    I have a 2008 Sequoia that was new in 2009.5. We have had it for just 2.5 years and turned 40,000 when the entire audio/navigation unit blacked out. After $111.00 at the dealer, they said "yes, its broken." and now they want $2,000 to replace it. I certainly did no expect this quality from a $54,000 SUV. Very disappointed in toyota quality.     I have a 2008 Platinum Sequoia. The DRLs can NOT be turned off. Even though they are described as "on/off" in your invoice, they aren't. I believe then can be turned off in Canada but not in the US.     Search craigslist - at least in the bay area/sacramento. There are a few which the dealers are trying to get rid off as used but have 80 - 100 miles on them. 7yr/100k mile warranty ( from Toyota) costs about $850. I'm sure the dealers can be motivated to throw this in.

    According to the website, leather is standard on the SR5. That alone accounts for much of the price difference from the 2008.     I took my sequoia to the dealer this morning and they found a loose plastic insulation inside the headliner. they took the headliner out and remounted the loose part. i didnt hear any more rattle after that. It took them half day and was all covered by warranty. My advice is take it back to the dealer for proper repair. I went to Westbury Toyota in Long Island NY. :)

    Looks like Toyota has this offer as regional up in the SF Bay Area its only 3K. I wold like to see what people are paying. I got a quote from a SF dealer for $43888.00 on a $50890.00 MSRP. It should be better than this. The lease option is horrible right now on these, they really low balled the Residual value.

    I'm in the same boat as you it although it does look like they did add 4K down south I checked Longo Toyota. But I don't really see anybody getting 10K+ off MSRP. Hopefully people who have bought will chime in. I was actually looking at going down south and buying there. This month Toyota does not have any good financing. just the 4K.

    If you're looking at an MSRP of $60K on a Platinum then you're definitely getting ripped off by a dealer that's loading up the vehicle with dealer installed options.     I don't have this problem with my 2008 Sequoia, but I did with my 1995 Mazda truck and it was caused by the catalytic converter having a crack in it.     I also have a 2004 limited with the same problems. The rear window stop working all together about a year ago. On 08/12/2008 I shut the rear door and the latch broke. I called the Toyota dealership and of course this part is not under warranty. I will definitely call Toyota's 1-800 # to make a complaint. I believe the latch is a defect, this vehicle is hardly used.

    We purchased the cargo mats, instead of the carpet mats, from Toyota for the Sequoia and they not only look great but are also made for the vehicle. The rear mat comes in two sections for when you have the 3rd row up. Before you purchase the mats take a look at the Toyota mats.
