Appointment schedule delay

Most of the time I’m attended maybe 10-15 minutes after I arrive for my scheduled appointment but the last time I went I waited over half an hour. My appointment was at 10:45, I arrived just before that, but they just put a number on the top of my car and didn’t actually come check in with me until a little past 11:15. They’re nice folk though and once they get to you everything runs smoothly but making an appointment seems a little pointless when they tend to run behind schedule anyway.

Bad experience

High pressure sale, and felt like took advantage of having my family there. Told them several times I was not planning to buy and that I needed to get my kid home. Disregarded my request to discuss the OTD price and ended up charging more on the actual MSRP than posted online. And then finance guy brought up an additional warranty that wasn’t explained prior. They sold me the car at a price that I honestly did not agree on but my fault trusting their wording in how they kept discussing the monthly pricing as opposed to the OTD. Lesson learned.

You never know how good someone or something is until something bad happens. The entire service organization at Garden Grove kia is phenomenal. Everyone went above and beyond my expectations. From Andrea, who answered my initial phone call to Efrain who took care of the service the process was efficient and effortless. When I am ready to purchase a new vehicle this will be my dealership.

Worst Car Dealership Experience

After going down to this dealership I will not ever go back to this dealership. The sales representative after knowing I had wanted to look at the inside of the Sorento refused to bring out the keys to open the vehicle. Not only this same representative verbally abused my wife. I am very surprised that the representatives are not trained in customer service and are not helpful at all.

This dealership is the WORST.

They're arrogant and condescending, even the manager. Not once did anyone apologize for losing our appointment. I'm so appalled at how customers are treated here. Since even the manger is [non-permissible content removed], no wonder the rest of the employs are exactly the same. I would not trust these people with my car.

A1 Service

Today I called Garden Grove Kia and spoke Joe Huynh he was very nice and took care of me right away. I have to be honest I was very impressed with how honest and helpful he was. He took care of ALL my questions. I got to the dealer greeted by Joe and was introduced to William Ryee (sales associate) he was straight to the point and had everything ready which I absolutely LOVED! He worked with the sales managers Pete Viol and Chad Clarke who was fast, friendly and very helpful. At this point I couldn't believe how great the service was. I must say I was extremely impressed. Even my kids 10 years and 3 years saw how nice they were. Finally I went to the finance manager Christopher Gamboa and man did he put the icing on the cake. Chris explained everything to where I could understand. He broke things down and was very patient doing it. This whole experience was Absolutely Amazing!!!! I highly recommend this dealership. I got a great car, great price and great men.

Service center

They have the worst service center!! With in a month we had to take our kia for service 3 time with the same issue and they still cant get it fixed. And for the working class that need there car everyday of the week they cant get us a loner car when its a manufacturer problem. They also have the worst so called (manager) Steve he is no help at all.

GG Kia Rip Off

I leased a 2012 Kia Soul through Garden Grove Kia which was a fairly easy experience. As I went to buy out my lease I was somewhat aware of the buyout price & tax as listed on Kia Motors Finance website but I was already at the dealership & figured it would be easier to write a check to a person. As a customer, I'm not 100% sure if the dealership or Kia Corporate financed my vehicle, as far as I'm concerned I leased it through the dealership & though I was making payments through Kia Motors Finance website I'm not that aware of the difference. When I came in to buy my vehicle the finance team at GG Kia had a salesman deal with me to purchase my vehicle & they basically tried to take me for a ride. They said I would need to pay for a $600 safety inspection & therefore at least new tires, smog check, title transfer & all these things without assessing my particular situation as I was about to go get my tires changed with a 3rd party, I had already re-registered my vehicle until 2016 etc... When we called them out they still came down with a figure of $11,125 whereas Kia Motors Finance website quoted me $10,184. When I mentioned that they basically told me then they couldn't help me & I better go through Kia Motors Finance to buy the vehicle & had me leave. I now understand the difference between the dealership vs. the corporate, but it's ridiculous that the dealership could not assist me in purchasing a vehicle that they helped me lease unless they could make money off of me right there & then. More than disappointed with the customer service I received, I fear for any other customer that would come here not fully informed that would have gotten or will get ripped off. I truly feel in my heart of hearts that this dealership only exists to make money off people's lack of knowledge & that is really unfortunate. I understand that every business needs to make money, but not every business has to be dishonest or perhaps I'm just being naive. Nonetheless I am purchasing my vehicle & I am disappointed that this dealership could have received any business of mine if they did at all. They really give a bad name to car dealerships, financing departments & the salesman. I do feel I learned a valuable lesson in purchasing cars for the future as I now will do all of my own research & find my own vehicle instead of allowing dealers to assist me in this process. I know I am not alone in the desire to be independent in the car buying process as many other people now do the same with the internet, but I usually have no problem allowing professionals to do their jobs, but it doesn't feel like there are many honest professionals in the car buying business any longer...

