    When i turn up the heat on my Yukon XL it stays at full unless i turn the car off then turn it down to cold again and start the car. The AC works fine unless hte temperature dial gets turned to hot then it wont come back. Any ideas?

    Hey MrBrown366 took mine to a trusted mechanic. He took temp readings on thermostat and heater hoses coming out of firewall ( all were less than 100 degrees). Changed tstat and had heater core flushed, works like a charm. $160.00. Hopefully this heps

    Make sure HEAT /AC OFF postions, start vehicle. Turn vehicle OFF. Disconnect ( - ) negative battery cable. Remove HVAC / AC fuses ( you might have fuses under dash and hood ? ) Let vehicle sit 30 minutes. Connect ( - ) negative battery cable, start vehicle for few minutes. Turn OFF.     GMC Yukon XL Rear Differential's are poorly built, and should be recalled! Already rebuilt mine twice! Only problem I ever had next to the steer box, which as a recall item on 2002.

    I purchased my black 2001 Denali XL early in 2003. I found it on ebay from a Porsche Audi dealership in Minneapolis. Cool wheels and tires, 17k miles. Perfect condition. I only paid $31k, similar vehicles in Colorado were $38-$40k!

    Does anyone know of or have lifter noise on startup on 6.0L engine? I have 2001 Yukon XL 2500 SLT. My dealer advised GMC was looking at this problem under a Case #A001670. Can anyone advise??

    I got the $1000 2001/2002 Yukon rebate certificate a couple weeks ago from GMC. This rebate is for current GMC Suburban owner and is not transferrable. I purchased a 1997 GMC Suburban SLT 4WD. This certificate is valid until 9/30/2001 and it made me thinking about getting a Yukon XL Denali.

    For what it's worth, I recently experienced the cold air phenom. on a long distance trip through snow country. I have a Yukon XL, 2001 and the problem only surfaced in cold climates--I'm from So. Cal. My wife complained throughout the trip. I haven't found a cure either. Sounds like a design defect that GMC will not acknowledge.

    After going to several gmc dealers, I found a partsman who knew of those black factory wheel moldings on the 2001 3/4 ton XL... L.F.#15747829 R.F.#15747830,L.R.#15750081 and R.R.#15750082. I know the front fenders on the yukon are same as XL but no one will verify if the rear moldings will fit the yukon. If anyone knows,please post. Also be prepared to spend $125.00 each(wholesale price).
