Best price
Bougth an SE for 6,500 off MSRP....this the best deal ever from buying a new car. This is my wife’s replacing the BMW X5 and could not believe that this car is 1/3 of the price and drives very well and options are all very useful. However, its lacking the engine power but enough for daily driving.

5 years of ownership in December 2023
Extremely well built and solid car. A sporty solid fun car to drive. Acceleration is good with the turbo stratified injection. Lots of cargo room, great radio and fuel economy. What a wonderful car at twice the asking price: Five years later this car is everything and more than I expected. Great fuel mileage (avg. 40+ mpg on highway) yet goes when you engage the turbo. Only negative and not attributed to the car itself is that my headlights are getting small cracks, I went to the Dealer for warranty work. They told me no that the headlight cracking was due to an accident probably someone backed into it at the Dealer Vic Bailey in Spartansburg. I called the Dealer and no response. I have had no problems with this car and in fact, I am looking to purchase another 2018 Golf Sportwagen SE.

So far so good
Traded my 2013 jetta tdi on a 2018 golf sportwagen se. Miss getting 50 mpg hwy but this wagon has so much more features ill get over it. I have loved vw since my 1978 vw scirocco.
Everything you need...almost
Pounded out 20000 miles in just over a year. It's served as my local commuter and family long hauler. I've averaged over 33 mpg with it. Only problem has been a leaky panoramic sunroof. Dealer cleared drain tubes and replaced headliner. No problem since. Air conditioning is weak. Seems to just be a trait of the model. I've sampled others with the same issues. The SE trim is lacking dual zone auto climate control and auto dimming mirror. Two features for which I'd gladly trade the sunroof. Rear seating is surprisingly roomy, but a bit too upright. No adjustment (unlike my Outback)
