deception

by vereran on 11/18/2018

They led me to believe they had a black friday sale. never happened. Everytime i asked about the sale. they steered in another direction away from the question. By the time I left, i'd realized that laura, the sales person, had put me thru a normal, day at the dealership. All i left with was another ding on my credit report.

Bought the same car, SOMEWHERE ELSE!

by jengel11 on 12/01/2017

My experience with Adrian was awful. We were originally going to meet with Camille (who was great over the phone), but she couldn't make it in so we ended up stuck with Adrian instead. Not only did he seem inattentive and unprofessional when we were looking (for example, saying "hold on I just remembered I need to pay my mortgage" and stopping what we were doing so he could get on his cell phone). When we went into his office to discuss pricing, he brought back something WAY over what we told him we could afford per month (I get they do that on purpose) but was rude and condescending when we told him that we couldn't afford that much (commenting on our credit which isn't that good). He also said that, he was "only working with us to do a co worker a favor" and was supposed to be with someone else that "would have bought a car". When we told him we were going to go to lunch and would be back, he said that "he knows we aren't coming back so he will close the file and we can work with someone else IF we come back who will rerun our credit and restart the process". His overall demeanor was HORRIBLE and made me feel horrible. As we left my husband and I looked at each other and both agreed that even if we came back we would NOT buy anything from this guy. All in all we decided to go to another dealership with the same car we were interested in, in a better color and purchased that. The staff at that dealership were helpful, friendly, courteous, and actually wanted our money. The bottom line is that if Adrian hadn't been so rude, I would have come back, and I would have bought the car there.

Avoid Kia of Escondido

by hurricanes76 on 12/22/2012

This is actually my first time writing a review of any kind, but I felt it was important because maybe it could help you. I owned a Ford for six years, an Acura for eight years, a Honda for eleven years, and now a Kia for four months. My wife and I bought a Sorrento from the Kia of Escondido and in the past four months we have had our radio serviced three times. Nobody in the service department will return your phone call and every time you call them you will get their voicemail. Please consider going to the Carlsbad location or any other San Diego location this dealer is one to avoid at all costs. Kia’s big selling point is their warranty and that is great just not at Kia of Escondido. Thank you for you time!

We are already planning to buy our next car from this dealership...Perfect

by annieron on 04/14/2010

Two years ago my husband and I declared bankruptcy for the first time in our lives. We are used to having brand new cars, paying high prices which is one thing that got us in trouble once the economy slipped and we lost our business. After our bankruptcy we got a flyer mailed to us from this company and while we thought it was too good to be true we kept the flyer. Our truck was too expensive to maintain and keep filled with gas and our other car had 175,000 miles on it and I was afraid to drive it. We called Carmax first and they said our interest would be 24.9% and they would have to see our truck for the trade in. The sales person we spoke to at North County Buick Cadillac GMC Gia really listed to us and called us back telling us about the perfect affordable car. She told us what we would get for the truck, what our interest would be and what our monthly payment would be. We got there at 4:30 and there were NO surprises...no coming back asking for money out of pocket...everything how she said it on the phone and we drove away in our 1 year old beautiful Saturn at 5:15. Plus our interest for a bankruptcy was in the low teens and she even told us how to get our credit score up for an even better interest rate next time. No prepayment penalty and this was so flawless we will tell all of our friends and be back. We love our car!

Poor Experience

by dj928 on 04/14/2010

Typical friendliness from staff until after money is paid. Then, the process went downhill from there. They messed up badly on the color of the leather interior of my Jeep and refused to fix it. Then, problems mounted and were never resolved at all levels of service (see service review). Manager Barry Lehmer was arrogant, rude, and sarcastic. Check reviews everywhere to confirm this dealership is just awful. to assist us.

BAD ATTITUDES IN SALES & GENERAL MANAGER

by metalmom on 08/13/2009

The internet/costco sales people were nice initially, including making sure my clunker would qualify. They were nice until it was time to quote the price. The price they quoted was not in line with their contract with Costco, because when I asked for it, they suddenly did not want to sell me a car any more because I did not trust them! They actually told me to go elsewhere!! Wow! I was a cash customer and bought at another dealership THE SAME DAY where I was treated with respect. This all happened 3 days ago, and when I tried to give feedback to the General Manager of the dealership the next day, he was completely and totally rude and disrespectful, telling me they didn't want to give me the proper discount because I had a clunker (even though they were a participating dealer and this is a violation of the clunker program)!! This is also a violation of the referring companies. Given the attitude of the internet salesperson as well as the General Manager -- STAY AWAY!! I was literally discriminated against because I asked for the discount I was entitled to.
