Is there really such thing as perfection?
Honda is a name synonyms with quality, durability and bang for your buck. Of course no vehicle will be the right one for everybody. No matter the maker. The CR V is no exception. It’s not perfect. I love my CR V. Maybe it’s not a power house, then again I’m not planning any races. The interior materials are better than my old Toyota. I haven’t experienced any breakages. Say what you will, I have owned this marvelous little SUV for 7 years with no issues other than standard maintenance. It’s well thought out and considering what you get for your money, I think Honda spent the money in the most important areas a fine drive train, multi safety features, and durability. And if the CR V lacks in a few interior niceties who really cares. Keep your eyes on the road not the lack of burnished aluminum, carbon fiber or fine wood trim that would make Rolls Royce jealous. It’s a tool that tries to be as rounded as it can be in it’s price segment and does a very good job. Next time buy a supercharged Range Rover for 100k it will give you everything you desire; leather heated full power seats with memory each with its own heating and cooling feature rear picnic tables and TVs in the head rests, rear climate controls and cigarette lighters and ash trays for all passengers, adjustable reading lights and wool carpeting. And a class leading 12 ml city, 18 ml highway this is all wonderful stuff if you can keep it out of the dealers garage long enough to enjoy it. One word... Honda!

Tom's CR-V Review
The CR-V was okay. The interior was kind of cheap. Had to have the heating system flushed due to a blockage. Thank God the car was still under warranty. Too much road noise and the seats were not comfortable after spending long hours in the car. Gas mileage was acceptable.

I love my CRV!
If you want reliability, economy and comfort, this is your vehicle. I commute daily about an hour each way to work. I live in the back hills of Ohio, with very steep hills and sharp curves. I never worry if my CRV can make it. If you just do the normal maintenance, as you would on any other car, this car will last you for a very long time. As far as things that could be improved, there is no fast setting on the windshield wipers unless you hold the control up. A CD player that only holds 1 CD? When you turn on the heater, you must remember to push off the AC-WHY? It comes on automatically anytime you use the climate controls. These are minor things, but overall, I love the feeling I don't have to worry about the reliability.

Honda CRV makes a good truck subsitute.
I was originally looking for a small truck to replace my 2000 Xterra. But the gas mileage was not to my liking. I them started looking at some of the smaller SUV' s I settled on the Honda CRV for my needs. I pull a small utility trailer for my business and never pull more than 1000 lbs. The 2.4 liter engine is powerful enough for my needs, I still can get over 30 mpg pulling my small trailer. I just finished taking a 1200 mile road trip. And using the ecomode got 34.9 mpg. Ride quality, handling and comfort were great. Update 2/2016 I now have a extra 10,000 miles on my CRV since my last review in 2015. I still think it makes a good small truck substitute. I have hauled around numerous large bulky items by lowering the back seats. And hauling as much as 1200 lbs. in the small trailer that I tow to get materials. Gas mileage has been no lower than 26 m.p.g. in the winter around town using the mandated oxygenated gas, to around 36 m.p.g. on long summer highway trips. I am very pleased with this Honda.

LOVE this car! (But IMID clock is insulting)
Local dealer needed more used Oddys. Traded in the 2010 I bought from them and they credited me 100% what was left owing on it towards leasing a '13 CR-V. Couldn't be happier! Increased my fuel economy 75% and lowered my monthly payment by 50%. Albeit I won't own it after 36 months, but usually I buy a new car every 3 years anyway. So far, it has been a wonderful vehicle. Standard features that one used to have to buy a Cadillac to get! The only complaint I have is the analog clock display on the center IMID. I love the looks of it center-dash like it is, but I find the inclusive digital time display insulting. I can read a clock, I don't nee the digital display along with it!
