Got a 2024 ix and for 5 months I was thinking about it but my visit at east bay bmw made my decision quickly after all the knowledge I got from my sales person Sam he is very professional respectful and straight to the point. I really appreciate his help and his follow-up after sales.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by our friendly and professional service advisor, Myriam, who made me feel welcome and valued as a customer. She listened attentively to my concerns regarding my new X5 and assured me that it would be taken care of promptly. The service itself was performed efficiently and with great attention to detail. Hendricks East Bay BMW! Wow, Best Service!

I leased 2 Lexus vehicles from Hendricks in the past so when the Service was due on my new BMW i4 I took it to their East Bay BMW shop. At 7am I was meet by a smile and handshake from Geoff who made the entire experience a true pleasure! They sent me a video of the walkthrough and service which was cool and informative and washed the car as well. You can tell they treat their employees well because I saw Geoff going the extra mile for other guests arriving with joy, he loves his job (it gets kinda busy around 10am) Pro Tip: book your service early it’s like 7am it’s super peaceful :)

Bad Servie Appointment

My 2011 X5 had a recall and due for brake pads replacement this month. I called the moment the maintenance light went on and could not get a service appointment till 2 weeks later, which is the day before thanksgiving. I was told when I made the appointment that if I dropped the car early in the morning then I should be able to get the car back within the same day. I went over there around 8:45am, waited for over 20 minutes without anybody servicing or asking me if I got helped with. Finally, I couldn’t wait any longer, I grabbed a random person to see how much longer I have to wait. Another 15 minutes later, I got serviced with a different advisor than scheduled (somehow, the person supposed to be my service advisor mysteriously disappeared), who I had to explain all my issues again and then to find out that they don’t know how long it will take for my car to be repaired. Great! I had a long holiday weekend with the whole family and we had to stuck with a 328 to drive around. We didn’t get the call till Saturday 1pm that the car was finally ready. We purposely went in around 4pm to make sure we don’t have to wait very long, but guess what, another half hour wait just to pick up the car. In between the wait, we were told, they can’t find out car! Finally the car was found but UNWASHED! We were asked if we can wait another half hour or so for the car to be washed. We said NO because we couldn’t stand waiting in that crowded and cold office in those uncomfortable chairs! (and please note it was so crowded that there were no seats available in the lounge)! I thought my bad experience finally came to an end, but I was wrong! We started to notice there was a very annoying squeaky noise coming from the brake here and there when we drove the car the next day. It happened again 2 days in a row, so I brought it back to the dealer today. After another 40 minutes wait, I finally got to see a service advisor who I will not forget the first name, Jonathan! I’ve never met such a rude advisor at any BMW. I explained the situation, then he went, it’s very normal and there is nothing I can do. Then I said, it can’t be normal, the noise wasn’t there before! Finally, with the front desk lady’s help, I drove the car with a foreman and he heard the noise too during the drive. However, he told me since the brake pads were replaced, all he can do is drive around for 10 minutes to help break in the pads! He came back said the noise is gone, but the moment I started drive, I heard it again on my very first stop! Since I was told do not come back unless I hear it on every break light, I guess I will never go back to this dealership for service or buy another BMW from them in my life! One thing bothered me the most is that all the people at the dealership to tell me to live with this unpleasant noise! I didn’t not spend 60k to buy a supposedly luxury car to make the same noise as those old junk cars on the road!

Timely service at a fair price.

If you need to bring in your car for service this a good place to go. I brought my 2011 BMW in for service and dealt with the service manager Jim B. As a previous BMW owner, I have come to expect higher than average repair bills and was pleasantly surprise to get a bill that was lower than I expected. Don't get me wrong it was higher than the average repair bill of my daughters Honda but that is to be expected.

CPO Purchased 5 Series BMW

Worked with East Bay BMW online then via text. We scheduled a time, came in, the car was in front (they were forewarned my 6 and 3 year old daughters were in toe)...my wife went on a test drive, came, saw and drove away with our new car. Roger T. even came with coloring books in hand to distract my girls. I def recommend EB BMW to perspective buyers.

Shockingly bad

This review is for their new sales department. Quick summary: These guys are disturbingly unprofessional and an utter embarrassment for BMW in customer service. Unless you're going to pay full in cash and not deal with financing, you'll waste hours here waiting despite appointments. Frankly I was shocked at what happened to us here. If they treat a loyal BMW enthusiast like us so crappy, I'm not sure what else anyone else could expect here. You'll likely get better treatment at your neighborhood McDonald's. I'm a three time BMW owner & enthusiast and ordered a 335 from these guys last March. To be fair, the ordering piece was the best part of my experience here, which was all done over e-mail and phone. Mien and Jason was top-notch and responsive, and they quickly settled on a fair deal with me. Unfortunately Mien got transferred to a new role, and I got assigned a new incompetent SA, and my experience just went straight downhill from there. Long story short, after 4 months of wait (that includes a month delay), I was finally told that the car will be ready to pick-up on the weekend. Pleasanton is at least a 2 hour drive for me round-trip, so a few days before, I called and asked my new SA whether there was any paperwork etc that he needed from me and that if we could front load anything upfront. His answer was simple - nope, your car will be ready for you to pick-up and you should be out of here in an hour. When the Saturday came, my wife and I walked in, expecting to sign the contract and drive away with the car that I waited for 4 months. Instead we first had to wait for 2 hours while they sorted out their paper-work. 2 hours later, they realized that they did indeed needed more documentation from me (among others, my MBA diploma? really?) which obviously I did not have with me at that time. This was exactly the situation that I was expecting to avoid when I called my SA specifically about this earlier. After now 3 hours of waiting and frustratingly condescending and unhelpful attitude, we walked out of there with no car that day. What a great way to spend a 5 hours on a Saturday afternoon. A few days later, I showed up once again with all the documents they needed. After another hour wait for the finance manager Doug M. (despite an appointment), he came out saying that the original deal terms were not valid anymore since it's now past 3 months of my placing the order and terms might need to change. Umm, sorry guys, it was BMW that delayed my order - what am I supposed to do, re-negotiate multiple deals for the same car every three months? After wasting another 2 hours and push back on the deal, the paperwork finally got completed, and they pulled up the car for the final disappointment. The brand new car that was perfect just a few days ago now had a nice ding on the passenger side. That's right folks, not only that 1) they messed up in customer service in every opportunity earlier 2) attempted to back-down from the negotiated deal 3) were unapologetically unprofessional for the entire experience, the icing on the cake was they managed to ding the car. Kudos guys, you managed to check every check box on how to fail as a BMW sales department.

They were good to me

I told them I didn't want any pressure and they told me they would beat any other quote by $250 and they did. Also they took my costco card and gave me an EVEN better quote with the Costco discount. The sales seemed to me to be hassle free and direct.
