Unprofessional

by Loganr2011 on 06/28/2016

After passing a sleek new S60 on the road, I decided to look into a new Volvo during my car search. On a national level, Volvo advertised a price and features that I couldn't pass up. Living in Melbourne, of course I contacted my local Volvo dealer for an actual quote, anticipating the price may fluctuate a little. I immediately received a response from Lauren requesting additional info to draw up a quote. After many back and forth emails coming from two different email addresses, I finally had a quote of $100 MORE per month than advertised with the same features and terms. When I asked for an explanation, the only response I received was that the advertised price doesn't include "taxes and fees" -- a whopping $100 extra a month in "taxes and fees"! When I asked Lauren to provide me with options to reduce the price (removing premier packages, features, model year, etc.), she responded by asking what monthly lease payment I could afford. I went ahead and gave her my MAX price, which was only $50 per month less than her quote, and she stopped responding to me. I reached out to Wallace Volvo in Stuart (out of curiosity at this point) and they quoted me the EXACT advertised price INCLUDING taxes and fees. Volvo of Melbourne is a rip off. Do yourself a favor and drive a little to save A LOT. I saved $3,500 with Wallace Volvo and the customer service was incredible. Oh, by the way... don't bother contacting the General Manager of Melbourne Volvo. I looked up his contact info to let him know about my experience with Lauren; it turns out they share a last name.

good deal

by martinfa on 07/10/2015

I have never even considered buying a Volvo before. I was visiting from Mississippi and passed by the dealership when our daughter took us out to eat. went back the next morning just to look. Ended up buying a 2 year old Volvo. They gave us a fair deal and we love the car. We traded in the car we had driven from Mississippi for a fair price. Nice people. No pressure or push towards upgrades. Took care of our Mississippi paperwork and drove it home. All car buying should be like this.

Best experience yet with a car dealer

by wjhjlh on 09/17/2014

It was the most enjoyable experience I have ever had with buying a car. We don't have the best credit so I don't like wasting my time or their time if the financing just won't work. So I did everything (besides signing the papers) without going to the dealership. They found me a lender and we just had to go in and sign papers and were in and out in 30 minutes. It was awesome!

Buying a Volvo for the first time

by devy222 on 04/06/2013

I was looking for a new car after having my Accord for 9 years. I went to a few dealerships after selecting four vehicles I was interested in. I had a wonderful experience with the Volvo folks. No pressure, very flexible and comfortable to work with. My salesman, Lou was very knowledgeble about the S60. My daughter and i had built the one I wanted and we priced what we were comfortable with and they were able to meet all our requests. The GM, Frank was also great and I would definitely reccomment them. I think we both felt we got a good deal and it was like working with family. I give them a 10!
