Mislead and lied to

On Tuesday the 12th I purchased a new pickup from Fresno Buick GMC. During the purchase process I asked the sales rep Jesus Miranda to remove Auto butler which is a ceramic paint protector. Jesus stated “before they put a vehicle in the front lot it’s pre applied”. When I stated I didn’t like the fact that I was not given the option to opt out of purchasing it. Jesus negotiated the price from $1k down to $500. The next day I get a call from Marianna Ituarte their service coordinator to setup an appointment to have Auto Butler applied. I stated to Marianna I was told it was already applied to the vehicle. Marianna confirmed it was not applied prior to putting the vehicle in the front lot. In fact she was calling to setup an appointment to have it applied. To say the least I was floored, I was lied to. I immediately called to speak to someone in management. I left a voicemail on Ibraham Meric’s machine. I never received a call back. So I went in the following day in person. Where I was once again lied to by Ibrahim from finance. I told him what I was told by their service advisor. Approximately 30 minutes later they cancelled Auto Butler. I was misled and lied to multiple times. Yes I’m aware that accessories such as extended warranties and paint protection is a way to upsell. But when someone doesn’t want it, you shouldn’t force them to buy it. I can only imagine how many other buyers are lied to. (Buyers beware. )
