Nice SUV but bad AC
Bought AWD SL 2014 Rogue in Apr 14. Only 4800 mils on it but have been to dealer two times due to auto AC problems. Dealer replaced seal on one visit but AC still not efficient. Seems to take forever to switch from recirc air to outside air in a relatively mild climate (Maryland). Dealer said AC working properly during last visit - if that's the case then AC is poorly sized for this vehicle. Had several other vehicles witn Auto AC and never had this problem - it was basically set-and-forget. Latest problem is cool air comes out of driver side vents but warm outside air out of passenger side with both sides set at 72 deg. Going back to dealer again.

10+ years of reliable transport
Not much else to say. We bought it new in July 2013. Definitely the most reliable car I've ever owned. A great all around car. Lifetime MPG sits at a solid 27. Over 160k miles and I'd drive it across the country tomorrow without hesitation. The CVT has been fine and I've never changed the fluid. The AWD and modest power are super easy on tires and it is GREAT in snow and rain. The exterior paint and interior are holding up VERY well (except for exterior dings but those are not Nissan's fault). No squeaks or rattles, none. In 10+ years I've fixed the following: fuel pump (recall), light bulb replacements, brake rotors (one time) and pads (twice), crankshaft sensor (quick cheap dealer fix), exhaust (large hose clamps to keep it from rattling), and...that's it except for tires (2x), batteries (2x) and oil changes (probably a dozen-ish). I don't think you could ask for a more reliable car. I'd love a new family car, but it's impossible to justify spending $40k+ on a new SUV when this one is so reliable and has basically everything a new car would have. Everything still works, it looks good, and it's very comfortable.

Supremely Happy With My New Rogue - It's In A Whole 'Nother League!
I am SO happy with my new '14 Rogue SL AWD and am totally in love with it! Nissan did a REALLY good job in this new redesign. I was a happy owner of a '11 Rogue SL AWD, but once I saw how nice this new baby was, I traded up! What an upgrade! This new Rogue not only looks better inside AND out, but it's better in EVERY way compared to the old one. It's good looking, comfortable, fuel efficient and SO nice to drive. My favorite feature is the supremely high build quality and luxurious feel of the car, in general. It feels like I'm driving a $40K car. And, I'm getting compliments on it EVERY where I drive. Do yourself a favor and sit in and test drive this car. You WILL be impressed!
Nissan Fan Until 2014
I've had this car for 10 months now and have already had various issues. The navigation/entertainment system stopped working suddenly for about 24 hours (3 times), still does on and off. I loved the idea that it was SXM ready. In Puerto Rico the SXM satellite radio does not work, Nissan did not associate with Sirius XM in the area. Sunroof started making noise, back took to repair shop, they un-assembled it, a month passed and noise started again, back to shop, still fighting the battle. I've been stopped by Cops 2 times, low head lights too bright. Very depressing when you purchase a new vehicle and it gives you many problems. I'm no longer a Nissan Fan. Anyone else with these issues?
Very Satisfied
I did considerable research, and kept coming back to the Rogue to meet my needs. After several weeks of ownership this car has exceeded my expectations. The SL is very luxurious and feature laden. Essentially everything seems to be well executed. And the performance is just fine - much better than I expected after reading some of the reviews. This is a great vehicle for its purpose. Updating the review after two years. The vehicle has been overall very reliable and continues to satisfy. I had one small mechanical problem - the bolts on one of the struts for the liftgate came loose, causing a horrible rattle, it was so difficult to find that it took two dealer visits. I have one major design problem with the car - the heated seats are barely noticeable, even on the high setting. In fact, sometimes I feel like the low setting is warmer than the high. The dealer replaced the complete heated seat system in both front seats and it is slightly better - but if heated seats are important to you, you will not be satisfied with this car.
