Big surprise
This car is by far the most outstanding surprise, very fast, comfortable and reliable, I am not crazy about the look but is good enough for the money.
Have had three
That's how much I like(d) these cars. One burned up, one was stolen and trashed, and the third is my 30 year old project car, teaching my son to drive stick and have fun in a lightweight, quick and nimble car. Being thirty years old, these cars are getting quite hard to find, and hard to find parts. I could get antique plates now. I've been very hard on them, racing and modifying, but the engines are rock solid reliable. The five speed had "5th gear popout" issues -- I rebuilt my transmission with the updated service file gear back in the day. Other than that, it's a solid car. The NX2000 came with the larger front brakes, a superb suspension, a sweet 2.0 liter engine that is more than happy to pull all the way to redline (and in fact you should do that regularly for engine health!). Take the t-tops off, turn off the radio, and enjoy some twisty back roads on a sunny day. It's too bad they don't make cars like this any more.

my nissan 2000 nx
This is a great first car. And a great summer car with the t-tops. You get alot of look s with this car also because it is rare. it is just all in all a great car
They don't make 'em like this anymore...
Didn't have any strong expectations, it wound up blowing me away. Torquey engine, impressive power, very impressive 32mpg economy. Bland cockpit, but the steering, shifter, and controls all offer very nice tactile feedback. With the rear seats folded down, the car offers tons of hauling space, par with most mini-SUVs. Lastly, T-tops? It's not a little roadster by any stretch of the imagination, but having that combination of power, versatility, economy, and still having the wind in your air makes it almost the perfect car!
So Much Car--So Little Money!
This little car is my all time favorite! She's so fun to drive, so fast, still so modern looking that it is a wonder I'm not in jail--this car will fly if you are not careful. This car is safe and reliable to boot. It is really too bad Nissan quit making such a great little sports car! What a loss. My only complaint--I have to open the door with a key--no beeper like everyone else has these days!
