This dealership does nothing but lie lie lie

by Mikegriffin on 06/19/2018

Managers lie about numbers on deals the claim they never did. You will get nothing but lies and disrespectful treatment from these people. Stay clear of this dealer. They even lie about gift cards to supposedly make up for the fact you were treated terrible. Great training program Nissan has.

DJ Kilgo was rude and treated me like I was stupid

by Mrgriff on 06/18/2018

DJ Kilgo treated me disrespectfully and is arrogant. Told me the dealership would side with him Even though he was trying to rip me off. He said that landers never allows negative reviews to reach the public eye. Beware of this dealer and DJ Kilgo for sure. Find another dealer to buy from.

Respectful in Honest when Appraising my vehicle

by cheryls3 on 12/03/2017

I took my recently deceased father's brand new vehicle here for an appraisal and they made a reasonable offer, apologetically explained why they couldn't offer more, and then suggested I check with CarMax and a few other dealers that may not be overstocked and in a position to make me a better offer. I really appreciate the respect and honesty.

Friendly and honest

by kken08 on 07/06/2015

I had receive a phone call wanting to purchase my used vehicle through the service department and didn't understand the how the process work. Speaking with Joe Johnson not only helped me understand everything by taking the time to answer my question but he wasn't trying to force me to purchase a vehicle. I set an appointment up with Joe to give me an appraisal on my current vehicle and to go over what specials they are currently offering. That evening I looked up my trade in value on my car and was surprised when they offered me way more than what is was worth. Throughout the process Joe was courteous and respectful by answering my questions and being honest about them. It took me a few days to decide and was respectful enough to not bother me during my daughters birthday part. He allowed to make my decision on my own time without numerous harassing phone calls are you going to but yet. The financial department was excellent in handle the numbers and getting my where I wanted without treating me like I need them more than they need me. I was very pleased to see the store manager go into every sales office to see if they needed anything or if he could do anything for the families purchasing the vehicle. When he came to check on me there was a question I had and without any hesitation took care of it. If you are looking for a friendly staff who will go the extra mile to make you happy then you need to purchase a vehicle from Landers McLarty Nissan of Huntsville Al.

Very Happy Deal!!!!

by Candi56 on 05/27/2015

We went to see about the Memorial day sale, but had only had our Versa for about 8 months so we weren't that hopeful. We decided we had made a costly mistake in buying the Versa, just a little too small for our purpose. But Vernon and Sam helped us and got us into a really nice Altima, well equipped and very comfortable. Thanks so much guys for all your help!!!!

Great Sales Team

by nbeezz on 03/23/2015

I was all set to buy another vehicle at a different dealership. A friend told me to check out LM Nissan before I did. Best experience! Vernon Mason worked hard to get me top dollar for my trade and to keep my payment down. Was so pleasantly surprised to end up with a brand new 2015 Altima S for less than my previous car payment. Love my new car. Thanks Landers McClarty!

Loyalty

by fleahold on 03/23/2015

I could write good things about Landers all day but I will keep it brief. I have been shopping there since 2005, and I refuse to go anywhere else and now my husband is a customer as well. Joe Johnson is awesome. I have always dealt with him and he goes above and beyond and then some. Love the customer service after you buy the car as well. Lifetime Loyalty for me.

Third Time IS The Charm!

by gr8fulblessing on 03/02/2015

My family is growing --rapidly -- 6 kiddos that need plenty of space. We were outgrowing our Suburban and Minivan and faced with taking 2 vehicles everywhere we needed to go as a family of 8, then we saw this lovely tank-looking van traveling down the street and thought "What's That?!" A little research and we realized the Nissan NV 3500 (NV Passenger) was just what we needed. Then the horror began - dealership 1 sold the van from underneath us just as we settled on a price - and informed us via text message... dealership 2 was rude, crude and socially unacceptable (to put it nicely) - to the point of yelling. Disheartened by dealership 1 & 2 we reluctantly tried a 3rd time and it was a CHARM! Steve Winter and Brent Drake were the absolute B-E-S-T. We have purchased new vehicles before and always felt like we got the raw end of the deal when leaving. Not this time. There was no pressure. We were in and out in less than 2 hours on a Friday evening no less! Mr. Winter was more than courteous, explained all options to us and helped us to settle on a price and financing before we ever made the 2 hour drive to the dealership. Mr. Drake did not pressure us to add anything on during financing and even informed us on how long we had to add-on various options if we changed our minds. We left with a new van and smiles. We literally would drive those 2 hours again to have our van serviced or purchase another vehicle from them. Really - who thinks of car buying as a pleasant experience? Obviously, Landers Nissan does. And we are grateful for it.

