Quality customer service

Very friendly staff that made the buying process very easy. I felt comfortable and they seem to run a very legitimate business. Made the experience of buying a new car largely stress free.

This is how buying a car should be!

In 2013 I leased my Kia Optima and Ernesto made sure the experience was painless. His team listened, they took my trade in, which was less than perfect, and they got me into a new Kia Optima. Over the next three years the Service department was outstanding, always friendly, clean, precise and on time. I never had an odd charge or service fee. The car was delivered back to me as clean and sometimes cleaner. As I came upon the end of my lease Ernesto and I sat down. He made it very easy to move into a New Stinger. Now this car is Beautiful but the experience was even more splendid. Again, he and Steven and the entire team made buying a car, well, exactly what the buying experience should be! Barry New Car Review

I called Kia of Stamford yesterday to just get a price quote on a lease and not only did I get the best price, but Andrew in sales and Ian in Finance were so easy to deal with and within a couple of hours everything was taken care of. Great to deal with. Highly Recommend!!

Disappointed

O previously owned a 2015 KIA Sorento and was turning it in for a 2017 KIA Sorento, there was no problem with Kyle my salesperson. He was assisted by Ernesto the credit manager. I was told & my son in law is witness to the transaction that they would cover the over milage on the 2015 Eventually i was charged with the milage for about $1,300. Ernesto would not take my calls and has refused to acknowledge my problem. I would not do business with Stamford Kia for sales ore service.

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware. I purchased a used 2005 Envoy in August at Kia of Stamford. I paid $4000 in cash. I was told that I did not need to sign any paper work. Recently, I've decided to purchase another used car at a different dealership. I thought I could trade in the Envoy for another used car. However, to my surprise, I was informed that the car I had purchased nine months earlier at Kia of Stamford was deemed a total loss by Car Fax. The new dealership would not even accept the Envoy as a trade in. At no point did the Kia of Stamford car sales man disclose to me that this car had been in an accident or that it had once been declared a total loss. So if you are buying a used car at Kia of Stamford think twice!!!

Worst dealership

Where should I begin? I received an offer to trade in my car for a new Kia. I was extremely excited at the thought of getting a new vehicle. I went down to the dealership and leased a 2016 Kia Sorento. I love the car and how it drives I give the company, not the dealership that but that is about it. The communication is very poor between the salesman and the general manager. I was told that all I needed was to put down $500.00 and nothing more. Once I was ready to sign my lease, the general manager says ok you owe $.... amount. He clearly did not know the deal that was offered by the salesman. The dealership is only there to make money and in any way they could. I was only given 10,000 miles a year for three years, which is their way of making money by charging me over the miles fees once I return the car. Any normal dealership gives at least 12,000 a year. Anyways, I was told that my vehicle was the exact model in the showroom that I was driving off with, yet the front left side of my vehicle had paint chipped off which I noticed right away. I made them aware of the issue and they told me to come back to the dealership, ( which puts on more mileage, seeing I live in Ansonia) and they would fix it. So I did just that. I brought the car back and they had someone paint over the spots that were chipped and missing paint. I drove home somewhat satisfied. Only having the car for less than a year, the paint is chipped again and now in more spots than before. The next issue I have is my registration. I moved to a new home in Aug 2015 and leased the Kia in Oct 2015., however my old car was registered in my old city and they just transferred it on to the new car even then though I provided the dealership with my current license showing the new address. I have the lease document stating my current address but not on the registration paper. The next issue is the biggest issue of all. I was never told that I was going to be charged a "PROPERTY TAX" fee for leasing the car. I DO NOT OWN THE CAR, KIA MOTORS OWNS IT, yet I have a $1025.00 charge that was tacked on to my monthly car payment because Kia Motors sent a letter stating it was paid by them and now my responsibility. I have never heard of the person who leases a car getting stuck with the bill when they do not fully own it. When it comes to trading in my car or purchasing it out next year, I can promise you KIA OF STAMFORD will NOT GET MY BUSINESS. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone unless you plan on getting ripped off one way or another. On top of that, I have other people that I know that have had horrible experiences with this dealership. JUST READ SOME OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS FOR YOURSELF.

I Love This Dealership!

I dread car shopping because it is so time consuming and stressful with all the wheeling and dealing you need to do. However, I would HIGHLY recommend KIA of Stamford and our salesperson ERNESTO!!! He made our car shopping experience with KIA actually enjoyable yet he was professional. We will be back at trade-in time!

I walked into the showroom and was greeted by Ibrahim. I old him what I was looking for in a new Kia Optima EX.He showed me one with the options I wanted and the color I was look for. Ernesto was there to help with the price of the vehicle. Frank did all the paperwork needed for me to drive out with my new Optima EX. Very happy with Kia of Stamford.

