I contacted Ideal Cars and Tina answered my inquiry immediately, thus the 1 star. she said that the 2005 Ford Explorer was avail. and there when we arrived we were told that it was not avail at the Main just past extension, but that they had another vehicle and pointed in the general direction. Husband and I walked over to the vehicle. It was nasty and in no way ready to be shown. Mike finally came out and pointed to the opposite direction the other side of the huge lot. He then told us that he guesses that it was not on their lot. Tina than told us that the vehicle had been sent to Apache Jct. opposite end of Main St. we tested the vehicle, and sensors were going off. seems that the alternator was needing to be replaced. We were told that it would take 2 days, only to be called while on our way back home. We went back as they wanted to have us test drive the vehicle. The vehicle was not exactly what I wanted, had too many issues. but I decided that it will do for now, when I sat down to negotiate, I advised them that I was told that it had been at the first lot for 4 months, and at the Apache Jct for 2 months, this is info. that Tina gave us. I wanted to negotiate the price, the owners son was sitting behind me and the son looked at me and said NO, he would not consider any offer other than what they offered it at. I could not believe what I was hearing. I advised him that I would be paying cash no financing needed. I gave this information off the bad. I was very irritated/angry as the son stated that they had only had the vehicle for a week. His dad had already told us that they had the vehicle on the lot for a couple of months. I sure hope that he gave his young dumb son a lecture on how to treat the customers. I will never use this dealership and I will be sure to pass along how sub standard their practices are. I would not send my enemy there. They passed up cash. and Lied to me about the vehicle.

Buying a used car for our grandson was a stressful experience as we were on a limited budget yet wanted the best car we could find for his safety. Brett was respectful to our requirements, low key and knowledgeable about all types of vehicles. He and his wife spent time with us looking at inventory and encouraged us look around and drive any we thought might be "the one". After our first visit, we continued to shop, but brought our grandson back to Ideal AJ to see what we had found and make the deal. Thank you so much for making this a great experience! They sold me a vehicle that within the first month I had to cover 2000$ in repairs. They refused to have anything to do with it because I drove more than 500 miles so it went pass the Lemon Law. The whole car leaks water through every door and window and when I took it to a body shop to fix the leaks they told me there's 17 thousand dollars of damage and it's now a totaled vehicle. They've screwed me at every turn and they even lied to the bank saying I traded in a car when I traded a motorcycle. They are fraud and bad people.

After being told by the sales person that the A/C and brake problems had been fixed, I trusted their word and purchased a car in Sept 2017. But when my mechanic checked out the car (which I couldn't do before the purchase because he was an hour away), he found the A/C compressor was bad and the rear brake pads and rotors were bad. The repairs cost $1,843 on the $4,491 car, or over 40% of the purchase cost. I tried contacting the sales person and GM, but they wouldn't return my calls. I've reported them to the BBB, and now understand why their BBB rating is an "F". I should have checked the BBB rating before I contacted them....I would have stayed away from them.

Abstract: I went to the dealership to purchase a 2009 Nissan Sentra. Negotiated the price. Went for a test drive. Came back. Decided to buy the car. The financial department started going over the paperwork and we were surprised to see it for the price we asked for. We asked them about it and two people from this dealership agreed on the price. Purchased the car cash and left a happy customer. 1 month later we find out the dealership will not release the title and registration because they want more money - DMV says “Financial Lien” on the car. I would not shop here again. BBB rating is currently “F”. I have decided to contact Attorney General and BBB on them. Will keep you posted if anything changes but BEWARE. When I called the dealer, I asked for the supervisor/manager. The person that picked up, Mark, said “You are the one that [non-permissible content removed] me out of the deal, you lied to us about the price of the car..you [non-permissible content removed] me out of the car” [All is in recording] Long Version: Went to the Ideal Cars dealership in Mesa, AZ to purchase a car. We were working on a deal for the car that was originally for about $5000. We went to take the car for a test drive and to the bank to get the cash I was going to use for purchasing the car. Came back with $1500 in cash and said we wanted to buy the car. The financial department said the car was $4500 out of the door. We asked multiple times if that was true. We showed some paperwork the salesman gave us earlier on in the day of the car and how the deal would look like if the car was worth $4500. The lady said "Yes, $4500 out the door" and she had another lady there too that said, "They are getting it for 45". One of the lady’s name, Blanca/Bianca was a shorter, hispanic lady and the other lady who was hispanic as well had long black hair and stood taller than her. Bianca/Blanca did all of the paper work while the taller one was the one that took our $1500 in cash and charged our credit card for the rest ($3000). So we signed all of the papers to purchase the car, obtained the purchase order and the rest of the essentials, left as happy customers. We are currently waiting for the car plate to come in (1 month out). We go to the DMV, they said the title and registration process was not even started stating that there was a financial lien on the car. I called the dealership today and asked for a supervisor or manager. I get someone named "Mark" and tell him about the scenario above. He immediately lashes out at me saying, "We are the ones that process your plate. I remember the deal. You are the one that [non-permissible content removed] me out of the deal, you lied to us about the price of the car..you [non-permissible content removed] me out of the car, you told the lady that I will sell it to you for $4500 out of the door....you are a consumer that [non-permissible content removed] me" I told him I would be contacting the attorney general's consumer fraud division and he said, "let's do it" and hung up. As it stands, I have a purchase order with the agreed upon amount and half a mind to take them up on their offer to see what the attorney general and even the local news stations have to say about this. Ultimately, this is a company with an F on the Better Business Bureau and, being a trusting consumer, I decided to give them a chance to prove me wrong. Suffice to say, this will be the last time they get any business from me.

