Almost got scammed!

If you service your vehicle in this dealership, please read: I took my vehicle on 1/17/22 for three things: a rattle in what I believed was a speaker and my 2020 Ford Escape Titanium Hybrid didn’t consistently turn on my Apple Carplay when connected. They found that the radio did not take an update and that it needed to be replaced ($1485.99 plus tax) and the rattle was the sunroof cross member trim was loose and that caused the rattle. The panoramic sunroof cross member trim was properly secured according to them. My bill was for a total of $389.96. Also, my washer fluid was not spraying. Turned out that the washer jets and lines were clogged. They repaired the lines. At the end of the service, my repair bill was $159.99 for the radio diagnostic and $199.99 for the diagnostic and repair of the rattle sound. I left happy because even though I couldn’t fix my radio, the other two issues were “fixed”. So, a couple of weeks ago I began hearing a rattling noise and looked up at the sunroof and saw something loose. My wipers were not working (again), something was loose in the sunroof, I had a recall in my vehicle and an oil change. My service advisor tells me that if it’s the same thing as the previous issue, I had a two-year warranty so they would take care of the situation. I was happy about that because I knew that there was something loose and it would be to take it out and that was it. After a day with my car in the dealer, I receive a call from my advisor with some bad news. He calls me and tells me that my sunroof was internally damaged, and I needed a new sunroof ($1600). I was surprised and told him just take the loose piece that was causing the rattle and I won’t use the sunroof. He tells me I cannot do that because the whole sunroof would come crashing down. I was shocked because I barely use the sunroof and I could see a simple loose piece when the sun hit the roof, so I didn’t think it was anything major. He said yes, you will need a new sunroof because we checked it and it is going to come crashing down. He also added to not open it and I was lucky that it was closed. Two days later, I get my car with the other issues fixed (my wipers worked, probably got the recall issue dealt with even though my Ford App states otherwise and my $120 oil change, my other vehicle is a Lexus and I pay less but ok). I start driving with my rattle and something in me said, take the loose piece out and you won’t have to deal with that annoying rattle. So, I stopped in shade and opened my initial part of my panoramic sunroof and found the loose piece, moved it toward the opening and took it out. I felt victorious. I then proceed to look at the piece and saw that it had $9 double sided tape and it seemed familiar. I then said I know my sunroof works so I open the panoramic sunroof and I look up and it was the sunroof cross member trim that was “properly secured” with double sided tape that had fallen. I opened the panoramic sunroof and it opened. I immediately became very disappointed at the dealership because they were trying to scam me into spending $1600 for a new sunroof. Then I started to think wow, I paid almost $400.00 for a diagnostic for my radio that wasn’t probably even checked because my Apple Carplay works (just not consistently, about 70% of the times it is connected) and they wanted me to by a new radio. My double-sided tape fix of my cross-member trim. The irony is that if they put double sided tape again or even better how about properly securing the trim so it won’t fall, then I would have been happy and given you a 5-star review instead of thinking that you are a scamming, deceitful and conniving dealership that lies about the diagnostics that you make. If I fell for both I would have lost over $3000 on repairs for my “damaged” radio and panoramic sunroof. If you service here, please read this and take your business elsewhere, that is what I will do. It’s really sad because this dealership is 5 minutes from my house.

My roommate bought a mustang and had such a great experience that I decided to get my new car there as well !great customer service ! Lydia at the front desk is amazing , Randall in finance is the bomb.com and David Koon is the best!!!

Very Professional

I purchased a new F 250 pick up and was very pleased. My salesman, Mr. Jeff Leed was very knowledgeable and experienced. Mr. Lalla in finance helped to beat the interest rate that I had gotten from my bank, so I went with Ford financing. Mr. Koons in Customer Service familiarized me with the available perks that came with my new Wayne Akers Ford purchase. I had been to another Ford dealership and had a truck in mind that the dealer did not have. I researched on the internet and found the truck I wanted at Wayne Akers. I met with Mr. Leed to see the vehicle, he appraised my 2009 F 150 and presented me with a deal that was better than the first dealer. It was found that the vehicle that I wanted to buy had a problem that was not the fault of the dealer. I didn't feel comfortable taking delivery of that vehicle so Mr. Leed located another truck, and said he would have it at the dealer in a few days. He did exactly as promised and kept me updated daily which I really appreciated. I was in my new truck and extremely happy. Driving in the truck the first couple of days I realized that I might have a tire issue. I returned to Wayne Akers and Mr. Snowden the Service Manager fixed my problem and I am now the proud owner of a beautiful F250 pick-up and I am very satisified with my Wayne Akers purchase.

Out in under 40 minutes!

I bring all my vehicles here and had to say last week was the best ever. I usually get the oil changed and tires rotated and they call it the works package I think. I brought the Expedition in and had this done and got my call like I always do but this time was so quick I had stop watching the world cup they had playing the VIP lounge to get my Expedition out the service driveway and I came back in to finish watching it. I noticed it was done in about 40 minutes. Wow great job! I have never been treated so well anywhere else.

Wonderful Experience

Dealing with Wayne Akers Ford was a pleasant experience. My salesman Adrian, was friendly, knowledgeable and honest- a former US Army drill sergeant. Adrian made sure that the sale was painless. Next, Dennis C. the finance manager made sure that all of my bases were covered, he tried to save me money on my financing. Dennis was professional, personable and upfront. One of the best finance managers I have dealt with. Lastly, Penny from aftermarket showed me the ins and outs of my sync system. Penny never pressured me to buy anything, was friendly and knowledgeable. So far, this was the best experience that I have had in the car business. I have bought many new vehicles and even worked in the business years ago. How good you ask...Good enough for me to drive from Naples over to Lake Worth. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

This is the most unethical dealership in the southeast. From the sales manager to the owners-full of lies and deception. These [non-permissible content removed] started a deal and right before delivery they concocted a story about the vehicle getting in a major accident on their lot. Then they proceeded to sell the accident vehicle to another buyer. What a lack of integrity. Such [non-permissible content removed]! Not sure if this was a flood vehicle that I was saved from buying..

F150 Transmission

The service personel do not return phone calls in a timely manner and when I went to the service manager he was very rude and obnoxious. I don't feel they treated me well at all, after I purchased my vehicle from them. I have a problem with my transmission that has been repaired once already on my 2010 F150 and the same problem persists. The factory is not backing up their product and the dealership is no help whatsoever. I am extremely disappointed at how I was treated and will never go back to them again. I would advise others to do the same.

Overjoyed!

I love my truck. Beyond excited. i think the whole process took maybe 3 hours total. Between the searching online, and taking delivery of the truck. The dealership understands how to treat their customers. They even give personal classes on how to use the vehicle. Ford wasnt my first choice, but Wayne Akers Ford will certainly be the last dealership i shop at.

$3000 extended warranty

2 weeks after it expires was told that I need a new AC compressor -- brought it in 4 times while under warranty and was told "the AC just runs hot in that model". Oh yeah, and I need all new motor mounts.
