Happy Buyer of 3 Vehicles From Pieere at Putnam Chevrolet

Highly Recommend everyone to go and check out this dealership. I have purchased a 2023 Tahoe RST, 2023 Colorado & 2024 Sierra. Have called Pieere to run the numbers and details and worked with Dean to finalize all the paperwork. Look forward to coming back and buying another company vehicle or trading in for a new one. Don't Go To Putnam

In March, Putnam charged me $736 to replace the exhaust manifold in my 2013 Chevy Equinox when it was still under warranty! While I was there, Putnam added 3 quarts of oil and didn’t tell me that the 2010 through 2013 Equinox and Terrain models were the subject of three class action lawsuits for excessive oil consumption!!! https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2018/chevy-equinox-ecotec-engine-lawsuit-oil-consumption.shtml Putnam knew that GM had already admitted that “Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain vehicles, equipped with a 2.4L engine, may exhibit excessive engine oil consumption (less than 2,000 miles per quart of engine oil), due to piston ring wear.” GM had already issued three Service Bulletins to all of its dealers about these cars: • Special Coverage Adjustment 14159a – Excessive Engine Oil Consumption • Special Coverage Adjustment 15285 - Excessive Engine Oil Consumption • Special Coverage Adjustment 16118 - Excessive Engine Oil Consumption On June 25th, one of my piston rings blew! Putnam told me that they found metal shavings in my oil filter and that I needed a new engine for $10,000!!! The class action settlement would have paid to replace my piston assembly if Putnam had been honest with me about the problem, but now that the engine needs to be replaced, GM’s lawyers say they don’t owe me a dime! It is now August 27th, I am still driving a rental car while making payments on my dead Equinox and it will cost me more than the car is worth to fix it because Putnam didn’t come clean with me in March and fess up about the known defect. STAY AWAY FROM PUTNAM IF YOU WANT HONESTY FROM YOUR DEALER!

Throwbacks - in a bad way

I bought my 2013 suburban from this dealership in what is simply the worst financial decision of made as an adult. These guys are [non-permissible content removed]. The few times I've had issues with the car it always requires multiple visits before they finally figure it out, if they figure it out. They are just as apt to blame something else for their failings. (eg my bugshield is the reason people can't hear what I say on the phone. Bug shields removed, problem remains. My iPhone can't connect with USB, must be my iPhone's issue. Odd it connects just fine with all my other vehicles and numerous devices as work. Did I mention it also works with all the rental cars I've used in the last 2 years?) One other thing. Remove your valuables. I've had stuff mysteriously disappear while in service. I shouldn't have to completely clean out my car to get it serviced.

Don't buy from them; they lie!

DON'T buy your Chevy from Putnam. After wasted hours, they tried to trick us to sign a deal with the rebate fund I should be getting from Chevrolet for first time GM buyer and forfeiting the 60 Days GM Satisfaction program and called it their "discounted price"! What they called is a discounted price is just a lying game they played without integrity. Especially, the Sales Manager Michael Ng, he was just shifting numbers around and said they have provided discount, when clearly the price has not changed from MSRP. They are like the 70's car salesmen, think their customer is stupid. Don't let them fool you, just buy somewhere.
