wait to appear like we got a great deal and then running after us to give another carrot to get us back.

Ill Be Back

by cheesethief on 04/26/2011

I always love a car after I buy it, but I rarely like the process of buying a car. My girlfriend told me that she had purchased a car at Sandy Sansing Nissan and did not have any problems. I was sceptical, but gave them a try. I have to say, that i had a much better experience there than I had anywhere else. I received a good price on a great Maxima and decent money on my trade in. The people seemed to know what they were talking about too. All in all, if I ever go to a dealership to buy a car again, I will go to Sandy Sansing Nissan.
