Horrible exp ever,

If you’re looking for a dealership with integrity and fairness, please AVOID Parks Toyota of DeLand at all costs! We share our unfortunate story to reveal the true face of this dealership. We purchased a 2014 Toyota Camry XLE hybrid from Parks Toyota of DeLand on 5/28/2018 with full payment. The salesman, Mr. Derek Jenkins, showed us a clean Carfax sheet. However, we found out a major defect the next day—the front driver door was repainted with a mismatched color. We contacted the dealership immediately. The general sales manager, Mr. Chad Pickles, in an unpleasant way, said we bought the car, and we own it. He gave us two options: either to take it as is or come to exchange a different car. He said our best option is to exchange a brand new car because used cars will always have defects. Before the purchase was made, Mr. Derek Jenkins showed us a sheet that marked a few minor body defects on this car; but did not mention anything about the door. When he showed us the car, he had all four doors wide open before we approached the car. He explained that he opened all doors so we can see the insides. On Memory day, the weather was cloudy and rainy. We saw the car at around 7-8pm. The mismatched color on the door was hard to detect especially with the doors being wide open. We are physicians that are not sophisticated with motor vehicles. We gave our trust to Mr. Jenkins. However, the next day under sunlight, the mismatched color was so obvious that even Ray Charles could see. It is hard to imagine professionals at the dealership had no knowledge of it. We took this car to a body shop of Bev Toyota on 5/30/18, without saying anything, we asked the person who gave estimates what was wrong with this car, he immediately said the front driver door had been repainted, and the colors didn’t not match. There were also misalignments under the door, which indicated an accident might have occurred to this car. Also, the keyless entry on this door is not functional. This car is purchased for a beautiful young lady. She felt so disappointed when discovering the color mismatch that she does not feel comfortable driving this car as is. We searched very hard to avoid cars with accidents. We were not planning to purchase a brand new car. We also don’t feel comfortable to exchange a different car from the same dealership who presented us a vehicle with a major undisclosed defect. We tried to reach the general manager, Mr. Louis Hernandez, on 5/30/18. We made a total of 7-8 calls to the dealer and left several messages to the front desk person who refused to connect the phone to his voicemails. Nobody called us back during business hour. I had placed a call after hour to leave a message on his voicemail without being blocked by the front desk. I also sent him an email. The next morning, Mr. Hernandez called back. Surprisingly, instead of acknowledging this fact, he insisted on having sold us a car that has a clean Carfax, denied any wrongdoings from their dealership. He stated that the people at dealership are not trained with car painting. Another thing to note, on the Carfax we saw, the odometer of this car is listed as about 18,000 miles, at time of our purchase the mileage is over 23,000. We asked to speak to the owner; he claimed that he is the owner, which we don’t believe it’s true. He said there is no cooling off period. Once we drove the car out of their lot, we own the car. We told him we can’t accept the condition of this car and would place a hold on payment but remain open to discuss the solution. He threatened to prosecute us as theft. Jesus! What a dealership! What leadership at this dealership!

Worst car buying experience

If I could give a zero rating, I would. About a week ago my husband and I drove there to hopefully purchase a used Audi s3. My husband has been searching for six months and knew what a reasonable price was for the car and knew how much he should be paying for it each month. I should also mention he used to work for Ford corporate so he's aware of dealerships sales tactics in advance. He went into this telling the sales woman and two other managers that came in after that if the numbers didn't work no hard feelings. They wouldn't budge from their price but instead of saying they couldn't drop the price they managed to make matters even worse. We didn't want to pay $50-$60 more per month for the car and we made that incredibly clear. The general sales manager, Mr.Pickles, came over and asked us to increase our budget...now at this point they haven't even taken a dollar off the price of the car, we said no, we aren't increasing our budget.He procceds to fire insults thinking he can intimidateusinto buying it. First he says if we want an Audi we need to be prepared for "Big Boy Payments." He again asks us to raise our budget and we say no. He then proceeds to tell us that if we can't raise our budget then we probably cannot afford the car or the maintenance. That was the last straw and we got up and left. On the way out my husband says if you drop the price give us a call and Mr. pickles said "don't worry, we won't." This is also we asked them not to run credit until we got the numbers down and they ran it anyway....after we showed them how good the credit score is. Mr. Pickles also told us we would not find another car like this in 250 miles for this price. Well he was WRONG, two days later we bought the same car, similar mileage, for about 6k less out the door than his price and no ripoff dealer fee. This is why people hate buying cars, people like him. I encourage you to avoid Park Toyota as long as he works there. He has zero customer service skills.

Bait and switch with no follow up

I told the dealership that two things were most important to me, XM radio and Navigation. I was told they could add XM and the Scout app replaces Navigation. The add on app is clumsy and does not work well with Toyota radio buttons. Plus it requires it be plugged into the USB port with a tacky magnetic antenna on top. The scout app requires that your phone also be plugged into the USB port meaning that you can't use both features at the same time. Besides I found out after pick up that it does not work with Iphones so it is useless to me. I have contacted the dealer several time over the past month only to be totally ignored. I even went to the dealer several times. The last time I went I was standing by the reception desk when the GM walking towards me looked up, saw me and turned the other way. There may be legitimate reasons for all this but the fact that they refused to talk to me makes me thing the worse. It is obvious they wanted the sale and don't really cherish their customers after the contract is signed.

