Hoehn Acura

Mike Herbst in internet sales is not professional. I only chose to give him a shot because Hoehn Acura had the color combination on the TLX I was shopping for. When I arrived he gave me Hoehn's blank application to complete. I refused to fill it out without getting a copy of our agreed terms in writing. He hissed at me and mumbled snarky comments on the way to the Finance Managers office. He returned and the terms didn't include the 15k miles, when I asked him to include this his comment was "Is there anything else?" My response "no, do we have a problem?" He made me feel like I was nuisance. Anyways, the night ended with him saying something was wrong with the banks system and he would call me the next day. Well at this point, he asked for 3 additional documentation which I provided. Long story short, once he said the deal was approved I insisted on returning the following week to sign. He was aggressive and kept asking when I could come in. After some emails back and forth regarding his recommendation of a "blind appraisal" and "trading in" my Honda lease that was already mature made no sense. I informed him my decision was to wait the week, have the inspector assess my current Honda and then I would return to do the deal. A few more follow up questions from me, he became as he would say in his email "frustrated" and insisted if "we haven't earned your trust... Perhaps you should consider another option." Please note, I drove 30 minutes on a Thursday night at 7:15pm, left with no car. Mike did not take me for a test drive, and tried to keep my original documents. Frustrated should not be something you feel when you are a professional car salesman. I gave him buying signals, even allowed him to pull my credit, and he was frustrated. Perhaps frustrated is the other dealerships that gave better service and spent more time with me without running my credit. I give Hoehn Acura 1 star because I can't give 0. But I did appreciate that Mike encouraged me to seek my other options. Listen to Mike perhaps if you can't walk in and trust your car salesman then you too should seek another option. I have the TLX I wanted with much better service, the terms I wanted, without the headache, oh and in 1 visit.

i've been an acura owner/lessee for 20 years. i recently moved to ca from ny so this was my first experience with buying a car at hoehn acura in carlsbad. i was assigned to sales associate christine slee and i can't say enough positive things about her professionalism and the virtually immediate trust that i felt dealing with her. christine understood my needs and fitted me into a car that i couldn't be happier with. i would recommend christine to anyone who desires to be treated fairly, respectfully and have their needs met in an expeditious and most pleasant manner. when i walked into the dealership the following day to get a tutorial session on my new car features from christine, i was greeted warmly by several hoehn employees who recognized me from the day before-i was asked-"so, do you like your new car?" I responded "no, i love my new car." kudos to hoehn and christine.

I appreciated Christine's industry expertise particularly her financial background. She was able to communicate all options so I could make the best choices. Her knowledge of the dealership, available inventory, and trade in was greatly appreciated. I would recommend Christine and Hoehn Acura to anyone who needs to buy a car now and in the future. It's never been a better time to buy a car, price, financing options, and great, I mean great customer service. Christine even emptied out my old car for me! She didn't have to do that but I appreciate her going the extra thousand miles to make this car buying experience quick, easy, and the best I've ever had. Nice job!

I purchased a 2013 RDX Tech this month and it was by far the best auto purchasing I have ever had. After requesting quotes from Edmunds.com, I visited Carlsbad's Hoehn Acura. Christine Slee was incredibly helpful. There was no pressure or hype about buying the car or up-selling add-ons. I found Christine to be genuine, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She answered all my questions and spent an hour with me after my car was delivered to explain all the high tech equipment. The Sales Manager, Charles Webb, was friendly and much more "laid back" than expected. I usually have an uncomfortable feeling walking into the Sales Manager's office. Mr. Webb carefully explained all the transactions and never tried to hurry me along or pressure me into purchasing unwanted contract additions. Christine Slee and Hoehn Acura in Carlsbad have earned my undying loyalty. As a woman, I have had several very condescending experiences purchasing vehicles. Here I was treated with respect.