I am a woman purchasing a car alone. Mario, Ermesto and the staff treated me with respect and dignity. Not like a less informed member of the human race. All my questions were answered. I am 5'2" and always have to raise the seat when I drive a different car. Mario anticipated this and had raised the driver's seat before I got in the car for my test drive. From test drive, to finalizing the deal the next day and picking up my new car from dealer stock on the third day was a pleasant experience. I felt they were being upfront and honest as was I. I feel I got a very good deal without having to haggle.

I was interested in 2012 optima used car and there is a sales person Surgion scheduled appointment and when I went there car is not available and it has been told that he will visit my place to show vehicle, But he didn't turned up and infact after follow up he put me on hold for long time and when returned said the car is not available again, This is the most rude, pathetic experience I ever had and above all there is no customer/professional ethics courtesy, I don't recommend.

1.5 mo to get deposit back on vehicle NOT purchased......

Had initially contacted this dealership to purchase a used vehicle in their inventory. As a potential out of state buyer I negotiated a price with a Sales Manager and made a $1,000.00 deposit towards the purchase of the vehicle, with the balance to be paid upon delivery. The deposit was made the second week of July, however the deal ultimately did not work out and the vehicle was never purchased. Fast forward to the end of August, and when reconciling bank balances, I realized the deposit was never returned. I immediately call the dealership and ask to speak to someone in finance, and am connected with a Mr. Jay W. I inform him of what had happened and that my deposit was never refunded, and he informed me that he would forward my request to the business office and they would handle my refund (this was on a Thursday). Assuming that everything was fine it wasn't until I saw no refund that I reached back out to him the middle of the following week and was informed that they would more than likely have to cut me a check (I had made the deposit with a temporary card issued by my bank, and that card was no longer valid as my permanent card had been since been sent and received) due to the fact that I no longer had the card that was originally used and they do not do refunds to a different card. He informed me to follow up the following day which I did and it was at that time that I spoke with Ernesto D (whom informed me that he was only a Sales Associate however was in actuality a Sales Manager-this was confirmed by their website in addition to by the receptionist that answers the dealership's main line) whom informed me that he was very "diligent and efficient" and would follow up with me in 30 min. 2+ hours came and went and I reached back out to him and he told me that he had good news and that I could file a claim with my bank for an improper charge and once I provided them documentation of this they would then refund my deposit to any card of my choosing. I informed him that was unacceptable, as when I filed a claim with my bank they would go ahead and provide a refund themselves, and told him that I would be filing a complaint to BBB. He acted as though he didn't care and was quite indignant and dismissive. I immediately went to a local branch of my bank, and told my banker what had transpired. They were appalled and offered to call the dealership on my behalf in front of me. She got Mr. Jay W on the phone and informed him that both my temporary and permanent cards shared the same number with the only difference being the expiration date and he cut her off saying ".....we do not care and that is our policy and we are not issuing a refund to his card." After going back and forth he explained that they did not want to return to a different card due to possible fraud (how is there possible fraud when the dealership already has the money and is refusing to refund it). After my banker threatens to escalate things to the authorities, he finally agrees to a refund, and gets on the phone with me and apologizes. These people are a JOKE. My advice to you and anyone considering the purchase of a vehicle from this dealership is to take your business and money elsewhere.

My Kia Sorento SXL

Kia of Stamford is Amazing!! I was in and out with my new Kia Sorento within 4 hrs. I have gone to 4 other dealers before Stamford and I am soooo glad I waited and went to them. They are the best dealership I know, Tommy, Ernesto and Jay really know how to treat their customers and give them the best deal possible. It was the smoothest transaction I have ever had. I came from LI to them and it was worth every mile of the trip!! I soo recommend this dealership these guys don't lie to you they are straight from the first phone call.. and my car is everything I wanted and more!! great job guys I will def be back for my next car although it might be a while because I love the car you gave me, My Sorento SXL that other dealers told me it was" too much car for me".. What kind of crap it that!! you guys are the best!!

Honest, No Pressure, Sales Team--Best Price Around. NO GIMMICKS!

Jon (Sales Mgr) & Ernesto (Salesman) work to get you every rebate/incentive possible. Negotiation is transparent. There are no games. I knew what the dealer paid for the car, what the hold back was, & what the dealer was making on the transaction (Thanks Jon). Not only did I get the best deal out there (they beat EVERY online quote), they threw in extras at no cost. Ernesto is fabulous...knowledgeable, personable, and no pressure. Jim Gray (Financing) is also great. NOT ONCE DID I FEEL PRESSURED to finance with Kia or buy additional warranties. I LOVE MY FORTE. What a pleasant experience.