Tom, our salesman, was fantastic. He really went the extra mile to get us the car we wanted. The finance man, Kenny, was super too. Both very professional, and friendly. This experience far surpasses Kia of Cerritos! Thank you for my very first pleasant car buying experience.

Just bought our 3rd new KIA from these guys!

My wife hates car shopping with me...she says I'm rude to the salesguys. I don't like the guy who runs over with his hand out to shake your hand while he's still 20 feet away from you! Gives me a bad 1st impression... to eager! I also hate it when they know less about the car's you are looking at than you do! And I really dislike the bait and switch you get at some dealers who quote you a low price, then add thing on to jack up the price. You get none of that at KIA of Garden Grove! The showroom is not packed with cars..just tables and chaire so when your ready to buy you can relax and sit with the salesman. The cars are out in the lot so you can stroll around and look at what they have. Pick the color, options, model without being chased around. But if you need help it's there! We like James...he has been there a while, is low key, friendly, knows his cars, treats you like a friend...no pressure. But he's the finance guy now so you'll see him when your getting ready to buy. The rest of the staff is also great...this time we had Jason. What I especially like, is their stock is great...virtually all the models and colors are available. But keep in mind that KIA's are selling quite well and if you see what you like and they are inshort supply grab it! Our latest KIA Soul Exclaim for example...is a hot seller...whe just lucked out and showed up when one had just got there...so we snapped it up even as several others were sitting in it and wanting one! One thing we found out about KIA, is that their cars are well made, well designed, packed with standard stuff, highly rated for safety and quality. Our KIA Soul for exampleis a top safety pick AND a top rated vehicle for initial quality. And by the way, KIA has their own finance company...they can do some really good rates. There were no bad experiences here, and other customers (and there were plenty there on Saturday Afternoon!) seemed happy to be there, and the car wash guys in the back lot were getting a long line of cars ready for their new owners! We had to wait like everyone else! ;)

A 2011 KIA Sorento SX and then a 2012 KIA Forte EX 5 door. James was very responsive and really, really pulled some tricks with his boss to get us the best deal we found, and we searched 4 KIA dealers in Orange County and also Cerritos. I intend to return here in a few months to purchase our 3rd KIA...a 2012 Soul Exclaim or Sorento SX. We're not EVER happy with dealerships, so believe me when I say these guys don't try to pull the wool over your eyes or bamboozle you! They just try to earn your business...and the Sales Manager Erik is terrific too!

Good straightforward and efficient experience.

Right off the bat I talked on the phone with the internet sales manager. He was nice and I told him no BS I want to hear a good deal. Knowing the particular car I wanted KIA SX in platinum graphite fully equipped i had low expectations virtually all dealers were ripping me off starting at MSRP or 400 less. off the Bat Jon said $1000 over invoice I have your car. Done! Went in test drove it saw the exact one with 3 miles on it and Bam got it leased. It was really simple. However I looked at the invoice of $29,100 and I was a little iffy of that because edmunds said it was cheaper but the car had every option conceivable. floor mats, wheel locks everything. I feel like I got a good deal because of the rarity of the car and because they were really REALLY hassle free and nice. I would definitely recommend this dealership but for peate sake if your going to buy a car please know what your doing and what you may get into. Be prepared to be the Alpha and do your research. Whatever you do don't be a pushover but don't be stubborn if your good they will be good to you. In the end I got it leased and Iv visited the dealer randomly 3 times and have never seen my exact model again.
