Two weeks later and no registration

by Juan Baddude on 01/04/2021

Good interaction with salesperson. Small issue on whether sales tax was included in a number we agreed on. Sales manager at least split the difference with me. But the commitment to get car registered still hasn’t happened almost two weeks after purchase. Probably driving it illegally right now.

Exceptional Car Buying Experience

by GaryTDI on 04/14/2018

I was searching on the Internet for new Chevy Corvettes since I have always dreamed of owning one. I didn’t really have an intention of buying one though. However, I came across an ad from Blasius which had a serious mark down on the MSRP of a new 2017 Stingray Z51 LT3. The price seemed too good to be true. I live in New York, and Blasius is over an hour away from me, but I decided to inquire about the car. I got a very quick response from Dan Hass, an Internet Sales Manager at Blasius. It started with emails and then texts. Dan was always super responsive no matter the communication medium. I decided to see the car that weekend and met Dan in person. He was very attentive, respectful, and knowledable. Dan showed me the car and then we took a test drive. I had noticed a blemish on each door panel, likely a manufacturing defect. Dan assured me that the door panels would be replaced, yes, the entire panel on each door if I purchased the car. I struck the deal, still amazed that there was no “catch” to the price. The transaction went as smooth as silk and I even got more than KBB value for my trade. This was like a dream come true. A couple of weeks later, my door panels came in and I took the Corvette back there. They treated me to breakfast (granted, this was part of the door panel replacement deal I struck before buying the car), and within the time frame Dan had estimated for me, I had my Corvette back with two perfectly unblemished door panels. Blasius honoring this commitment earns a great deal of trust from me and I highly recommend them even if you have to driver over an hour to get there. Dan Hass was fantastic to deal with and he kept in touch after the transaction to make sure everything was going well with the new Corvette. Thank you Dan, Vinny (the finance manager), and the entire Blasius team, for making a long time dream of mine come true.

Wasted time and predatory sales

by japrisi on 06/02/2017

Unfortunately I was lied to, and my time was wasted. I recently lost my car when I was rear-ended, a friend recommended Blasius Chevrolet for a used car. I gave Howard my price range, and he showed me several cars in which I could not fit. He then showed me a car that was just out of my price range. I told him I could not afford that price, but if they could work with me to bring it to my range, then I would look at it. He agreed. While that's nothing formal, I do expect some leeway. I test drove the vehicle twice over two days (making sure Howard was aware it was out of my price range). I needed the price to drop about $1,900 (about 10% of the car's price). They came down $400. I told them it was a cash deal with no trade in, but the manager comes out and tells me no. When you knew my price range, why would you first show me cars in which I could not fit, then show me a car that's out of my price range, and THEN refuse to budge on the price? If he said "No budging" right away, I would not have wasted two days looking at this car. What's worse is the manager came out and said "I know you need a car". So he knew I am desperate for a vehicle, and lured me in to a higher priced vehicle and hoped to get more money. That's despicable. Be very careful when you go here, especially with what you say to your salesman. Frankly, this type of predatory sales should be criminal.

Possibly worst customer service in the business

by SaltLife on 01/27/2017

I was an out of state purchase. All terms of the deal were agreed upon and the time and date of delivery was established days before I made the trip to pick it up. I arrive at the agreed upon time and everything went downhill from there. In hindsight, I should have walked away the moment I entered the dealership! After a 4 hour trip there and another waiting for me on the way home, they told me that the car was "still being cleaned and prepped"....they had 3 days to accomplish this task and apparently waited until I walked through the door to begin it! After going to lunch and doing some idle shopping to kill the 3 1/2 hours they had me waiting, the car was "done". Not sure what took 3 1/2 hours because the car was in no way, what one would call "delivery shape". After sitting down to go over the paperwork, some of the terms of the deal were "missing" (Red flag #2) and we had to go over everything to ensure nothing else was omitted. Now I know buying a car is never an easy process but this was excessive to a point way beyond frustration. I get the car home and 2 days later start having issues. I call the dealership to see how to address them and get connected to the sales manager Nick. This guy is a [non-permissible content removed] from the second he gets on the phone. I begin to explain the issues and he cuts me off mid-sentence and says “well if you’re having a problem just bring it in and we’ll see if there is something we can do”. I respond in kind and say “well if you had let me finish, you would know that I was an out of state purchase and looking to see how to address the issues without wasting another full day of my time.” Not missing a beat, he responded in a sarcastic and completely unprofessional tone and says “well if you’re not willing to come in then I don’t see how this is our problem”. I would love to know who put this [non-permissible content removed] in charge of customer satisfaction….I’m sure the owners of the dealership would be pleased. I could go on and on with what I have had to do to rectify all of the problems stemming from the incompetence I have encountered at Blasius but I feel this is warning enough to any perspective consumers. I sincerely hope anyone who still buys from them has a far experience than I.

