Anniston Used Car Search

by sarah82 on 01/24/2010

My parents are an elderly couple who live in a small town about 30 miles west of Montgomery. As they have aged they never really go out much so they havent had the need for a reliable automobile until recently, now that all their children are spread out they need a car that can make those trips to Mobile and Atlanta that Dad's old truck couldn't handle. We heard about the new dealership selling used cars Anniston had opened so decided to head up to see if we could find anything they could afford. The car business has changed a lot since the last time my dad has purchased a car but the staff was very helpful and patient. Eventually my dad found one he liked out of very impressive selection of used cars Anniston Kia had on the lot. Now my parents are ready to hit the road and can visit all of the family any time they want. My dad would have written this himself but he just cant seem to figure out that darn computer we got him a few years back!

Kia Anniston

by watersj83 on 10/19/2009

called The Kia Anniston-Oxford Store, Anniston, Al 36201, telephone [violative content deleted] on 10-07-09 and a Sales Consultant answered. I talked with him about an add I saw on their website for a new car. The ad was for a new 2009 Kia Sportage LX that was just under $19000 before all offers, rebates, incentives and so on. The salesmen told me they had a couple models in stock and that I should come on in. I made an appointment with the dealership and take the Sportage for my wife and I to test drive. The 10 minute test drive went great, my wife drove it, and i assumed if she loved it I would love it. She loved it, they gave us the deal, from the add, we bought it, and everything was great. Until on the 20 mile ride back to Talladega, AL, where I live, I found the drivers seat to be very uncomfortable for my body, I am pretty tall and have very long legs, and an old back problem that has been with me for ages. After driving for a couple miles, it was very apparent that the driver seat and I did not get a long to well. The way my body is set up, and the way the seat is set up, we just don't complement each-other. I regrettably called the General Sales Manager and told about the situation. I asked him if we could "undo" the deal and be able to get my trade-in back, because of the awful pain the drive in the LX was causing me. The Sales manager said that it would not be a problem but he would need to consult with the dealership owner and he would call me back as soon as he did. Quickly after we got off the phone, he called me back as promised, he went on to inform me that my entreaty was granted and I could bring the LX back to the Kia Store Anniston-Oxford dealership. I thanked the general sales manager and told him my back was killing me. I then has to pry the keys out of my wife's hands, because she absolutely loved the car, which I did too, its just my back that was the problem. Once I got back to the dealership, the sales manger immediately greeted me with a warm hello, and had already worked out the "undoing process", they pretty much made it like I never even went the dealership. They said they didn't feel right to have a customer driving a car that caused him severe pain. It was really amazing to me how cool the dealership was about all this. I mean it's a slow economy, and it's a new dealership trying to penetrate the market, and they still were focused on doing the right thing, something often overlooked in car sales.
