2017 SEL 3.5L V6

We were looking for a Mid-size SUV for my wife, so we drove anything and everything she thought she might like. When it was all said and done she chose the Ford Edge SEL. She was coming out of a V6 car with 275HP, so she wanted a vehicle that had the power she was used to. The 3.5L V6 offered 280 HP (Couldn't choose this engine in the drop-down list above, as it wasn't there?) We were looking at comfort and utility over gas mileage for this vehicle, but the Edge gives us both of those things and still gets close to 20 MPG around town. The roomy SUV rides like a car, and is just the right size for us. It's nimble enough to make city driving more than bearable, and roomy enough to make everyday chores and travel a breeze. It's the perfect vacation vehicle. easy and fun to drive, very roomy and comfortable over extended trips, and has plenty of power. The interior is very nicely appointed, and we love the technology. we have 4 Fords sitting in our driveway, and the 2017 Ford Edge is a great addition to our family.

Our Edge is now 4 years old. It looks brand new when it is cleaned. We have the original battery, brake shoes and only replaced the tires recently because it had over 55,000 miles on it. It has a wide body so when you're in the vehicle there is lots of room in the backseat and the trunk is longer. With the EcoBoost we get over 25 mies per gallon.. We will probably get the next one in a hybrid

I bought my car used in May 2020 with 24,000 miles. I have loved everything about my car until my check engine light came on back in May of 2022. I was having to refill the coolant regularly and After a lot of running around I was told I needed a motor at 84,000 miles. My warranty would not pay because Ford posted a tsb since they now know they built a faulty motor and ford wouldn’t help because I didn’t have a ford warranty.. I just paid $6000 for a new motor only to find out my transmission is now messed up at 84000 miles also.. the tourque converter need to be replaced and that will cost another $2500 according to ford. Although there is a recall for one part of the transmission they will only cover the tourque converter IF the plate is already cracked.. why have a recall that you have to wait for it to actually break and cause problems before Ford will fix their mess. We spend a lot of money for manufactures to not even care about our safety..

The 2017 Ford Edge is a nice comfortable ride. Engine light warning appeared 2 days after purchased. It has been serviced twice and light is on again for the third time in less than a month.
