Marin County Ford

So buying a car can and usually is one of the most frustrating things you have to do. The experience with Marin Ford started off as a great interaction. We had been given the runnaround a few times with promises to help get us out of a car we shouldn't had bought. We were upfront each time just like this time just looking for some honesty and help. Well i called Marin Ford after reading a few reviews and another Ford dealership had almost helped us. Jeff Lopez a sales consultant picked up the phone and was super polite. I laid it all out for him a car salesmans dream. Told him my payoff credit score and the complete situation. He said give me some yime let me see what i can work out. He reached out a few hours later and said i think i can help. Well i fell for it. Filled out the online credit app. He even sent a video of the car tjat would work. Got my wife all excited. Bhe said we are good to go come down tomorrow. We set an appointment for 6pm after work. I messaged him at 4pm making sure we were good to go. Prompt reply YES SIR!!!! We drove the 90 minutes through traffice with two young kids. Well 555pm rolls around just a mile away from the Sales Manager Daniel. Yep not a good sign. Im sorry but i just got this and ran the numbers and we need 3 times the down payment to make it work. Thats right 3 times. That 5k is now 15k. Why???? Great question. Well that very helpful sales consultant Jeff Lopez didnt follow through and the application at all throughout the whole day and we find out 5 minutes before. Well now 5 hours later im finally pulling onto my driveway same car and a whole Griday wasted on some bad customer service broken promises and lies from Marin Ford. I know this wont sway too many people but if your like me youll at least ask extra questions to have some piece of mind. But if you do use it i would stay away from Marin Ford or at the very least Jeff Lopez.
