Friendly and honest

We recently bought a 2011 Volkswagen Routan from Capo VW. Our salesperson was Don Abadie. He was really great. We showed up one day to check out the car and told him we weren't buying that day. He didn't pressure us at all and gave us his card and told us to contact him when we were ready. After settling a few things we decided it was time to buy. I e-mailed Don and he was quick to respond with a fantastic quote that couldn't be beat by any dealer in the area...trust me I solicited quotes from A LOT of dealers. Once we decided on the color etc, we showed up at the dealership and completed the paperwork. I used to be in car sales so I know what all the tricks of the trade are and they didn't try to pull anything shady at all. All in all it was an easy and painless process and I am really glad we purchased our Routan from Capo VW.

Can't be trusted

Tried to slip in fake fees disguised as fees required by the state of California. Tried to slip in some other bogus charges. Also refused to put anything they said in writing - - a big warning signal! After they approved financing, mysteriously insisted I go to local bank branch for a cashiers check. I did but then Kept us there for 3 hours just working us, this was after handing them the cashiers check deposit. Stay away from this dealer!! Just a whole dishonest process from start to finish. Never informed me of a recall on my model either. Can't comment on service because they just don't want to do any of that.
