Helping my youngest son buy his first new car, we went to Volkswagon of Freehold, they had the exact car my son has been looking for, a hard to find special color Jetta Gli Autobahn. At my age I've bought a lot of cars, for myself, my wife, my kids... and this is the first time I've ever been impressed by the experience at a dealership. Our salesperson Noah Durgin made this one of the easiest and best car buying experiences that I've ever had. He was a pleasure to deal with and the entire buying experience with him was excellent ! I'll admit I can be a bit difficult to deal with (so my wife tells me) but Noah worked with us all the way through until we reached the deal I was happy with, actually extremely happy with. At no time did I feel that they were playing the “how much can we get this guy to pay” games like most dealerships do during the buying process. They even bought us lunch while we were sitting around while the credit checks were running. (The meatball sub from Attilio's was excellent, but that's another review) The gentleman that helped us with our financing, Andre, I believe he's the finance manager, got us a rate we definitely didn't expect. My wife is in finance and knows her way around the credit thing. We came in expecting a rate right around 4 percent (son has good credit, but not a lot of credit history), he walked out with 1.9. Any other dealership would likely have worked him a higher rate, and made more profit for themselves. My wife's car just turned over 110,000, we'll be visiting Noah and Andre again very soon.
