Bought my 2009 Grand Touring a year ago. Loved it at first. They handle and ride very very well, very smooth, sporty, and the stereo system (bose) is awesome too. I loved the options the car had. About 6 months in, everything seems to be breaking. Weekly there is something new wrong. In the past 3 months I have fixed : Powertrain seal, all Brakes/calipers/rotors, wheel bearing, Power window motor, battery, Oil seperator valve. Now it seems to have a transmission problem and the electrical system has a problem. Have never been able to use the GPS or the memory seat options. The car has 130k on it. Would not recommend to anyone.

This car has a poor design flaw with water pump failing and putting coolant into oil ruining the engine. Loved this car until now. Mazda needs to fix this mess. Google it and it happened to me. Class action lawsuit filed.

Just purchased, so it's only been one week. So far we love it, extremely fun to drive and a head-turner in the neighborhood. I recommend everyone try this if you are in the market for a large crossover.

Poorly manufactured transmission and engineering. If you get to 100k, you will most definitely replace some very costly parts. There is zero support from Mazda. Your basically buying a tricked out Ford. I would not recommend this vehicle to my worst enemy

As fuel efficient as a dinosaur

We are a family of five with three young children and grandparents who like to come along for the ride. We needed an SUV with a true third row, and this was the best option (the Acadia and Enclave were not being leased at the time). Although I find the interior fairly comfortable, it does not compare to the Lexus RX 350 we had before this car. Also, the fuel economy is horrible -- I average 14 MPG with combined city & highway driving. My husband has a Toyota Highlander and gets much better fuel economy. Needless to say, this will be our last CX-9.