Our first New Van

by BamaNV on 01/24/2015

My Wife and I have always bought used, we have been married for 33yrs.. We have been looking at larger Vans for more room since our Daughter is handicap..We looked at Sprinters, (expensive, and no one locally that services them).. Ford Transits, bolted in seats and a huge waiting period for ordered models, Chevy Express again seats are bolted in.. We needed options and came across this Nissan 3500 NV Passenger with all the passenger seats removable and can reconfigure the seating arrangements.. BINGO.. We visited the Landers Mclarty dealership everyone was so friendly.. We were introduced to Mr Steve Winter and the rest was easy, he didn't pressure us,, he listen and answered every question.. We worked out a deal that we felt was as fair as could be.. We all have heard of Bad experiences at dealerships,, we didn't find it here.. Highly Recommend and ask for Mr Steve Winter if your in the Market for a Nissan NV .. The finance dept was really helpful and friendly.. We highly recommend...

First-Time Buyer

by maryjrdz on 01/12/2015

I had been searching high and low for the RIGHT SUV, and I hadn't found it. For my first car purchase, I was VERY picky. I knew what I wanted, the color, the features. With help from Ben Nunley, not only did I find the vehicle that fit me like a glove, but he helped me get it home the same day. Ben was the perfect salesman for me, being around the same age and definitely pointing out the options I needed were a big plus. As a first time buyer, he definitely helped make the process less nerve-wracking for me. I know who and where I'll go to for my next vehicle! Thank you for everything!

Worst experience possible

by Jleighrt on 09/03/2014

I was interested in purchasing a new nissan Altima so I came to Landers Mclarty Nissan. My first visit I test drove a 2014 Altima S thinking it was all I could afford because the salesperson wasn't even willing to show me anything else, I would have peferred the Rogue. The sales person said he would get back with me to run some numbers but never called back. Several weeks later I found a 2013 Altima SL I was very interested in so I called the dealership and someone said they would look up my info on my trade and that person never called me back. Days later a different person called and tried to get me to the dealership to look at a car and I told him I was not interested because of how I'd been treated. He told me if I came in he would work with the GM to get me a good deal on an Altima if I would just come in. I happened to be in town so I reluctantly agreed. When I got there they took the keys to my car and left me in the office for a very long time. I was late for work and I tried to get my keys back but they assured me they were almost done. The salesperson and the GM came back in and told me the 2013 SL was too expensive, but I could get an 2014 SV. I said that would be fine, so he immediately said that since I'm already late to work he would put me in a loaner car so I wouldn't put any more miles on my car and I could come back after work to sign the papers and pick up my new car. (Which became an S after the GM walked out) I felt very uncomfortable not even asking my husband about it so I took my keys back and left. I worked out the rest of the deal over the phone. My husband said that the dealership would have to pay off my car which was an extra $1000. The salesperson said that he would do it if I would come sign the papers after work so I agreed. When I got there they had a vehicle pulled up and I didn't even get to test drive it. When I went to sign the papers they had not paid off my car like they said they would. When I pointed it out the salesperson disappeared for 10 minutes and came back with only $500 taken off. I was so exhausted at this point I just signed it anyway. A few months later I came in to have my warranty repair, a loose trim piece fixed, and oil change done and needed a rental car; the rental department put me in a Versa that hadn't even been cleaned! It smelled horrible. When I got my car back they hadn't fixed the trim piece. In the meantime I've been very disappointed with the car overall. I wish I had gotten the Rogue and my husband hates the cloth material, I should not have been so pressured to buy a vehicle. I came back a few weeks ago to get my trim piece fixed again and an oil change and the guy in the service department said, "they do that, it's just a known problem with these cars". They offered a "complimentary" car wash as well, but when I got my car back they didn't even wash it. I told a new salesperson about all that I had been through and he offered to help and give me a "deal" on a Rogue. The original GM called me back and offered me $10,000 less than I paid for my Altima and thousands less than KBB. I was so upset that I called the GM and told him how disappointed I was and he cut me off in the middle of my story and asked me what I wanted him to do about it. I told him I wanted to be treated with more respect and he didn't even say he was sorry he just said have a good day and hung up. I could not believe I had been treated so badly so I called the customer relations manager she was very nice and apologetic, but the GM would only give me a little over $1,000 over the original quote. But she offered me a service contract for an additional year of oil changes as a consolation. When I got the paperwork in the mail it was only covered for 10,000 miles. So for all of my trouble I get 2 free oil changes and tire rotations so I can come back and let them treat me poorly for free. I do not plan to ever go back and would highly suggest others do the same.

