Super experience purchasing our new 2023 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate

onWe went to the dealership after being referred to see Weston Bonner. As soon as we walked into the showroom we were greeted by the manager Andy who showed us to a waiting area while we waited for Weston to arrive. He came in on his day off to meet with us. We were very impressed with the whole experience and Weston's knowledge of the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate we were interested in. Weston was so great, along with everyone involved in our purchase, made us feel like we mattered and wanted us to leave happy and satisfied.

Poor Dealership

onMy wife wanted a truck and we went to Bill Smith in Cullman. We gave them our price range and they come up with a truck one after the other. Finally they came up with one my wife liked. The brakes supposeably needed done so they said the fixed them. Well we have had brake problems with this truck ever since we bought it and we asked them abouot it and they did not want to fix it even though driving the truck was unsafe. We did not shop around and wanted to buy from the. Come to find out we could have bought a newer and better truck for the same price. They over priced the retail of this truck several thousand dollars compared to other dealerships. I will nevr buy from them again. I travel all over the south and I make sure I let people know they are [violative content deleted] and not to buy from them. [violative content deleted]

VERY EXPensive

onTook my car in because it wouldn't start. Was told it needed a starter and it would cost $700 for a new one or $500 for an aftermarket starter. I did some checking and found that these prices are way our of line. Most aftermarket starters were around $200. Why the difference. I will never go there again and believe me, I will tell everyone I can about how they are there.

Two Words - RIP OFF!

onI purchased a 2000 Elantra for my daughter in college. In just 3 months and 1 day after the purchase, the motor blew, the electric windows quit, the electric door locks quit, the heater quit and more. What's worse, my 18 year old daughter was on her way home alone from college on a Sunday morning about 9 AM when it all happened and was left stranded on the side of the road. I thought I would be covered with the warranty I spent over $1300 on when I purchased the vehicle for her but much to my surprise it would only cover a little over $1800, what the warranty company claimed to be the total value of the car! The salesman informed me when I made the purchase that the warranty would cover "ANYTHING" that happened, even if the motor blew! A new engine alone (according to Hyundai dealership) was over $5000. That did not include all of the other failures of the car and they even added the towing expenses to the warranty allowance! I contacted the dealership to be told I would be called back and after several weeks I had to return the call. I was told by the salesman that the car was not even worth $5000 and he would figure out what to do to help me out. After a week or so, the dealership closed and moved out of town (it was a satellite dealership in Oneonta via the Cullman dealership). I have made calls and sent emails to the dealership in Cullman and was told that I would be contacted by the owner himself, Bill Smith. Now, more than 2 months later, I still have not heard a word from any one and I let the car go back. The funny thing is, when I contacted the finance company and told them what had happened, they told me I should not have purchased a car that was going to break down! I personally do not shop for cars with a mechanic in my back pocket nor do I know any one else that does! Now I am out more than $2000 and a car. If you plan to purchase a vehicle in the Cullman area, please be careful of Bill Smith GMC, etc. - and bring a mechanic with you!
