Travis in service is the worst

by Mbcatfan on 09/13/2023

The upside is that the dealership is very well-kept and very nice place to wait. With that said, the service department kills every good thing about the dealership. my service writer Travis lied to me on Wednesday when I came into the dealer to have a warranty repair done and he offered to have me wait a couple hours just to diagnose. I did not have that time as this is a very busy time of year for me so I made an appointment for 8 AM the next morning, as he told me, he would get me ” in and out right away”. After aimlessly walking around with my dogs for an hour, I checked, and because my vehicle was pulled into a bay, he said they were still diagnosing the problem. Mind you this is not to get the vehicle fixed. This is just to read the codes in a 2021 model vehicle and have me make an appointment to come back to get it fixed. Finally, after over two hours I went over to the vehicle and asked the technician, what the problem was. He said he had just begun diagnosing it and they did not even hook it up onto the computer until an hour and 40 minutes after I had gotten there. He also stated he did not even have the right terrain to diagnose the vehicle and make the warning lights come on after I repeatedly told them when I brought it in that it only happens, off-road when the tires slip. at that moment, I knew that this was all just a way that they could bill Nissan USA for diagnostic time under my warranty at my expense of sitting around. It would’ve been a few more hours and still would not have been duplicated. At that moment, I left with all the computer codes in hand, as I literally had to grab the computer print out. Despite the fact that it had my name on it, they did not even want to give it to me because they knew I would just go to another dealership, show them the print out and have them make an appointment for me to have it properly repaired which is exactly what I’m going to do

2009 Murano required 2 head gaskets to be replaced

by liatanner on 05/23/2013

I brought my 2009 Murano in for an oil change and 50k mile check-up in December 2012. I was told by the service advisor that I had 2 cracked head gaskets and they needed to be replaced for $2,500. or I would run the risk of damaging my engine block. Since I don't know cars that well, I agreed that they provide the service. My car was only 3 years old and I felt it had to be an issue with workmanship. I sent an email to the dealership and submitted a claim via their website. To date, no response. This month, I was told I needed to replace an airbag sensor that had been flashing on and off for $1,200. I chose not to do the work and it has since reset itself and did so without spending the $1,200. I just don't trust this dealer and will not be buying any further cars from this Dealership.
