Excellent car
Have enjoyed driving this car more than I anticipated. I love the overall design and the driving dynamics. I knew this was classed as a drivers car, but it really grows on you the more you drive it. Have had absolutely no problems with it after 25000 miles plus. Combined fuel consumption is above 31 mpg over the 25K on regular gas while not "driving like a little old lady". Comfortable, practical, bullet proof reliability and a good drive. My other car is a Miata, and this solidifies my satisfaction with the Mazda brand. The new models now can be had with the turbo and additional HP, which would be nice, but not a must. My only "gripe" would be to have an extended arm rest in the driver's door - I have the seat all the way back, and then find the arm rest a bit shorter than I would prefer.

Loaner while car was in the shop
We were given this car as a loaner while my wife's Fusion was in the shop after being hit in the rear by someone texting. I found the Mazda to be OK but nothing exceptional. It rode harsher and with considerably more road noise than the Fusion it was replacing but felt a bit "smaller and lighter" (so to speak) handling wise. One thing I really disliked about it was that the steering felt "nervous" requiring constant steering corrections as it seemed to tramline on even the smallest road issues. Overall it was OK but in truth I was happy to get the Fusion back after driving this for about 10 days.
