Be wary of this dealership

by MikeHH69 on 10/13/2018

Be wary of this dealership. I paid cash for my mini cooper, on May 25th, 2018 and am STILL waiting for the title and register to arrive. Avi, the owner, told me that it could take up to 4 months for it to arrive so I waited the 4 months. Come to find out, via the DMV, it should take no longer than 3 months. My friend just bought a car at a reputable dealership, in Palm Springs, and received her title and registration in 2 weeks! Anyway, I called the DMV at the 4-month mark and was told that the car was registered to Mini Stevens Creek in Northern California (not Desert Auto Dealer). Not only that, Stevens Creek "re-registered" the car as 'vehicle-stock in August of 2018--months after I bought it. I called Avi and he told me he would handle it. I also went into the dealership to get a new temporary. tag cuz the first one had expired (after 90 days). He told me, on that day, 3 weeks ago, that he'd handle it THAT DAY and that the title and registration would arrive at my home in 2 weeks or less. He promised that it would. Well, low and behold, I still don't have either one. I called the DMV, this morning, and they said Avi has not sent them the necessary paperwork and that the car is still registered to Mini Stevens Creek in northern CA. I hung up the phone and called Avi. Once again, he gave me the runaround. I've been patient up to this time but I lost it. I told him that I wasn't going to wait any longer and that I want my title/registration NOW! Minutes later, he texts me a pic of the title and says that it's "the auction's fault" for the delay (which is complete bs). To which I told him that I didn't buy it from the auction that I bought it from him and that he shouldn't be selling cars that he doesn't have a free/clear title too. He said that he would handle it today, Oct. 12--almost 5 months, after I paid him for my car. I told him I wanted to be reimbursed for the bs that he has put me through. He offered me a tank of GAS! I told him that I'd prefer he reimburses me 2K. I feel it's more than fair for the crap he has put me through. He laughed at me and said he wasn't going to give me a dime. I don't like putting people's business's on blast but my experience with Avi (and his business) has been SO BAD that I think everyone should be made aware of it. I'm also filing a complaint with the state of CA. I'll keep you all posted on what they find. My suggestion is that you be very careful when dealing with this dealership. They have been very shady with me. I don't trust them at all. They also have an F rating with BBB.

[non-permissible content removed] and dishonest Dealer

by kevinoc on 11/01/2017

I bough my 2012 Mercedes CLS63 with water leak on windshield inside the car. The dealer knew but still selling the freaking luxury car to me. It is screw up Bluebooth car system and losing signal when play music through my phone. Then they hold up DMV registration in 2 months delay refinance my car with lower rate. Their rate 5.9% but I can get 2.2% with my bank. Then 2nd key keep promising but never send to me in 3 months. This is dealer not worth for you to buy luxury car or any car here. Go some elsewhere friend not with this dealer. The owner is big [non-permissible content removed].

Desert import export buys autos from auctions for like 500 and sells them for 3-5 k without descent repairs. Anyone could do that if you buy from them be prepared the vehicle will be unsafe and have high repair costs
