Reliability plus
I am a tour operator in Australia - I use my Toyota L/C Diesel wagon to tour Margaret River wineries and outback areas and wanted to share with you that these are the most highly regarded vehicles in tough country. Good comfort over rough roads and long distances and proven reliability. I love it; my customers do too.
I have driven all the others. None match
Want a luxury sedan? Buy a Benz, a BMW, or a Bentley. Want a sports car? Buy a Ferrari or a Porsche. Want a watch? Buy an automatic mechanical like an IWC or Rolex. Want automobile superior differential mechanics, high torque that drives like a juggernaut, comfort and class with the utility of an eight-seater? Buy a Land Cruiser.
There is a reason the TLC is a ledgend
Solid all around sums it up. Capable off-road and a pleasure on-road with room for the kids, dog and all the stuff that goes with them. I traded a Land Rover for this car and never looked back. I've driven it in Blizzards, on the beach, off-road and plenty on-road. Never once was I concerned that we wouldn't make it. I plan to keep my TLC for as long as she's willing to serve though I may buy the 2016 model and give my current TLC to my 3 year old.
Love My Land Cruiser
This is my second Land Cruiser. I love the reliability, performance and protection. I was in a very bad accident with my three small children last winter, on a dark and snowy blizzard night. The only thing that saved my children and their mother was the weight and build of my Land Cruiser. Having been a Land Cruiser owner for over five years, I can attest to the fact that I have not once experienced mechanical problems nor do I expect any. It's just a very well built car with a lot of room and good features.
Perfection!
I traded my 2001 for a 2003, and was pleasantly suprised to see the telescoping steering wheel and stereo controls on the steering wheel. Also, the dashboard has a more pleasing shape to it. The only drawback to owning a Land Cruiser, is that you are never satisfied with anything less. It's an expensive love affair!