Ideal Cars has one of the best selection of late model used cars that are in GREAT shape. After a no pressure look around the lot I found a low mileage late model Toyota Tundra. Paid half cash and the finance department helped me get some low monthly payments for the balance. I had two ASE mechanics look it over and they both told me I got a good deal. I'm very happy with that. I feel I got an great, honest deal and would recommend Ideal Cars to anyone looking to purchase a quality used car at a fair price. Ask for John he is the man.

Thanks ideal cars! My old faithful vehicle from college finally broke down beyond repair.... (and left me stranded!!) That same day , i found a vehicle on the ideal cars website. When i stopped by the lot , it was ready for me to test drive. The finance mgr. was able to get my paperwork approved at the bank before they closed for the evening. I drove my car home! and didn't have to miss anymore work days trying to get it done !!

A 2002 Extreme Blazer package currently being advertised is not the Extreme trim package at all. The wheels are 15"not 16". There are no indications what-so-ever of this vehicle having any added features included in the extreme package.

The husband running the apache trail location is terrible, rude, unapologetic, and disrespectful to my girlfriend who purchased the vehicle. Was told the car we were interested in had to be looked at by their mechanic before it could be purchased. Days later we were assured it had been looked at and was good to go. The NECESSARY REPAIRS needed are as follows, brakes completely worn down and squealing, power steering system is leaking, ALL FOUR shocks need replacement, alignment is terribly needed, and half the bushings in the front of the car are in desperate need of replacement. Our usual mechanic who I trust with all my vehicles said no mechanic looked at this and if they did they shouldn't be a mechanic. The wife is obviously the brains of the operation, she is very sweet and actually cares for the customers. Husband just tells you whatever he needs to make a sale then when I went down there to talk to him about these problems he told me "not my problem anymore and I don't waste my lot techs time running every vehicle down to their service location in Mesa" Are you kidding me? THAT IS YOUR LOT TECHS JOB!! He told me "I can't help you I'm just a salesman" A salesman who tries to tell me my mechanic is a liar. Well are you a mechanic? No. Are you a salesman who is too lazy to properly screen all incoming vehicles? ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT!! You are the worst car dealer I've ever dealt with and you should be ashamed you put my 6 year old son and girlfriend in an extremely unsafe vehicle. IDEAL CARS should fire you immediately. Someone competent and capable of dealing with customers problems deserves your position because you're completely incapable and ignorant.

Last Christmas we bought a big jacked up Dodge Ram ( looks like a Tonka truck) from Dave at the lot in AJ. We made a verbal agreement on the down payment and before he gave him any money he pulled the truck off the lot and locked it up and marked it sold online. I thought how kewl is that ... off to a great start. So we held our word and delivered the down payment on time and have NEVER EVER been late on our payment. Now its late August and we want to get a camper/travel trailer but are so limited on options with a half ton truck and contacted Dave(he works the main office now) and told him what we were looking for . At some point my husband told him we were looking at a couple Fords and Dave was severely shocked because I am a die hard Dodge girl. So during these almost 3 week period we cant get Dave to return our calls. We stopped in to look at the trucks in person on 8/20/16 and he had taken a long weekend (would've been nice to have a heads up). So since he wasn't there we talked to the finance manager and I said well I know our credit isn't pretty but our track record is and he looked us up and said oh yea you guys are golden, said he would put our paperwork on Dave's desk for Monday. So Monday comes around and no call from Dave AGAIN... knowing we had been in on sat. So my husband FINALLY called and had a quick word with him So Wednesday still no word, no deal presented , nothing.... so I called and Dave wasn't available and neither was the finance manager ..so I left a message. STILL NO RETURN CALL so I called Dave. He said the truck we were looking at no one would finance because of high miles but its a diesel... and they're a BUY HERE PAY HERE ..... SERIOUSLY???? Once again the run around this is what we cant do without a this is maybe an option what do you think ?? So Thursday after lunch I called and spoke with Angie and filled her in without mentioning any names and asked for ONLY the Finance Manager to call me back . So its now 4:00 and once again no call. THANKS FOR ANOTHER LOUSY EXPERIENCE WITH USED CAR SALESMAN.. AND RUINING A PERFECTLY GOOD RELATIONSHIP!!!!!! I WILL TELL EVERYBODY I KNOW YOU GUYS ARE JUST AS BAD AS THE REST!!! [non-permissible content removed]!!! We are now dealing with a responsible dealer and are going back to DODGE...NO MORE COMPROMISING!!

I went to ideal cars to look for a car and I fell in love with an Accord, it has extremely low miles and it feels and looks like it's brand new. Their cars are awesome and the customer service is also amazing also!! Totally recommend buying from them!!
