2002 Subaru Impreza WRX AWD 4dr Sport Wagon (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 5M)

The WRX is the best all-around
performance bargain America. In the
right hands, it will outperform a new
Mustang GT in a 0-60 or 1/4-mile yet it
has the utility to haul a family of 4
and 2 weeks worth of groceries.

Those used to Taurus- or Camry-like
handling will find the suspension
tuning of this car somewhat rough. Yet
compared to other cars in its price and
performance class, the WRX has a
positively smooth ride. Overall, an
exceptional convergence of spirited
performance, daily/family adaptability,
reliability and affordability.

Best Features

Best things about this car are the acceleration, handling, and price-to- performance ratio that is excellent in its own right, but downright superb when everyday utility is thrown into the mix. Make it a wagon and the utility formula is exponetial.

Worst Features

Throttle response below 3K RPM is nonexistent; after that, hang on to something cuz it will surge forward with authority. Voltmeter, oil pressure gauge and turbo gauge should come standard rather than be a ridiculously overpriced dealer-installed option.
