Customer Reviews of Danbury Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram
They refused to sell me a car at the advertised price!!!
by 10/09/2021
onI tried to buy a car yesterday from Danbury Dodge. HUGE mistake! My experience there started with trying 5 separate times to call the dealership, and getting hung up on or told the car wasn't in that store. We finally got someone who said the car was available and we could come by at anytime before 8 to see it. I got my family halfway there before I was told the car was not available. So I turned around. When almost home I got another call asking if I was still coming in! I was told the car was available after all. I asked for the salesman's name so I could deal with him. The next day I made an appointment to go see the car, called multiple times to verify I was coming, and 5 minutes after getting to the dealership the salesman's I was trying to give the sale to pawned me off on someone else. Whatever. I had the next guy give me a test drive, liked the car, and then found out it had been in an accident. Knowing this was going to hurt my insurance, I asked if they would be willing to come down any on a car that was so badly damaged I couldn't drive it home that day. They said there was no way they could reduce the price. They took my deposit no problem, but when I showed up with a pre-approved loan from Capitol One the told me the didn't use Capitol One. Then we noticed they dropped the price on the car we were trying to buy by $3000 on their website. When we asked why the sales manager stormed away saying: "bye, thanks for coming in!" And that was it! Nothing about a refund of the $500 I had already paid. No "sorry we can't make a deal." He just walked away in some obvious sleazy car salesman power move. This was the last straw in a series of pure disrespect shown to us as buyers. When I chased after him to ask about my deposit they said I wouldn't get my $500 back until Monday! We showed up to this place with a check for $16,000 expecting to drive home in the car that night! I have never felt more disrespected and unvalued as a customer. Don't shop at Danbury Dodge!!! Not that it makes a ton of difference, I have NEVER worked so hard to give someone my hard earned money only to be told they didn't want it. Clearly they are not in the business of selling cars. They are in the business of ripping people off.

BUYER BEWARE!
by 06/20/2020
onDo Not Buy From This Dealership!! Danbury Auto has no respect for customers, and their sales and service dept are totally incompetent! Tomorrow marks 1 year since we purchased a used van that was Never serviced(was lied to about it) just to rush a sale/trade-in. Two weeks later, thousands of dollars of work needed, in and out of service for months and months and still remains in their service dept today, unusable and worthless to our business. NO comparable loaner was offered, no replacement, no refund, and no apologies... they are [non-permissible content removed] and they do not care about their customers after the sale! Buyer Beware!

Oil change for Jeep Renagade
by 03/22/2016
onThe oil change was done quickly for them, only 1 hour compared to the usual 90 -120 minutes. Still too long for a simple oil change. They do not do tire rotation as part of the service, it has to be requested. People are nice, waiting area has wifi. The reason for the low score is the length of time it takes to get an appointment, usually 10 days or more, no appointments after 2:30pm so the only option is a Saturday. the length of time it takes for a simple oil change and that no niceties come with the prepaid extended service plan, tire rotation, car wash or even an air freshener. They could do much better in that area.

Happy Jeep owners
by 05/05/2015
onMy husband and I had a great experience at Danbury Jeep. From our salesman, Joe to the finance rep, everyone was great. From the beginning, the whole team gave us a strong sense of genuine respect for the customer. Keep up the good work!

Prompt Response
by 10/28/2014
onI needed to replace my car that had been totaled quickly thus test drove 3 models in the area I live. I narrowed down my choice to the Jeep Cherokee and knew the price I wanted. Alex responded quickly, worked with me and I drove away with my new car the next day.

Horrible business
by 12/02/2013
onWe recently purchased a used Jeep from this dealership and found that after one week, one of the tires kept losing pressure. Note that the low pressure tire light WAS on when I test drove it, but they assured me it would be fixed before we purchased it. One week later, the tire's pressure was down to 15 psi. We put air in and a few days later.. back down again. Obviously there was something wrong with the tire at the time of purchase. We went back to get a new tire put on and they would only patch it. We didn't feel comfortable with just a patch, we wanted a new tire. The manager ARGUED with us, telling us it wasn't about the money for a new tire, he just felt a patch was sufficient. We were sold a car with a nail in it... as customers we wanted a new tire put on the car, is that too much to ask?!? He told us that WE were being rude. Any good business would see that their customers were upset and the solution would be to make them happy with a new tire. After about 30 minutes, he finally said "Oh, just give them a tire". He is a horrible manager and business man and does not know good customer service. I would not recommend this dealership.

excellent experience buying a Dodge here
by 07/18/2013
onEveryone at the dealer that we worked with gave my son and I superior service during our purchase of his first new car, with friendly and respectful service and great knowledge and information on the vehicles. JoAnn was our salesperson [recommended to us by another customer so we requested her] and she gave us exceptional service, especially informing my son and I of all of our options, making his first car purchase a very pleasurable and exciting experience, and getting my son into a better car than he could have dreamed of for our budget, making him a very happy first time car buyer. I will be recommending JoAnn and this dealership to all of my friends and colleagues.

Great sales experience!

onFantastic sales experience! I recently purchased a Dodge Durnago Citadel that was not part of Danbury's inventory. The sales rep found the exact car I was looking for and made sure the car was there and ready for the date I needed it!

Unbelievable in todays environment
by 02/18/2013
onI came in to the dealership after friends purchased a used jeep from them and raved about the experience- I almost bought another vehicle elkswhere but did not like that dealerships dealings-it,s truly difficult to find honesty and integrity today. I met Tony M. as recommended to me-he took lots of time to show me what used cars were available-I chose a 2010 jeep and negotiated a fair deal for my trade and purchase-with the help of JB-the sales mgr-They took my PERSONAL CHECK and arranged a temp tag to drive it home-Wasa not happy with the lack of power as it was a six cylinder and needed other amenities so I had buyers remorse-brought it back -NO PROBLEM-they were willing to refund my purchase costs-thought that was really unbelievable-had to find another jeep used-theu had another jeep 2019 -for a bit more money as it had the hemi engine and was a limited-did the swap paid a few dollars more but again drove the car home-STILL owing 3800 which I will bring in in good faith-Now who trusts anyone like this?-Hats off to Tony and JB and the rest-carlos etc=enjoying the hemi!!!

Wonderful experience!

onMy husband and I baught my new Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited at the Danbury Chrysler Dodge Motors dealer in Danbury CT. The sales departement is courteous, efficient and not pushy. They are professionels and helped me find my dream car at the right price. They respected the quote they gave us online. Fred was our sales man but everyone there took interest to meet our needs. We contacted several dealers in our area and Danbury Chrysler Dodge met all our expectations and beyond. I drove the first 1000 miles with my new Jeep hair in the wind and I am very happy:) IMPORTANT UPDATE: My apology: On 09/03/10 I gave my car buying experience review to the wrong dealership (Jeep Pamby motors in Ridgefield). We went to a few dealers in our area and ironically were not well served at Pamby's. Actually, Pamby motors gave us the wrong information about hard top/soft top Jeep Wrangler options and they never call us back either.
