Better than Tacoma......
After researching all the medium and small size trucks my choice was the Nissan Frontier. All the nice features, style, design make it a better choice. The Toyota Tacoma would be my second choice but I paid $2,500 less for a Frontier with the same choices. Plus those sales guys at Toyota are really difficult, they want you to pay MSRP and don't like to deal. The new Long bed on the Frontier makes it an excellent choice, if you compare the size of the bed to the Titan there is not much difference... I love my truck!
109K Miles Down, Looking forward to 100K more!
This truck has been amazing. I have had no complaints at all. I feel safe with driving my family around in it. I do not worry that it won't start or will die on the road. I got it with 40K miles on it and have never wanted anything else. I am averaging 20 MPG with mostly hwy driving. Adding the K&N Air Filter was a great call. All my friends want one like it, and I highly recommend it to anyone. I am actually looking at another one as a second vehicle.
Great Truck Except....
I love the drive train and suspension on this truck - it drives like a sports car and is a blast to run the 2.5L 4 banger through the gears. My complaint? I can't find a comfortable position for the driver's seat. The door panel encroaches on my leg space, the front lip of the seat digs into my thighs, and the seat bottom/back is just plain hard. I'm now considering options such as a custom seat, upgrade seats from a wrecked SE/LE, or possibly reupholstering. The uncomfortable seats are starting to sour me on an otherwise wonderful truck.
This truck made me a truck lover!
I have now owned this truck for 16 years and it's still running strong! Compared to the Toyota Tacoma, which I also test drove, the Frontier has much better power, smoother shifting and more stable suspension - the Tacoma tended to surge when shifting gears, did not have the same power and had a "bucky" suspension (meaning it bucked from side to side). I love my V6 Frontier and have owned it 8 years now without any problems. Would have preferred that they keep the older, less bulky body style, but I do feel safe driving it. Would love to see them bring the hybrid model to the USA, which they have available in other countries. I love the tow capacity of 6,100 lbs. on my model - I have towed a 4,500 lb. travel trailer without any problems. I never thought I would love a truck - have always been a small sedan person (my prior car was a Nissan Altima, which was also an excellent car), but this truck has won me over. I hope to keep it for the next 30 years, but if I ever have to replace it, I am getting another Nissan Frontier NISMO! Update: I have owned the truck 9 years now and it is still going strong. Have over 85,000 miles on it and still love it! Poor thing could use a little bodywork, as it has taken many trips to Home Depot and off-road and has some scratches and dents, but I STILL get compliments on it all the time! Update: I have owned my truck 11 years now and it has about 105,000 miles on it, runs like a champ and pulls my 4,000 lb. Travel Trailer. I love this truck. Update: I have owned this truck for almost 14 years now. Had to replace the radiator, the shocks/struts, the driver side window controller and before summer hits, will replace the AC compressor and related parts. Other than this, the engine still runs like new. Strong and reliable! Update: I still own and love this truck and it's been 15 years! The AC compressor was fine - just had to replace some tubing and also replaced the charcoal fuel filter. It runs great and still gets me lots of compliments.

Great so far
I have only had my Frontier for a few weeks but by far it is a great improvement over my 2005 F150. Had tranny problems with that at 15,000 miles. Got tired of fighting it and traded off. This is faster, drives better and gets way better mileage then F150. great value. Toyota was way out of line on price and a dog compared to this Frontier.
