Want my F-150 back
ngreene, Nashville, TN, 12/11/2018
2019 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4dr Crew Cab 4WD 5.8 ft. SB (5.3L 8cyl 8A)
First time it rained water leaks in rear window. Tail gate broke in the first week. The bluetooth drops phone calls and turns down the volume on the phone without warning. Left at the dealer today with1700 miles, they said to expect two weeks for the parts and repairs. Maybe I will have no additional problems going forward.
Very happy with my purchase!

2019 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4dr Crew Cab 4WD 5.8 ft. SB (5.3L 8cyl 8A)
I traded in my Toyota Tacoma TRD sport to get a full size truck due to “two little additions” to the family. I went a looked at all four of the major brand full size trucks ( Ram, Ford, Chevy and GMC). All four were very nice trucks and this is my personal basis review. The ram had the nicest interior but I feel that had way too many electronic components which are likely to fail, and … the reliability of the Dodge 5.7 in the past has been bad. It was a good looking truck, but I feel that they try to make it look to “luxurious” and “goddy”. Driving the ram it felt heavy, and had a lot of body roll. Even with the 392 rear end it still felt sluggish off the line for having a hemi in it. The Ford F150 Was a very rugged and capable truck. I would’ve only been interested in the VA because the realit was a very rugged and capable truck. I would’ve only been interested in the V8 because The unknown reliability of the TwinTurbo 3.5. The truck was probably the most comfortable to drive, but the interior seemed like it was very outdated comparative to all the other trucks. I felt it would’ve been the most capable off road and for towing but I could not spend upwards of $50,000 on a truck that had seats from 2004. And I heard there was a lot of problems with the 5.0 coyote motor. I know a lot of people are hit or miss when it comes to the Chevy Silverado but I did think it was a nice truck, and the Z 71 drove identical to the GMC. Me personally, I just wasn’t a big fan of the front end of the Chevy. The GMC x31 I felt was the best truck for me and my family, I love the interior I love to have the truck looked on the exterior and I like how it drove. With it being a new model in 2019, I’m sure there is going to be small issues but there always is with anything you buy and that’s why you have a warranty. I know a lot of people here are upset with some big issues they’re having with their GMC but don’t let that neglect you I’m taking a serious look at one, they’re beautiful. All of my coworkers have all different types of brands a brand new trucks and they all have had issues in someway shape or form. I bought a Tacoma in 2017 brand new, and had nothing but problems with it. So much for being the most reliable truck.
GMC glory days are in the past

First I would like to start by saying that i wish I had gone with a different truck brand. Way too many issues to list but the most important and noticeable are with the transmission. The way it shifts, the way it feels I mean just everything is off about this piece of junk. Not a fun truck to drive at ALL! When coming to a stop it feels like you’re getting rear ended and it’s just … plain annoying. It sucks big time because this are the issues I was trying to avoid by going with this brand and take the bullet and pay the extra money for what supposed to be a quality brand truck. Boy I was I wrong. The only good thing about this truck is the exterior body style everything else suck. I wanted to write an extensive review but really don’t want to waste my time on something that according to the dealer and gmc headquarters it’s normal and that there are no way to fix it or recalls. STAY AWAY FROM GMC

Which Sierra 1500 does Edmunds recommend?
While the Denali trim is popular, we recommend first taking a hard look at the SLT. The SLT is available with a long list of options and can be optioned with the same 6.2-liter V8 that's available in the Denali. We also recommend sticking with the SLT's 18- or 20-inch wheels rather than the optional 22-inch wheels in the interests of ride quality.

Driving
7.5There's no replacement for displacement, and the optional V8 is a wonderful engine. We wish the brake pedal feel wasn't so lethargic. Handling, too, lacks any real edge, even in Sport mode. But if power is all you need, then the Denali is a worthy consideration.
Comfort
7.5The Denali is aiming to be a premium truck but, aside from the comfy seats and effective climate control system, we don't see what the fuss is about. Our test truck's 22-inch wheels produced a lot of tire noise over rough terrain.
Interior
7.5Purposeful and without frills, the Sierra Denali is designed for ease of use. It's roomy and easy to get in and out of. Shorter drivers may not like the tall hood and the relationship between the steering wheel and the seat when the seat is raised.
Utility
8.0The GMC's bed is quite useful and convenient. It's big, with plenty of tie-downs. On top of that, it has useful bed steps and an exclusive MultiPro tailgate. The tow and payload ratings aren't sky-high, but that's not a major concern. The back half of the large crew cab has lots of room for cargo, and it is easy to fit just about any child safety seat.
Technology
7.5Even if the screen is a little small, the infotainment system and driver aids work well and are easy to use. The head-up display can show speed limit info through a handy bar graph. Otherwise, the story is about incremental improvement with this generation truck.
