2nd time I searched out a Sonic Automotive dealer. Purchased a BMW last Year and a Cadillac recently. These dealers always offer a fair price without unnecessary add ons.

Terrible Experience

Sadly this was an awful experience. I had pre-arranged my financing with my credit union and had discussed all the arrangements with the internet sales manager prior to going to the dealership however when I arrived I was jumped on by the gaggle of salesman hanging out by the door. I was told by one of them that the internet manager would not be handling my purchase and in fact he never once even bothered to come out a greet me after we had been corresponding via email which was rude. The salesman lied and said that he was expecting me but did not know my name or even what car I had come to purchase. Then after I had explained him everything and gave him the paperwork from the credit union, out came the finance manager that said 'we will have to do a backup contract if you want to take delivery today' which was the most egregious lie. The are no backup contracts, he was trying to trick me into signing a loan through the dealerships choice of Leander and no sooner than I got up and demanded my tag back saying I was leaving they somehow miraculously accepted my credit union's financing. The finance manager had a very poor attitude during the closing and never once apologized. I asked for the manager upon leaving and as he never took it on himself to come and apologize or ensure that the problem was correctly handled. He was bland and quite frankly needs to be given some customer service training. If you go to this dealership beware, they exemplify all the old dishonest attributes that give the car sales industry such a bad reputation.

I had been looking at multiple brands of 2-3 year old lightly used vehicles. Cadillac Escalade was one of those I had on my radar. I skipped looking at another car I had wanted to see, when the random salesperson in the lot told me I couldn't park where I'd parked, so I said "no worries!" and I drove away. Next was a Cadillac dealer that had a 4+ Star Review, so I thought "why not?" I got there and was immediately struck by how huge the place was and how clean. I told the woman behind the desk of my interest in a used Escalade, and she called in Dan to assist. There happened to be one that had just been taken into inventory. It was an ESV Platinum 600 with an Onyx Package (think everything usually chrome blacked out). It was perfect. Dan told me the price, which was within the range I was hoping to purchase one (i.e., Good or Fair according to Truecar.com). Took her for a drive. Loved it. Came back. Signed all the paperwork, including financing, and off I went! Simple!! Picked it up yesterday. All nicely detailed. Couldn't have been easier. HIGHLY recommend!

My service manager was Matt Pelphrey. I've left several voice mails for Mat in hopes of getting a return phone call to schedule a service appointment. Needless to say he never returned my call. I was able to schedule an appointment through the receptionist. On the day of the appointment Mat neglected to follow up with a return call to inform me of the status of the car, whether it was ready or not. I had to inform Mat, that Cadillac promotes luxury service, however that service was not forthcoming and that I've received better service at the Honda dealership. The customer service at this location was horrible. Needless to say, I will have my vehicle service at the John Young location going forward.

Awesome experience from start to finish! Troy got things started with a friendly personal start. He coordinated a time and loaner for service. Upon arrival , he listened to my concerns and took a test drive to pinpoint the issue. After diagnostics, he advised me of what needed to be done, how long the repairs would take and expected costs. Completed on time and under budget. They didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. Top notch service and team. I drive from Tampa to orlando to come to this dealer.

I just purchased my fifth Cadillac from them in the past three years I've dealt with many Cadillac dealers but Massey's by far beats them all hands down for friendly service and helpfulness. The salesman went over everything and made sure I was comfortable with The operation of the vehicle and invited me back anytime I needed assistance with anything. It's the details like this, after the sale that will have me coming back again.