Out of State Purchase - Not Recommended

by Humble_Dude on 08/10/2016

I recently bought a 2013 Lexus ES300h from Blasius Chevrolet & Cadillac. The dealership had taken the car in on a trade. I live in Western NY, six hours away from the dealership. I agreed to purchase the vehicle over the phone and took a one-way flight out to Connecticut to close the deal and drive the car back home. I had expressed my desire early on to be assured that the car was ready and in good condition so that I would be faced with the possibility of paying out travel costs and then not being able to leave with the car. The sales lady told me numerous times on the phone that the car was put through both their mechanical and doll-up shops and that it was in immaculate condition. I agreed to pay the dealer’s price for the vehicle, and they agreed to waive the “out of state” registration fee setup of $395.00. While the price of the car was competitive, the vehicle lacked a few key features found on most other Lexus ES300h models on the market. With that being said, the purchase price of the vehicle represented fair market value but I would not characterize the offered price as an exceptional deal. Upon arrival, the sales lady did a walk around the car with me. Once again she raved about the pristine condition of the car. I did not notice any major issues with the exterior of the car and the sales lady did not point out any known flaws as well. There was a conscious effort on her part to get me on the road as quickly as possible given the long drive I had ahead of me. I went inside and signed the necessary paperwork with the Business Manager, Gary. Gary was both direct and harsh with his approach to finish the necessary paperwork; making no attempt to smile during the process. I was not comfortable at all with Gary’s mannerisms and he rushed me through things. Each time I asked a question, I felt belittled and was made to feel stupid for asking the question. At one point during our time together, Gary told me that if I had any problems with the car that I would be better served to use the remainder of the manufacturer’s warranty than to use the dealership to honor their 60 day state mandated warranty. He went on to state that Connecticut’s laws were nothing like the NY State lemon laws and that if I reported any problems they would have to be repetitive or major failures for them to honor the required warranty. With the paper work completed, I was turned back over to the sales lady and she and I walked back out to the car. The sales lady reached into the car to remove the paper floor mats in the front of the car as a courtesy. When she pulled the driver’s side paper floor mat out it became apparent that the custom front driver’s side Lexus floor mat was missing from the vehicle. When I asked where it was and what could be done, I was told I could do a search on Ebay to look for a deal. At this point, I was lost for words and elected not to argue about it, much to my chagrin. I drove home that evening non-stop to my driveway in Rochester, NY. The next morning I went out to my driveway and noticed that the lower level of the passenger side rear quarter panel had a dig in the body about two inches in length near where the upper and lower panels meet. At the dealership, the car had been parked at the end of a row where there was heavy parking lot traffic. In between the time I signed the purchase documents and the time I went back out to the car, someone or something had passed by the car and left an indelible mark on the rear fender. This was most likely a red cart or dolly of some sort based on the nature of the damage. An independent assessment from Spencer Collision in Rochester NY confirmed that the damage was consistent with my prior statement. I notified the dealership that same morning to see what could be done rectify this issue. I sent photos and a summary of the timing of events. After two plus weeks of phone calls, voice mails and messages left with the receptionist I did not receive a return call. Meanwhile, I received no less than four automated emails from various parties from the dealership; including one of the owners, named Fritz, stating that if I was at all dissatisfied with any part of my experience with the dealership to call him personally. I wanted to voice my displeasure with the treatment I had received and with the condition of the vehicle. I called Fritz numerous times to no avail. Finally, I got a return call from a John Kelly 16 days after the sale. He informed me that he was representing Fritz. Mr. Kelly told me that they would not do anything for me to correct this issue and that he thought I had already been informed of the fact. I let him know that I hadn’t heard anything from anyone up to that point in time. I was given no explanation, no apology, not even a discussion pertaining to why the dealership refused to assist with the issue. When I asked if it would be possible to touch base with their doll up guys to see if the missing floor mat had been misplaced at the shop, he said he would get back to me with an update on both subjects. It has already been several days since my last communication with him and I have not heard back nor do I expect to hear back given the tone John expressed during my discussion with him. I feel that the dealership, at a minimum, knew that the floor mat was missing and tried to cover it up by using the paper floor mats. The way that the dealership handled the situation was both inappropriate and unprofessional. Now I am faced with a $690.00 for a body shop repair bill and another $150.00 for the custom floor mats since they can only be purchased in sets of four. This is for a car that I paid $23,000.00 for. Other out of state dealers have treated me far better in the past and I would highly recommend shopping around before purchasing a car from Blasius Chevrolet & Cadillac. Based on my assessment of this purchasing experience, the dealer only cares about the sale, especially when you are from out of state. The sales lady did text me back yesterday and told me that management said that I got a good deal on the car and that I should be grateful. When I sent a return text back to get an understanding of when management would be getting back to me, I did not receive a response. The lack of communication with the dealership is the most frustrating part of the whole deal. I leave it up to the reader of this posting to make your own assessment based on the information that I have provided. Thank you for reading and I wish you good luck with your car buying experience.