My whole experience was excellent. The salesman, Joe J., was very knowledgeable and was very professional throughout the entire buying experience. Furthermore, Mr. J. has called to see how the car was performing and my satisfaction of the car.

MuranoMisery

by muranomisery on 12/27/2011

I purchased a used AS-IS 2005 Nissan Murano with 67,476 exact miles on the odometer from Landers McLarty Nissan in Huntsville Alabama August 17, 2011 with a verbal promise and guarantee that they do not re-sale any used vehicles that are not up to standard, dependable and trustworthy. Supposedly, all vehicles go through a thorough inspection process. My sales person, Eukrina’s exact words were “we do not put our name on anything that we won’t stand behind.”Two weeks after purchase I notice vibration and knocking noise from under the hood. Mechanical inspection from Madison Automotive on September 7, 2011 revealed that I had two motor mounts broken. (Front Engine Mount-part #11270CN101 and lower rear engine mount-part #11320CA110) Total repair estimate $847.12 I called the dealership to see if they were going to help with some of the repair cost and I was told that it must have been something that I did and that I should know that they had to replace the transmission in my trade in vehicle. Landers McLarty Nissan drove my 2000 Nissan Maxima before making me an offer and knew what the vehicle was worth and that should not have any bearing on the fact that this dealership sold me a lemon. Unable to afford replacement of both motor mounts at the same time, I had the front engine mount replaced on September 12, 2011 at a cost of $400.00, mileage aprox. 69,000. Firestone Complete Auto Care in Huntsville Alabama replaced the rear lower engine mount on October 15, 2011 at a cost of $402.15 exact mileage 70,486. At 72,469 exact miles the service engine light came on and after an engine diagnostic test with Firestone Complete Auto Care in Huntsville Alabama December 14, 2011 at a cost of $106.47 the result is a bad catalytic converter. I was advised that this could be a manufacture covered replacement issue. Landers McLarty Nissan of Huntsville performed their diagnostic test December 20, 2011 with the same results and I was told that yes it is a bad catalytic converter but that the vehicle passed the emission control test and that I must have used some bad gasoline. I informed the service person that I have only used Chevron regular grade gasoline since the purchase of the vehicle on August 17th 2011. I was told that there is nothing that they can do and suggested that I run premium gasoline in the vehicle to see if this clears the problem. I have relayed this information to a reputable mechanic and repair shop and I am told that is only a ploy to get me over the mileage whereas the manufactures warranty would not have to cover the repair/replacement of the $500.00 part. Now, an additional $1,005.73 later I’ve had both struts replaced with the need of replacing the shocks on the rear, bushings (both lower-front) upper radiator hose, front exhaust gusset, drive belts and two tires.

These people WILL rip you off

by tigerfan08 on 02/23/2011

O NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE, THEY RIPPED ME OFF AT EVERY TURN. YOU CAN IGNORE THIS BUT REMEMBER YOU WERE WARNED!!!!! First off they advertised a car at a real low price, they advertised it as having options that it did not have. I drove from Birmingham to Huntsville to get the car. Once I realized that it did not have power steering( a new car in 2010) they started moving me from car to car. I should have left then. But I had driven all the way from B-ham and I needed a car. They kept telling me that they felt bad about the MISTAKE and that they would give me a good deal if I bought from them. Well a New Sentra was mentioned, the sales manager Eddie asked did I like one of the ones sitting right in the front door.I took it for granted that they were 2011s, after all they are right in the front door. They remove the sticker, I believe , so that you will do just that assume that they are the current model year.. I did not realize it was a 2010 until we was in the finance office. By then I was too worn out to argue. They sold me on payment, I paid sticker for a 1 year old car. So much for the promise of a good deal. They got me and they got me good. THIS IS JUST THE MONEY PART of the DEAL PART THAT IS MESSED UP, On top of all this my NEW vehicle was damaged.Driving back to B-ham I noticed that I had a slighrt vibration in the front end. I figured that one of my tires was out of balance. Turns out that the rim was bent and the tire had a bubble in it. SOMEHOW the vehicle had a impact hard enough do that kind of damage but no one knew about it. I took the car back to them and asked them to let me buy another car of course they refused. I still cannot believe , that not only did I over pay, this car , in the current model year, can be bought all day for 17000, but I got a car that had been damaged, and the whole time hey sat there and smiled. BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE IF YOU WANT TO, JUST REMEMBER I TOLD YOU SO!!! They got me big time- never again. I hope you will not allow them to rip you off too.
