unjust

Took my 2015 Rogue in for tires as I am going on a long trip. Because I bought my vehicle certified pre-owned, it was a year old when I purchased it and only had one previous owner, a full inspection warranty was still in effect. I was given a fair price on the tires and was later called and told that the transmission line had burnt oil in it along with metal particles and Nissan would replace the transmission at no cost. I've been a Nissan customer for 25+ years and until now very satisfied. As a recent retiree at the time of purchase, this vehicle was meant to last me a long time. A 2015 Nissan Rogue should not have that type of transmission problem and I felt that either the vehicle was defective off the line or I was not told it had been in an accident as the service rep told me the problem was that the transmission was not secured. I decided to check into purchasing a new Nissan Rogue. In the month of September I was personally sent a voucher with my vehicle ID# on it offering me $15,628 for a trade-in. In small print it says the vehicle needs to be in good condition and based on mileage of $10,000 miles per year. I new the mileage was over and expected some deduction for that, but never the amount they offered. I must say that both the internet sales rep Alexie on 10/5 and the floor sales rep Juan Baltazar on 10/6 were very helpful and understanding. I can not say the same for the assistant sales manager Danny Doung. He offered me 6K+ on my trade-in and the sticker price I saw on the vehicle outside had increased by thousands of dollars on the paper he presented. After some discussion (he was pompous and demeaning) and his unwillingness to negotiate, I said I thought I had grounds for litigation. He said the discussion was over and he refused to give me a copy of the offer he had presented. I returned the next day hoping to get better service. Again the floor sales person was kind and apologetic and he introduced me to Rick Corona the General Sales Manager. He made a better offer than the previous evening, however only wanted to give me $9,400 on the bad-tranny Rogue. The net selling price (31k less cash, loyalty, end of year incentive) on the 2018 vehicle I was interested in was $26k less $1 I was asked to write a check for $19+. Again, if I'm turning in a vehicle that was purchased from this same dealership within a short period of time my thought is I should not be paying this much money. That same day I went to Metro Nissan in Montclair and purchased a vehicle.

Barbara Gama

This review is for Barbara (Sales Rep), I went in to purchase a vehicle, and she was able to get me in a NEW CAR!!! Barbara was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, she made sure I was taken care of the entire process. She made the whole process quick and stress free. Thank you Barbara!!

Need a competent floor Manager

I went to buy a truck Titan Xd to this dealership sales person was very professional very courteous and no pressure the problem was when we were trying to structure a deal the sales floor manager in turn came out took a look at the paper work did even read it and told me if you are getting your payment from another dealer where you want it I don't know what are you doing here I said thank you and walked away I felt bad for Felipe my sales person and he felt bad for me but this guy Greg I believe his name was has no customer service skills/idea, does not understand why people walk into his business floor I get it deal was not going to happen but still need to be professional specifically with recurring customers as I have bought 2 cars in the past.

Unethical and Illegal

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! I live 5 hours away I negotiated a deal over the phone, then AFTER they instructed me to make the trip down via the train, I arrived to find out the truck isn't ready to be sold. (AFTER a day in a half of lies) Needed tires, breaks, smog, and safety check. After having to find a place to stay for the night, take another day off work, and buy clothes and tolietires, I returned the next day when they promised the car would be ready by lunch. It wasn't until 1:00pm that they were finally honest and admitted that they were not allowed to sell the car yet, because the deal it came in on as a trade hasn't gone through. After wasting 2 train tickets, a day and a half of work, a night stay, clothes, and meals I had to leave with no truck. When we approached "Bosch" the Floor Manager, he asked "what's the big deal, you want the truck right? Why didn't you just bring a change of clothes." When I responded I no longer was interested in the truck, and left, he made a point to stick his head out the window to say "well, have a great trip". The GM was conveniently not present that day, and has not returned phone calls. They have a sign on the floor with the "owners cell number" in which he states to call him if we have issues and aren't treated like family. Both calls have gone unanswered. This dealership is the slimiest of slimy car dealers. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE!! I will be reporting to BBB. They are advertising cars that they are not legally allowed to sell yet! DO NOT PURCHASE!!! Bad Business, Bad Service, Bad People!