New Toyota Sienna

I went into Parks Toyota looking for my first minivan. Bruce Hrabia was super patient, knowledgabe, friendly, and personable. He didn't try to oversell me on features I didn't want either. I had a great experience and felt great going home with my new Sienna. The kids have so much more room vs the Pilot. The whole family thanks you!

Great salesman

Just purchased a 2016 highlander from Parks Toyota of Deland. Both Bruce Hrabia and Alex Darnell help me decide on the car that best fit my life style and needs. No pressure and very professional . It was very refreshing to deal with these two salesman. I felt very at ease and good about our deal.

BUYER BEWARE!

Don't buy a car from here! They are refusing to cut my check to pay off my lease that was signed to in a contract. Now more than a month later, still no check and the Leasing Finance Company has sent me letters saying payment due! Copies of the GM's email, post sale, stated you will have your check in 10/14 days..... We are 35 days and counting... I've posted his email to my Facebook, friends have forwarded and it's been sent to corporate. The only thing I have received were insulting texts from the GM and texts from my salesman saying he doesn't know why they didn't send it. Bad Business! Even IF they messed up the contract, they never made an attempt to call me to fix it. I contacted them 7 times to try and find out where the lease payoff check was at. Four of the phone calls were directly to finance to find out where my check was. No one called me back from finance ever! No one ever made any contact back with me regarding a contract issue since the purchase on 7/7 until last weekend when I texted the salesman again (4 phone calls and 3 texts later) and now I'm being treated rudely and disrespected saying come in and resign everything if I want them to payoff the lease. The GM said they screwed up my Original Contract Signed on 7/7 which reflects them cutting me a payoff lease amount and says they calculated the wrong amount. Their finance guy even showed me the paper showing $1200 mailed to the customer for lease payoff. They didn't want to be responsible for excessive wear and tear on the lease is the reason they were cutting me the check directly. Thankfully, at least there was no excessive wear and tear on the turned in lease vehicle. Now just a balance due on the lease that Parks Toyoa of Deland is responsible for!! Waiting for Parks Toyota of Deland to honor the contract that we signed on 7/7!

Terrible finacial manager

Upon careful review of the 2015 prius c my wife and I decided it was the right car for us. We went to Parks Toyota of Deland to test drive the car.Sales person Jennifer was very knowledgeable in regards to the questions we ask about the Prius. Then to this financial manager mike rea. this guy had slid a extended warranty into the deal without even telling us ,did not even tell us the cost of the warranty'Then it took ten weeks to get our money back!!This guy uses a lot of reverse psychology please be aware, he is out to get your money STAY AWAY!!! This guy is very sly!!! It you want a good deal go to Titusville

Great service

I wanted to write this review of my experience with Deland Toyota, start to finish this business went above and beyond for me and was extremely responsive via email. I worked with Tom via email for a few days and he was always extremely quick to respond to any questions I had and was always very professional. Shortly after I worked out the details with Tom via email I was introduced to my Amazing Sales lady Candice, she was sweet and nice and both her and Tom worked with my budget and they were able to help me get a little more for my trade in to help get me down to the number my family needed. When we arrived at the dealership the 2015 Toyota Sienna was waiting for us fully detailed and ready to go, Candice went on a ride with us and told us all about the features. We then came back signed some paperwork and we were on the road, every person we met or worked with was professional and really fantastic to deal with Tom and Candice are fantastic honest people who truly believe in doing what’s best for the Customer and have earned a customer for life with this experience.. To add to this during this process I was also working with 3 other dealerships trying to get the best deal most of them were pushy and borderline rude with how they handled things, I can agree I am a very aggressive negotiator being in the car business before I was not going to take anything but the best offer for everyone but other dealerships were out to make a quick buck and did not care about long term retention and that is where Parks Toyota of Deland excels. They have even followed up with me a few times via text to make sure I am completely happy with my purchase.

Great Looking 2015 Camry SE

Just took delivery of this car from Parks Toyota. The sales experience was one of ease and comfort. The staff without exception was helpful and patient with us. Their knowledge of each vehicle we test drove was thorough and the professionalism was without parallel. Parks Toyota is a great place to buy your next Toyota.

Excellent

We bought a 2011 Highlander, our salesman Eric and sales Manager Tom went above and beyond to make sure we had all the features we wanted and price that was right. They paid attention to the details, where others failed Deland Toyota excelled. This is a small dealer ship and they have the time to do the job right. We here never rushed, pushed or drug into an office and pressured. We tried negotiating over the internet with several large Orlando based dealerships and they couldn't get the details right. Thank you Deland Toyota!
