Shift to park issue in Traverse

I had a 9:30 AM appointment made online. I said in the appointment that I would drop the car off the night before. I showed up and the person behind the counter took my key. I also re-explained about the "shift to park" issue I was having and suggested he should probably disconnect the battery so it did not fully drain ( as I had the several days I had to wait for the appointment. I saw them come out and put a number on my car rear view mirror as I was leaving with my wife. The next day I got a call asking if I wanted to reschedule my appointment. I explained about dropping it off. They called back to discuss that the car wouldn't start. I re-explained about the "shift to park" issue I was having and my suggestion to disconnect the battery. They called back and said they had the parts in stock. Online I had seen that the issue was frequently seen - thus a known issue - in my vehicle and that the repair for this issue was opening the central shift panel, which took less than ten minutes and exposed the location of the switch which needed to be replaced. I would guess that replacing the switch would take maybe another half hour. So this was a quick repair - maybe an hour or so. I got a call back later saying they hadn't completed the job and asking if they could keep it over another night. I agreed. They completed the job the next day and said I could come in and get my car. The bill for the job was 1 hour for analysis to discover the cause of the issue and 1.8 hour for the repair. I think this is excessive, but I paid. It then took them over 1/2 hour to find my key. They had mis-marked it. Eventually I got out with my car.

Fuel Injectors.

Truck had a check engine issue. Fuel injectors ended up being the problem and was replaced several times all different days. Wished problem was fixed on the first attempt.

Horrible service!

Horrible service. Stay far away from this place. Was charged $170 for a diagnostic, when I inquired about the repair needed (water pump complete replacement) I was directed to the cashier, was not greeted she asked my name and told me I needed to sign and pay the fee. I told her I had questions and she said after I sign and pay she will send me to talk to the service writer. Very rude. When I asked the writer about the actual part that needed fixed he could not tell me what actually failed.. Gasket, seep hole leak, mechanical malfunction, if a gasket which one? Was told no actual mechanical failure in pump.. Its a 2 piece water pump with multiple gaskets that are replaceable. So why replace 200 dollar water pump if its just a gasket and you cant confirm any mechanical failure?The diagnostic I was charged for would have given them this simple information. When I contested the diagnostic I was told they cant give me any info and the tech was gone for the day. I was told he would contact me the next day. I heard nothing the next day. Contacted the writer and again requested a speedy response. I was told tech had not shown. They still have not explained what actually failed where it is physically leaking from.. Still have not contacted me its been weeks! I was treated horribly when I informed them they would not be performing the repair. They took my money, tossed me my keys and refused to explain the diagnostic or to respond to any of my questions. Took my money I worked hard for, didnt perform any diagnostic then showed me the door.. Seriously reconsider any business with this dealership, I would hate for you to experience what me and my family have been put through at platinum chevy. Now our car is undrivable and we have small children and weeks later I am 170 dollars poorer and not even sure what failed in my car. So much for taking care of customers.. Maybe they are just to busy to respect hard working people.. Dont have time to diagnose cars properly, just need to get paid. I feel sad for future customers and their familys.Rude service writer and cashier. Was completely embarrassed and Shocked they can treat customers in this manner. Recommend another dealership to anybody I can. Noone should be treated this way. Poor excuse for a dealership.. I am a customer service rep here in Sonoma County serving 500 customers a day and would NEVER make a customer feel this way. I have a relationship with all my customers and freely share my feelings about this dealership and how they treated me and my family. I hope noone has to leave a place that demoralized and I will continue to do my best to get the word out so noone does.

**Since I first posted this review on yelp I have spoken to the Owner of this Business and he was absolutely no help as well. Their lack of Customer Service and their selfish nature obviously comes from the top of this organization down. AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!! I took my Brand New Truck with appox 5,000 miles to there Service Department on May 2nd for an Oil Change and a couple minor warranty items and not only did they lie to me about getting it back the same day but it took them 3 days to return my truck......it gets worse. I had to call to get status updates several times as no one was calling me to let me know what was going on and upon my last call they told me that there was an accident in the shop and that my New Truck had been damaged. REALLY? Fast forward to today June 13th.....still no resolve. They gave me one option for making this right and that was to allow them to take my Brand New Truck to their body shop of choice and have them repair and repaint my truck. No Thank You. I sent an email to the General Manager today and I am posting this yelp review to try and get their attention so that settlement can be made and I can keep on living my life. I will never return for Service or to buy another Vehicle. STAY AWAY from these people they only care about one thing and that THEMSELVES!

horrible experience

I bought a 2016 Chevy Volt from this dealer. The salesman promised me multiple times that the green sticker, my may reason for purchasing the vehicle, would be still be available to me . The car took much longer than promised to come in and when I applied for the green sticker it I was denied since DMV had just issued the last of them. Some accessories were to be added by the dealer after delivered, but they missed their promised deadline to do this multiple times. When I finally to possession of the vehicle I received a call w/in 15 minutes that I needed to bring it immediately back since it wasn't actually ready to drive and needed a safety check.

Great Customer Service

I brought my truck in for service appointment, and the service department was totally slammed (it was the day after a holiday weekend). The service consultant that assisted me (John C.), was not only personable, but had my truck done in less time than anticipated. I would highly recommend this dealership for not only their excellent service department, but also for their sales department. The staff is excellent. I would recommend them to all friends and family.

Hard to Find a Shop Like This Anymore!!

This dealership was incredible when I purchased the car and have been nothing but that when I return for service as well. We live a couple hours away, so they completed my service and recall in an exceptionally timely manner. Shuttle service to run errands so you aren't trapped. This was one of the most sincere experiences I have had at a car dealership. Our particular case was a little complex, we were stuck in a very bad payment plan with one of our current vehicles, and our 'second car' had bitten the bullet a couple of days earlier. The salesmes at Chevy didn't push anything on us, they listened to our situation, asked good questions, and put our options on the table. I didn't feel for a second like they were trying to take advantage of us. They were very open and helped us figure out what we needed to do. I would recommend these guys to anyone. If you are in the market for a Chevy, they have a huge inventory, and if my personal experience is anything to go by they will help you the best they can.

An Excellent Car Buying Experience

A devoted Subaru owner/lover, I haven't bought a new car in 15 years, and I expected it to be a hassle and for the salesperson to try to rip me off (cynical much?) What I experienced at Platinum Chevrolet was the exact opposite of that. I had done a lot of research ahead of time about the Volt, so I knew the right questions to ask. Joe Herrera was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and no pressure. I really just felt like he was there to help me rather than rip me off. I trusted him right away. When I found the actual car I wanted at another dealership, Joe and Gerry bent over backwards to get the car to Santa Rosa for me. After we negotiated (which was really easy and I felt like I got a good deal,) I made an appointment to pick up the car and do all the paperwork. Everyone there- especially Joe and Mark and Nicole- worked hard to make extra sure I was happy and satisfied with their service. Platinum Chevy completely changed the way I feel about buying a car. I am THRILLED with my new Volt, and I am in the process of talking a good friend of mine into considering one as his next car. I already gave him Joe's number. I look forward to going to visit and say Hi when I come back to get my oil changed. I feel like the is the beginning of a really good relationship between Chevy and me.
