My recent purchase of a new 2018 Rav 4 at ToC was flawless. Ryan was my sales associate throughout the process. He was what I would consider an ideal salesman. He was patient and never pushy, allowing myself and then my wife and I to test drive the Rav 4 three times over a period of two weeks. He introduced us to Colton B, a service advisor and Bill C in the parts dept. who combined spent 2 hours answering my technical questions about the AWD system and the fact that I would not need snow tires. After negotiating what I felt was a fair price I was introduced to the general manager, Chris A. I had been preapproved for financing from an outside lender and he asked me if he could be given the chance to meet or beat my rate. We have great credit and I was surprised that he was able to match my rate. I took the financing through ToC saving the inconvenience of an outside lender. After the purchase Ryan spent at least an hour going over the systems and programing of the radio and Bluetooth. This is our second Toyota purchase from ToC. Using our past experience as a guide we will continue to use their service dept. to maintain our vehicles. My wife has never paid for an oil change on her 2004 Camry (a benny they no longer provide) with 196,000 miles on the car. We did have a few bumps with the service dept., but they made good both times. I hope this review helps others to find their prefect car, truck, or SUV.

I was seeking a specific car for a very long while, I was so set on this one car I was willing to drive to Florida (I live in NY). When I called and spoke with a salesman at Colchester Toyota he confirmed they had the vehicle I was looking for. Bob Stillman (my salesman) knew I was serious about my inquiry and knew I didn't live in the same state. With that said, he gave me options and made it happen, he didn't push me or make any unnecessary offers and gave me a great deal on a rare car. I am very familiar with Toyota and I had purchased two other vehicles made by Toyota in the past but this was by far the easiest , smoothest and best experience I have had purchasing a car. Thank you Bob for making it happen and giving me such a comfortable experience!!!!

I had an ok experience in buying a car at this dealership, but the post purchase experience was beyond unacceptable. I was told they would handle everything from getting my registration for me to fixing the broken windshield on the vehicle i was purchasing. I did not receive any communication regarding these two things after purchase and had to chase this dealership down for four weeks. I still do not have my registration, 4 weeks after purchase, and have now had to do it on my own and pay twice for a duplicate registration. They were not proactive at all and the customer experience overall was unacceptable for a dealership. buying car should be exciting and honestly, i wish i could return my car back.

After an exhausting search among dealers for a used car meeting my search criteria, I ended up at Toyota of Colchester. Salesman Byron was dispatched on the spot, by the Mgr, to respond to my walk-in inquiry. He executed the showing, test drive, and purchase process with the deft and politeness of a model salesperson. The waiting process of closing the deal took longer than it should have, for reasons I can only opinionate about, but Byron jumped in several times, while multi-tasking, to push it along. I've bought many vehicles over the years, both new and used, but this was the first time buying used from a large dealer, so I was apprehensive. Overall, very pleased with how I was treated for such a low-yield sale, and how well other staff contributed in genuine team fashion.

My family was in the market for a pre-owned vehicle for my son. We were focused on a budget and wanted to obtain the best value for the money. As consumers we often measure value by the cost of a product or service. We shopped many locations to find a SUV that would fall under the "budget". Working with Josh and Chris at Toyota of Colchester was a refreshing buying experience. Our first visit was December 31, 2013. We looked at a few different options and found one that would work, however, it was well above the cost we had in mind. Josh followed up with me on a regular basis. During the six weeks we shopped when we could and found that many dealerships didn't offer the same level of respect, integrity and consideration as this team. Ironically we worked together on the initial vehicle we saw in December and through mutual concession worked to achieve a cost that would work for both buyer and seller. The sales process and the closing was great. To my families surprise we got a great deal and an outstanding value. The partnership between the team at Toyota of Colchester and our family led to a successful transaction that will ultimately open the door to the future. Fantastic experience, Chris C. answered all of my questions was patient and went beyond the extra mile to make me feel comfortable with my purchase. The Finance dept and Gm worked hard to make the numbers fit for me. This is my first Toyata, but after this visit I know that it will not be my last. Overall environment was totally customer driven and the way the experience should be done.

