2016 Jeep Compass High Altitude 4dr SUV (2.0L 4cyl CVT)
Not flashy, not fast, this little car is a trooper. Good solid ride. Not a zippy vehicle, but it moves steady. Reliable, fabulous electronics (satellite radio, navigation and Bluetooth, plus all the basic) and comfortable. Design is attractive and timeless, we have a sunroof and really enjoy it. The interior is super easy to maintain thanks to the heavy plastic and solid moulding, so … hope to get longer life than the previous leather we had which suffered from sun exposure. We are pleased with this basic vehicle that rocks steady performance. Nice to,have a car we can afford and be proud to drive and be seen in.
A hidden gem

2016 Jeep Compass High Altitude 4dr SUV (2.0L 4cyl CVT)
I bought mine used with 22k miles. It’s the high altitude and I added my own radio with the Apple car play because that’s invaluable to me. All these reviews have me shaking my head. If I buy a Charger and it’s sluggish, okay valid complaint because it’s a car mad for speed. Anyone that buys any truck, SUV etc. and complains about speed and fuel efficiency is crazy. It’s like biting i to … an apple and composing it doesn’t taste like an orange. This is a solid vehicle for the price. It’s a Jeep not a Cadillac so it’s noisy as Jeeps tend to be. It has a small gas tank but I am consistently getting 280 miles to a tank with 90% highway miles. Ride is smooth, seats are very comfortable( and I have 3 bad discs in my back). Lots of room in the cargo area. Rear seat could have a bit more legroom but the passengers I have had said they were comfortable. Rear seats recline 35° which none of the haters mention. Lots of goodies like heated seats, remote start, tilt steering wheel, sunroof and leather accents with hand stitch accents. Sorry but those alone would cost much more in other vehicles. I’m a speeder always have been it’s not 0 to 50 in an impressive time but it’s gets there and handles it well. I pass lots of truck, cars van etc without a problem.
Don’t listen to the haters it’s a good vehicle especially for the price.
Wide range of options!

2016 Jeep Compass High Altitude 4dr SUV (2.0L 4cyl CVT)
Jeep made a real improvement in 2014 getting rid of the CVT transmissions in almost all of it's Compass models. The CVT was problematic as most are sluggish and performance is poor due to their design. The Compass is often underrated. The value is found in the less expensive models. The top models are vastly overpriced. Better off with a cheaper trim on a Cherokee than the bloated … Compass! Older models with the CVT have earned the Compass a otherwise lower resale value. The CVT was paired to a measly 2.0 engine most years.
