This family business began in the 1940's, during the great depression, when Papa Joe Lowery and son, Thomas Clyde Sr. , began selling mules in downtown Boaz, Al. In the 1950's T.C Shorty Lowery began selling used automobiles just down the street. He began hauling just a couple of cars from Chicago at a time, and from there business began to grow.
