Love my R8

I bought it used, and feel I definitely got a good bang for the buck. It's a gorgeous car that turns heads, even though I couldn't care less about that. It's of course a super car, and the performance, handling and braking are fantastic. What's different is that in the regular settings, this car is far more driveable than many high performance cars. It's very comfortable, and could easily be a daily driver, whereas many of the others in this category beat your kidneys and back up. I love the car and plan on keeping it for many years. I've had almost zero mechanical issues in two years, and just really enjoy it.

Porsche 911 turbo's are truly amazing and so are Ferrari F430's. Actually I was looking to buy one of those. Instead I ended up getting my R8 and i have no regrets whatsoever. Once i layed eyes on her on that showroom floor i was mesmerized. The car is spectacular. No surprise that is, since eventhough Audi is considered the underdog, strangely so, being that Audi is the largest car manufacturer in the world with vast experience and success in rally, touring car championships (DTM) and last but not least LeMans.!! And thats exactly what the R8 is. A championship winning LeMans derived car. Enough said. As for the lack of space, if you wanted more, you wouldn't be buying a Supercar, just like if you wanted a Supercar you wouldn't be buying a minivan. There is no such thing as a perfect car that does everything and is for everything, but if you want to live the dream without having to sell your kidney, and if you want a smile on your face every time you start that engine, then go out and buy one

A Rocket With Style and Grace

The generation 1 R8 does have a couple of drawbacks from the newer models, the automatic mode is sluggish and not that much fun to drive (manual tiptronic turns the car into a rocket) and the radio definitely does not integrate well with smartphones without the addition of third party hardware. With that being said, it is an amazing vehicle for the price. Fast, nimble, and catches attention everywhere you go.