WARNING, both you and your toddler will feel at home here! :-)

by Bugjunior_2003 on 10/28/2015

Im just so impressed with how nice and simple they made the experience. Not only was I happy, my toddler left with a balloon, candy, and giggles. Jason in Sales showed me my ideal suv, no pressure, great manners, and answered all my questions honestly. After agreeing the price was great I worked with Jason the finance manager and he was wonderful! He did everything he could to get my payments where I needed and made things simple for me. The best thing is feeling like you can trust and rely on people like this and come back for More.

Bravo! Applause!! Encore!!! Juan Rodriguez, Fritz Blasius of Loehmann Blasius Chevrolet Cadillac, Waterbury CT. deserve a standing ovation. During the time I waited to complete extra detailing and preparation to complete the sale for a used car everyone at Blasius greeted me, offered help, asked if I needed anything and made me feel genuinely care for and welcome. It was a great deal Wow!!! I am recommending my friends go to Loehmann Blasiuschevycadillac of Waterbury CT, when they have the need for a new or used car. I had gone to several other dealershios closer to home but did not get the attention and care I received at Loehmann.

Ask for Carman Dragone. Great buying experience!

by mark419 on 02/06/2015

I had an awesome experience buying my new Chevy Traverse today. If you are looking for a Chevy or Cadillac you have to ask for Carman Dragone. It was the best buying experience I have ever had and I've purchased 10 other cars in my lifetime. Carman was very helpful and knowledgeable - just a pleasure. The car-buying process is normally exhausting, but he made it painless. He was great going over every detail with my wife and I and he was even great with our 5yr old son. Best selection, best pricing, and best sales person. Thanks!

by chevygirl23 on 11/03/2014

I must say, I have purchased 4 vehicles from Blasius and the experience is extraordinary. No pressure, no haggling, no hassle. The most recent car being my 2011 Equinox, bought it in January and am loving it. Thanks to Vinnie Constantino who has been selling me my cars for about 9 years, I feel comfortable and safe. I have purchased cars from him for both of my kids as well. Even bought a pickup truck for my husband. Thanks to the great service I will be back again for sure ! Thanks Vin !

Great buying experience!

by Daniellelc93 on 06/06/2014

Last week I had my first ever car buying experience at Blasius Chevrolet and was pleasantly surprised. I had seen a listing for one of their pre-owned vehicles online and stopped by the dealership since I was in the area. The dealership was closed at the time, but Paul who was there on his day off, grabbed the keys to let me take a look at the car anyway. He recommended we come back the following day and talk to Greg B. Greg was very accommodating and kept consistent contact throughout the sale. He provided outstanding customer service and created a no pressure buying experience. The day I picked up the car I noticed that one of the scratches had not been touched up as was previously agreed upon. Greg set up for the car to be picked up and delivered back to my home later that same week and provided me with a car to use while mine was being serviced. Overall I would recommend both Greg and the dealership.

Great Service!

by miech1601 on 01/22/2014

I was putting off looking for a new car because I didn't want to deal with annoying sales people and was worried I was going to get pressured into a car that I wasn't 100% set on. One Saturday I finally decided to go look at cars and ended up finding one that was perfect for me and by Wednesday I was driving it off the lot. This was my first time buying a car and everyone was very helpful every step of the way from test driving cars to signing paper work even helping me set up my on star the day I came to pick up the car. I didn't feel pressured any step of the way. I was very satisfied with the whole experience. Even after I had my car for a couple weeks I had an issue with my door closing due to the cold weather. I brought my car in and the issue was fixed the next day. I highly recommend Blasius Chevrolet to anyone looking into purchasing a new car.

Sales Rating Review

by newchevyowner on 02/12/2013

Best experience I ever had. The sales person I delt with was excellent; I found Melody A. to be very friendly; knowledgeable; courteous;very helpful and thorough. She was not "pushy" at all, which is what I have experienced in past purchases with other dealerships. I was amazed at how quickly the paperwork was completed and my car was available for pick up in just a matter of a few days. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend Loehmann Blasius to everyone I know. Melody has kept in touch with us and is ready to assist us should I require further assistance. It was a pleasure doing business with Loehmann's and I will definitely seek them out for future automobile purchases.

Smoooooth Transaction!

by ct_alexb on 12/31/2012

I've been shopping for a used car for about 2 months, checking all the options on the market in CT, NY and NJ. And finally I found the right one for me! I drove from Stamford to Waterbury to get a car from Loehmann Blasius Chevrolet Cadillac, and I have to say it was a smooth transaction. They helped me to return a rental car, and my car and paperwork were ready in a blink of an eye. Oh, and I also got a full tank of gas. My special thanks goes to Danielle G., who is super friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I dealt with other dealers in the past, but this is entirely different level (in a good way). I could not be happier and would recommend Loehmann Blasius Chevrolet Cadillac to everyone!