Last May, I ordered a vehicle from the factory. All the other dealers i visited told me it was impossible to get one in the config I wanted, but Bob S. told me Colchester Toyota could get the job done. It took a while but I am driving the exact car I ordered from Toyota. I couldn't be happier. Go see them. They're great.

I just leased a Prius C and loved the whole dealership experience. Our sales person Michael S. was great and didn't pressure us at all. I went to other dealers to try other cars and came back to Toyota of Colchester to purchase the prius more because of the customer service provided let alone I loved the car.

Just a little thing, but when I was negotiating the price of the car, there was not a lot of flexibility on the part of the sales manager. I accepted his premise that the car I bought had just come in as a trade and had to go to through the shop and that it would be detailed and have a safety check. The car was not detailed. Stupidly I trusted and did not thoroughly look. There was a Budweiser can under the driver's seat that I pointed out to the sales rep Mike. I was stunned when my daughter informed me it was still there, after she drove it to school. Nice having an open container in the car of a 17 year old high school kid. The car had been cleaned somewhat, but it was certainly not detailed. Makes me wonder what slipshod safety check it got in the shop.

I've been working with Toyota of Colchester for over three years and so far they have always been excellent! Leasing a car from them was very easy, services and repairs are smooth and timely, and changing over from lease to purchase was a breeze. I purchased a used Toyota Tacoma from your store. I had an appointment at 4:30 Monday to complete the purchase that started late Sunday. Another Customer that had the appointment before me showed up after I did. I had informed them that I needed to be right on time as I had another appointment. But instead of honoring my appointment, I was forced to wait and thus missed my next appointment. Horrid Customer service. The truck test drove on the Colchester roads fine. When I got it on Route 84 around Hartford, I thought the truck was going to jump lanes. Suspension just was not feeling right. I got home did a deeper inspection of this truck and saw deep rust on the motor mounts and inside of the frame. We can say for a three year old trick that amount of rust was insane. On Tuesday I called the salesman and basically was told that I would have to wait for two weeks to get an appointment for the truck to be inspected and serviced. Not what I would call good customer service. At that time I offered to turn return the truck and purchase a new truck. It was like I was talking to a wall, no response. So your sales manager didn't hear this or what? Horrid customer service. service. If you buy from Toyota of Colchester beware!

The staff at Toyota of Colchester were wonderful and I highly recommend them. Yommie, the new car manager, was very helpful from start to finish, he even gave us a tour of the dealership as we waited for the final paperwork to be completed. During the process we were introduced to all the department heads and feel very comfortable returning to have my car serviced there. There is not enough room here to say all the positive things I would like.

I had a 2:45 pm appointment to take delivery of a new car. Didn’t get out of the dealer until after 4:00 pm. I will never buy anything else from Toyota of Colchester. This is the third time they’ve delivered such poor performance.

It would take a small book to describe the experience we had at this dealer. Although our salesperson was the one bright spot, overall we were so poorly handled by this dealer that we will never ever set foot on their lot again. It took several visits to get paperwork straightened out - items were lost, and we were accused of losing them. If you want a Toyota go elsewhere,,, perhaps Middletown.

I went in on a Saturday with my wife to test drive a MT Matrix. We also got them to look at our 98 Civic as a trade-in. The salesman was a typical pushy, arrogant type. He kept asking how much we wanted to pay. Other dealers are much more laid-back, and the better ones actually don't negotiate, which is a big improvement. These guys seem to be operating out of a 1970's car sales model. They also offered less than half for our trade-in as other Toyota dealers. In doing so, they would tell us we'd be "better off leaving our car on the side of the highway". So, for many reasons, we decided not to buy from them (we didn't tell them this, we just went away to "think it over"). Unfortunately, we forgot the registration at the dealer (our fault...). We had to call them back 4 times, spoke to different people. They told us the original salesman we dealt with no longer worked there, then someone else said he was still there, but not available, etc, etc. Eventually, the manager told us he went through the salesman's desk but could not find it, and that we're SOL. Instead of going through the DMV process, we called back, spoke to someone else, who went over to the desk, found it, and a week later we had it in the mail. Short version: they were pushy, told us many things that ended up not being true, and did not bother helping us. I would not buy from them.