Raceway Nissan ROCKS!

I absolutely love Raceway Nissan. Everyone there is knowledgeable, friendly, and are willing to help. Tom Gomer is the man! He was helpful and I felt like he had my best interests at heart. He was open and knowledgeable about my vehicle and helped me have a positive car buying experience. Did not take very long at all for the paperwork and the deal and I was able to drive off with my vehicle and a smile. Absolutely LOVE the Internet Team at Raceway Nissan!!!!! Osmond Ezinewa is the best Finance Manager I have ever dealt with! The was fun and worked every number possible to get me the most warranty and back end options for the best price. He was up front and I felt secure in the options I bought. It helps that the Showroom and 2 story layout of the building is beautiful and it doesn't feel like you are in a dealership. Thank you again Tom and Osmond you guys ROCK and have my loyalty!!!

Horrible Horrible Horrible

The only reason I gave them 1 stars is because I really like the truck I purchased. Other than that everything was horrible.I would stay away if you were thinking about buying from here. The contracts in Spanish and English are not the same and they charged me almost 2,000 more for something that comes with the vehicle but isn't programmed, that no one even mentioned I had to get programmed but still got charged for it, yet on the contract it says it's optional. They also didn't own up to the advertised price they have online. I could go on and on about how unhappy I ended up, but you get the point. Basically, if I were you I would stay away from this place. I would be crazy to recommend this dealer to anyone.

Don't Go To Raceway Nissan

Promised to have the vehicle I wanted. When I arrived they tried did not have the vehicle and tried to old bait and switch routine. Very unprofessional sales staff and the worst manager I have ever seen. The manager should be fired!!!! Don't go to Raceway Nissan.

Sales Experience "Overall Great"

Like all Dealerships and buisness. They are out to make money. It's up to you to make the experience good or bad. That's my take on this. I had a excellent experience with the sales rep at Race Way Nissan. It had a bump or two. But the overall experience was great. The sales rep was very nice and listened to what I had to say. I received the car I wanted and it had more on it then I asked for, but the sales rep had to get the car picked up for me and when it arrived at the Dealership, it was a beautiful car when I saw it. Like I said it had more than what I asked for, but in the overall discussion with the sales rep. he made it all right and at a price I just could not refuse. Of course my wife didn't want to pay more than what she had planned for the car. But when she saw it and drove it, she thought twice about it. After talking with the sales rep and going over a few things, he actually did us a great favor and a unbelievable price and we just couldn't refuse. Hahaha but then again here goes the wife. But I told her I wanted to get her the car no matter what and after I talked with her a bit more, she was happy and knew it was a great deal. We did not have to hassle or haggle about a price, the price was rock bottom. We had been to many other dealers and for what we got, they didn't even offer a great price like we got. I'm very happy and pleased with the experience we had with the sales rep at this dealership and also all the way to the end of getting the keys we enjoy and had a great time. I think its what you make it, if you are not happy when you first walk in, then turn around and walk back out, It is your choice. Thank you to the Internet Sales Director and Sales Rep.

extremely rude and unprofessional and they seem like crooks

After test driving the cars and choosing one, the next step is to negotiate the price, then the financing and so on. The only time when they need your credit is when you request financing, if you are financing from somewhere else they may never see your info. These guys thing they are something else because they won't even give you the time of day before checking your credit. They took my Drivers license and scanned it (something you should not allow them to, they don't need to do that, no other dealership I have been to did it). After I denied giving consent to run my credit, I had it with me in my purse, they became rude and told me they were not negotiating anything. They were rude to other people that were at the dealership because two of these people walked out screaming bloody mary about them, they were not white so I suspect some discrimination as they treated me very differently from other dealers that never saw I was not white. The bottom line, with so many dealerships around waiting for your business that are staffed with decent professional people, why come here? It makes no sense at all? This is all about costumer service. Besides, the way the try to do business concerns me a lot and I would never buy from them because it makes me think they are not honest and I would be afraid of being taken advantage of. Like I said, there are many other decent dealers do not shop here. These guys are what makes car dealers look bad, they should go out of business.
