Service at Crain

Ever since I purchased my Buick LaCross in 2015, Crain has taken good care of my car. I want GM parts and a group of Friendly people and knowledgeable people to take care of my car.

Like going to a Liars convention

Car was NOT ready as I was told, the amount for diagnosis was NOT deducted as I was told. Originally told that repairs would be $2500. Gave them $320 for diagnosis. Took the car back in to get repairs on Thursday morning and told it would be ready Friday late. I jokingly said there was no way and that it would probably be Monday or Tuesday. Told the advisor to call and leave a message when I was not available. I tried 4 times ( phone record in hand) to contact advisor to no avail. Then called service department when a woman with no knowledge of anything tried to make me give her my life history. I told her to put me on with the service manager. Put on hold for 5 minutes then I hung up. Some other woman called saying she was returning my call. She was NO help at all. Finally was told the cost was $2456. SOOO I prepared to get all that I needed to pay for my car. Wrote a check and had Crain send the shuttle to pick me up. Got to the dealership and handed over the check. The check was NOT acceptable. CASH OR CREDIT CARD ONLY. And the amount that I was told was NOT what I had been told over the phone TWICE. Simple math says $2500 minus $320 SHOULD be $2180 but THEIR math said $2456.33 ALL they could say is OKAY. And I said GOOD BYE. I could not give negative STARS so goes the ball gave. The Federal Trade Commission realizes that there are dealerships like this one and have implemented NEW rules that are to take effect in July, 2024. Of course the National Automobile Dealers Association is very much opposed to cleaning up crooked dealers. I will NEVER get near another CRAIN dealership again.

Crain Buick has stepped up their game with this last visit for an oil change and filter and tire rotation. I used a MY GM Rewards voucher for a portion of the cost of the service. Everything was seamless and very professional. As compared to, 6 months ago where the Service receptionists did not even know what I was talking about when I handed them a GM MY Rewards Service Voucher. I had sent them a less than glowing review on the GM survey I received. I don't know if the review had any impact on the changes I saw this time, but the interaction was much better! To the point, it makes me want to COME BACK! And after all, that is point of all Service interactions; to make you WANT to return to spend money with them! Beware: Incompetent Salesmen - 1 star

I had the displeasure of dealing with the following employee's at Crain Buick GMC: Curtis Clark (internet sales) , Robert Gilmore (internet sales director), & Kevin Moore (sales consultant). I was looking to purchase a used automobile from their dealership from an online search. This was the start of an exhausting three week endeavor of misinformation about the vehicle, miscommunication between the salesman, and overall lack of knowledge about the vehicle that they were trying to sell. I found it near impossible to get a complete Carfax, accurate description of the vehicles condition, and vehicles service history. Because I am considering purchasing the vehicle sight unseen, I am relying heavily on the sales teams honesty, integrity, and knowledge. All three salesman displayed none of these qualities. Days would go by with no email or telephone response to my inquiries. When I finally got to speak with them, they were more concerned about discussing price than answering basic questions about the vehicle. I was initially going to overlook their incompetence because I liked the car. I eventually gave in and we agreed upon a price for the vehicle. However, I didn't trust the salesman (after they continued to make contradictory statements) and ultimately didn't feel confident about the quality of their used car. I finally had enough when they tried to pull a fast one and stick me with excessive dealer charges and shipping. I tried to meet them halfway and agree to split the shipping charges with them, but that didn't satisfy their greed. I would urge all if of you to save yourself your precious time and purchase your new or used car from an honest and competent dealership. Not from Crain Buick GMC. I suspect the majority of the positive reviews are from family members and friends of those who work for this dealership.

Never provided a quote

After requesting a quote by e-mail, listing a 2010 Terrain, and listing the options I wanted, I never was provided with a quote. That was six days ago.I e-mailed again and still got no response. I bought the car at another dealership. I'd bought my last car from Crain and was disappointed that they didn't have their act together this time.

Great experience

My truck buying experience was the best i have ever had was at Crain Pontiac Buick Gmc. The salesman was laid back and was very supportive of my needs and wants. When i drove up on the lot thesalesman shook my hand and introduced himself. I told him what i wanted and he took me directly to the vehicle. The salesman showed me every feature there was to kbnow as well as actually going on the test drive. whenwe were doing the deal at his desk he did not rush to check my credit like all the other dealerships i visited. after we agreed on payments i asked to finance sales taxes my salesman then explained to me that eventhough i am financing the sales tax that it would not cover the city and county taxes and that i would need about $35 to $70 which he was correct it cost me $47. While we were waiting for the finance manager he showed me the service dept and introduced me to a service advisor which was also friendly. when we sat back down at salesman desk the finance manger came over and salesman introduced him to me. the finance manager was very helpful in explaining everything to me. as i was waiting for my vehicle to come out of the detail dept. the salesman brought over a sales manager and introduced him to me. the sales manger sat and talked to me which is very unusual because everywhere else i have ever bought or been only time i saw sales manager was when he was trying to pressure me into buying. When i took delivery of my vehicle my salesman again went over everything with me including the welcome call to on star. I will recommend this car dealership to everyone i know. GREAT JOB CRAIN TEAM AND THANKS AGAIN

VERY VERY BAD!!!

The Crain team in Conway was awful! They told us numerous lies. We waited 6 weeks after purchase to get our sales tax check (which you are only supposed to have 30 days to pay sales tax) and when we finally recieved it, it was not enough to pay the sales tax and had to pay $100 out of our pocket. When we called and left messages for them to call us back, they never called us back, we would have to drive there and talk to them in person to get to talk to anyone. The day we purchased, they were very nice and seemed to be helpful but after that, they were VERY rude. The day we purchased the car, we also hesitantly purchased the extended warrenty. They told us that if we decided to cancel it, it would be no problem but we could not go back and add it after that day if we did decide we wanted it so we got it then a few days later decided to cancel it because they had told us the day of purchase, it would last for 60,000 miles on top of what was on the car which would make the warrenty last until about 95,000 miles but in the paperwork they put the warrenty expiring at 60,000 miles on the odometor. They have been very slow in getting it cancelled to where we now have to pay a penalty. It has been about 7 weeks since we first told them we wanted to cancel the warrenty and they just now did the paperwork to get it cancelled. I will never purchase another car from them or recommend them to anyone else! They are the absolute worst car dealership I have ever dealt with!!!
